A typical Walmart but with the added grocery section. When we go vacation at a lake in Cheboygan, it's our go to grocery store and odds and ends needs. There is a Family Fare next door for some specialty items but the Walmart has better prices and most of the things we need. It also is cleaner and fresher than Family Fare. Usually pleased with the produce and bakery section. Great selection of meats as well. Would definitely recommend. read more

Their bottle returns need a lot of attention. many don't work and there is a long line because of it for others to use. When mentioned to customer service, the response was "That's normal". Well it shouldn't be for the amount of business circulating here in Cheboygan and nation wide. Shameful to say the least. read more

Basic for a Supercenter, this one has the usual grocery section with softlines, electronics, pharmacy and such. As well, they permit overnight parking in their lot which I found particularly helpful as I'm driving around in my Class B sprinter van. We love this Walmart! We spend a lot of time in Rogers City throughout the year and this store is great to have near for the "emergency" items we have forgotten at home and can't buy from local, small businesses such as kids' life jackets, bathing suits, kids' boots, winter coats, etc. This store also has a great variety of produce that is often more fresh than other grocery stores because of volume. This Walmart stands out from other Walmart locations because the employees are so friendly and helpful. The store is also very clean. The worst Walmart I've been to. Food is often open inside the packages; also, frozen foods obviously were unfrozen at one point in transfer because I've had many frozen meals turn out horribly (stouffers Mac and cheese that heats up like cheese water). I've bought a vacuum from there, used it once, now it won't work and is non-returnable even though I purchased it 5 days ago. My rating has gone down because they have trouble stocking. For a month now they haven't had my milk that I get but they have stocked other things which isn't much cause it took about the same amount of time to restock their frozen potatoes. I find it strange that it take three people in one area to stock something but they can't seem to stock certain other items. Not to mention that the still are rude and don't tend to their customers very well. I have walked by many of the employees and they don't even greet you or ask if you need help. I tried to give it a one star review but it wouldn't let me. I 'changed my review bec First of all their service desk has a line backed up until you are near one of the checkout lanes bec they only have one register open. And second, Walmart does not honor their warranties. I bought a 4 T external hard drive from them & I bought a 2 year warranty on it. 3 months later my external hard drive quit working on its own so I took it back along with the receipt & the warranty. They told me to call the number on the warranty so I did. They told me that they couldn't do anything. That I had to take it right back to Walmart. I am getting the complete run around. My advice is don't buy any electrical appliances from Walmart. I also found out that they resell appliances that customers take back bec they are faulty. read more

Girls trip to mackinaw. After getting my oil changed at home 3.5 hours away noticed oil leaking the next day. Not many oil change places open on a Saturday in Mackinaw, We drove over to Walmart auto center in Cheboygan and explained my situation. They were awesome!! Determined it was a faulty gasket. Knowing I had a oil change 24 hours prior they only charged me to replace the oil once they fixed the problem!! Thank you Walmart Auto Center!!! read more

I purchased a ham toady from the Cheboygan Wal Mart for Sunday dinner. Started to prepare dinner and opened up the ham to find it covered in slime. Looked at the date on packaging and found it past the "best used by" date. This is the third time this Wal Mart has done this to me. Shame on me for not checking dates out better. But SHAME on them for not pulling expired product and trying to get rid of/sell it. I'll be taking the ham (with label) and receipt back. Instead of a planned Sunday family ham dinner, we ended up with cold tuna fish sandwiches. Thank you Wal Mart. Be alert at this store! read more

The interior is definitely homish. You walk in there like it's just another Wal-Mart but once you're in and you smell that fresh smell and you.just truly relax and be yourself, you can just see yourself staying there forever. The game center includes all the proper games you could want to play. The employees are always in good moods, especially Deborah. Make sure to go there after midnight, she's the beautiful youthful woman with amazingly braided hair with Deborah on her shirt. If you have the chance to visit this wonderful place, I suggest you do so because honestly it is a great place to go with the family. Horrible deli. I went to the deli for some some General Thai chicken. I tried it immediately It was barely warm so I went back to the deli to explain this being a chicken product it needs to be kept at 140 degrees. So I gave it back to them. I continued to check on the deli as I shopped. Was there for a half an hour to 45 minutes, the same chicken still sat there for sale. I am a food inspector, my advice is to stay away from the hot foods at the deli and if this is how they handle hot foods you probably ought to stay away from the rest of the deli as well. read more
