I was here back in September of 2019 when I came to the Carolinas on vacation to visit friends and family . I grew up in Bennettsville , but came to Cheraw a lot in 84 and 85 to hang out with friends . I came here hoping to find a Carolina Gamecocks shirt I would like to take back to Las Vegas and I found two ! They were only $11.40 each , you can't beat that ! The place is like most big Walmarts with almost everything you need . It was clean and a good sized parking lot . We have about 10 Walmarts in Las Vegas , no lie . Some better than others . Cheraw is a nice town , with nice people . That is why I miss The South . read more

On December 15, 2025, I visited the Cheraw Walmart around 9 a.m. I noticed two employees discussing personal issues, which I felt was unprofessional considering they were on the clock and in the presence of paying customers. After checking out, one of the employees asked me to return my small basket to a designated area. I had observed her engaging in casual conversation rather than focusing on her duties. A Walmart is a Walmart is a Walmart. Yes, they do have low prices, but lower prices can be found on the internet at times. They carry too many products made in China, where they should be encouraging Americans to embark on creating their own line of merchandise for sale. I dropped off several prescriptions on Wednesday and they told me they had to order one and it will be in on Friday. Ok, I'll wait. Friday comes and they don't have my medication and hopefully it will be delivered on Monday. So, that's 5 days I have to wait for my prescription and hope that it is being delivered that day. I have in the past had other problems with Walmart Pharmacy and I only used them because it was one convenient stop while we're visiting from out of town. I'll have to wait until I return home to get my essential medication, wow! The cashiers are friendly and this Walmart had adequately stocked shelves. Their bakery, in my opinion is below par and I never get lured by it. Fruits and veggies are ok, but mostly not organic and you can find better prices elsewhere. I do not buy meat here. I rarely visit Walmart in my hometown, but the ones near me are better stocked and the interiors are brighter. I don't know if it was their lightbulbs, but you kind of get a feeling of dread when you walk into this store. Also, they only had one electric scooter available and it was on it's last power cell, I barely got it back to the plug. The self check had multiple people waiting on line to use them, while there were only 3 cashiers on register. I went to the register and was very pleasantly greeted by a lovely woman, who couldn't be a smidge nicer. What a pleasure. I'm not trying to dog on this store, but this is my honest experience from visiting this Walmart store. read more

Customer service stinks here especially in the deli. Routinely will have five or six people behind the various counters and every one of them is busy ignoring the customer!!! How about a little cross training and a reminder course that the customer is the reason you have a job!! Best thing about this Walmart is the guy out in the parking lot gathering carts and making virtually everyone smile with his greeting!!!! read more

I am so disappointed. On June 8th I waited 2 and 1/2 hours for a standard oil change and told them I have a nail in my rear tire. I was there before 7:30 and the bay doors weren't opened until 8:00. First they didn't fix the tire (or find the nail) and second, On Monday driving my 40 miles to work, the undercarriage cover almost FELL OFF ! Luckily a friends work was close by and her coworkers saw the screws on the front were complete gone and the back screws were "finger tightened" and were close to coming out as well. Really Walmart ? Now I'm questioned if my oil filter is tightened AND if the oil plug is really there. Worse oil change EVER. The manager Brandon was nice but said WM controls the schedule and they are short handed on Sat. You people need to step up or you'll be losing more customers.. I will not be back - except for them to correct their screw up on my car. read more

They have nothing you need and like Cheraw McDonalds the mixers are broken and if you need something you have to drive 30 minutes to get what you need at the Rockingham Walmart. I wanted to get my kid a pack of baseball cards and they had weird cards that I have seen nobody buy and i have seen people buying baseball cards at my Walmart and I needed paint and their mixer was broke. Long story short it SUCKS!!!! read more

This is the worst walmart in this area..poor customer service..if you go in on sunday morning there is one checkout open.the garden center is closed until someone decides to show up for work..constantly out of stock in grocery department..the store greeters are sitting on a stool in the corner..if I could give this star a 0 I would. read more

It is WalMart. They are out of everything you need, have tons of crap you don't, but the bathrooms are clean in this one. :-)

I am so mixed on this Walmart - it has self checkout, so there is virtually no waiting anymore. They are VERY clean and VERY friendly. HOWEVER, it is hit or miss if they have common items. Though prices are good, customer service isn't. You can rarely find anyone to help you in any given department, cashiers are many times rude or act like they are bored to tears to check you out and many who you do find in a department, know nothing about the products or tell you they don't have it when in fact, you end up finding it on your own. Only bright side is seeing Jimmy outside greeting all and bringing smiles to so many faces. read more
