I ordered groceries to be delivered to my house; a hold was placed on my card and I thought that would be it. A few days later I open my bank account to find that I am overdrawn and I look through my transactions to find that they did the hold AND charged my card again. Basically charged me twice. So thanks to the walmart app I don't have any money until they get rid of the hold or refund me. So fair warning to all who use the app be prepared to be charged TWICE! read more

I had an amazing experience attending Walmart pharmacy yesterday. My dad recently went into hospice, and the hospice social worker said that they would transfer dad's billing to hospice. When I went to pick his meds up, this hadn't been done yet. Patricia, the pharmacy tech was SO patient and kind. She called hospice and was able to enter the correct information, explained so kindly that they'd need to set his meds up differently for hospice and why, and that they ended to order a different med in one instance. She checked with the pharmacist a couple of times to make sure she was giving me the correct information, and she was! I felt very cared for and appreciated her compassion and kindness. read more

Wish it could be zero stars. I attempted to purchase alcohol there (I am 49) and because I had my son with me who did not have an ID I was refused to be able to purchase. The store clerk said it was their policy. So I asked to talk to a supervisor and she reiterated what the clerk said. Walmart this is a dumb policy. The auto center is a joke. the assistant manager,Kenlee, has an absolute bad attitude and bad customer service. I feel bad for the techs who are always busy and understaffed. I know one of the techs and what they pay is a joke. How do they expect them to do their jobs when they are understaffed. The other lady in the department that checks people in, some old blonde broad is always cursing at the customers. I have complained to the department manger Tammy about never taking walk ins she was just a bitch. They despise veterans and encourage horrible behavior. Everything is left to a few techs to solve or fix. The techs are brought inside to put products away instead of helping customers. One guy is always on his phone and another just walks around. I have complained to the store manager about the issues i have encountered and he doesn't care either. Just really sad. read more

4/5 for my grocery pick-up experience. My order was ready when promised and I checked in via the app when I arrived at the store. In less than 10 minutes Assistant Manager Mike came out to my car with my order, informed me of the item they couldn't fulfill, loaded my trunk with my groceries, and I was on my way. Mike was super friendly and genuinely seemed to enjoy what he was doing. I didn't give the overall experience a full 5-stars because I don't particularly care for where they have the grocery pick-up located in the parking lot. I am a very understanding and normally very friendly but I have to say Walmart customer service has put a very bad opinion from me for the past year. I would rather drive to Coralville then deal with the unapologetic and generally un professionalism that this store has allowed their work staff to become. Walmart seems to be good at making money by exploiting people that are trying to save money. I've never seen the store with so many staff but such poor customer service. They just don't seem to care to get people out the door with their purchases in any reasonable amount of time. I went there late at night around 11 and this is typical of what I've seen in the past at Walmart. They'll have 10 self checkout registers but only one working a line of 30 people waiting while their ice cream melts. Most of the staff are stalking but they tend to be out of so much. They just really don't care about customer service. I guess they just figure they have enough people little deal with their nonsense to make enough purchases to keep the money coming in and that's all that matters. read more

GOOD People work at this store. I goofed big TIME, self checkout and I asked for $60.00 cash back, then walked away leaving the $60.00. I didn't realize until the next day when I reached for some cash. When I stopped back, some employee had turned it in along with a copy of the last transaction at that device. Me producing my receipt showed proof that the $60.00 turned in (on this transaction) was mine. Kudos to this store, to its management and employees! :) read more

Stupid door monitor - gal at door needed to see my receipt. It took me awhile to find it because I stuffed it in a sack at the register. Several sacks later she had it in hand. When I asked if she wanted the other one - I had two orders, she said 'no' and waved me through. Why does she need to look at one and not the other?? It should have been very obvious to anyone that the cart held far more items than those shone on the receipt in her hand. i could have handed her a Hy--Vee receipt and I really doubt she would have noticed. The next time this happens I am placing each item on the floor in front of her and will not leave until she matches each item to those on my receipt. read more

Completely unorganized, dirty staff not helpful whatsoever went there on my way to school to get some last minute school supplies for my kids spent a good 40mins there to make sure that I got everything I needed and get in line and that's when they decided to tell everybody CASH ONLY at the only 2 registers open, I wasted my time, when they could of announced it or have the greeters tell customers as they walked in so we are not wasting our time thinking we can use our cards so many people walked out pissed including me. Marion Walmart. The stockers block the aisles and give you a dirty look when you try to walk around. Angry, unfriendly, unhappy help abounds here (except for one checker, a man with silver hair who is always very nice). The last straw for me was that there were only two checkers open on a busy Saturday afternoon. I waited in line for 20 minutes and when the checker got to the person in front of me she said that she was closing her lane and that I and those behind me would have to go to the other check out lane (where there were already several people in line). I was so mad I left my entire cart and walked out. I will not be back. Their prices aren't that much better that customers should have to put up with such poor service. read more

In April of last year I ended up spending $1024 to repair a brake line they broke while putting on my new tires. Worst part is they didn't even tell me they broke it. They were going to let me drive off with no brakes. I have been warning people ever since. My son just found out the hardware for himself. He had his oil changed and they must have used an impact tool to put the drain plug back in not even Midas could get it out. Now he has to replace the whole oilpan. This store is not only dangerous you will wind up spending a lot just to fix their incompetence and negligence. read more

95% of the people who work at this store are RUDE!!! I was told customer service opened at 6 then 7 then 8. When I called to speak with the store manager was told by the rude woman on the phone that they "just walked in" and could not take my call. REALLY??? She asked what I needed and I stated I wanted to speak to someone about being told different customer service times. She started going off on me saying every day was different on what time it opened and that some stores their customer service is NEVER open. I told her she had poor customer service skills and I would be calling back to speak to her manager. She said "you do that" and hung up on me. I could tell she LOVES her job. Where do you start with this WalMart? Its scary here! And im not easily intimidated. Not only must you fear some of the people that work and shop here, you must also worry about purchasing something expired or spoiled, or damaged. On some days stepping on a poopy diaper. (Yes, that almost happened) There is however always something interesting to see here. I have dealt with some decent employees here, but I would say your chances are 50/50, at best. The bathrooms smell of rotten genitals and the appearance matches. The lines are long. Its difficult to find someone for help and usually when you do find them, theyre clueless on how to help you. Latey many items I go here for are sold out or not stocked. Isnt this a "super center"? I think Im done with WalMart. Those prices arent rolling back far enough to keep me coming back anymore. I will pay a tad more and shop anywhere else. I would like to add: How is this WalMart allowed to still sell fish!?!?!?! Those poor creatures. I went here for an eye exam and checked the box stating that I only needed contacts. Following the exam, they would only write me a one year prescription instead of the standard two years most places do. On top of that, they decided to charge me for a glasses prescription which I did not want or need. I do not recommend going here. read more

We live in this area and have shopped at this Walmart for many years, but we will not be going back. Checkers have usually been friendly and it's hard to argue with Walmart's prices. In the past year, the cleanliness of the store and the quality of staff has gone down. There have been some random shootings in the parking lot, but we didn't feel the store should lose business because of some bad customers. There are still some great employees trying to do a good job, and I feel for them, because others just stand around visiting and have a negative attitude if you ask for help. Last week was the worst. The "official" Walmart greeter stood in the center of the doorway, arms crossed and stared us down as we walked by. No "welcome" or otherwise - just a belligerent stare. I have no idea why he would have a problem with us, but it's the first time I've ever felt nervous just walking in a store. read more

This is the rudest unprofessional store ever! The door greeter "Jose" stands at the door being rude to most of the customers. I have seen him watch customers get attacked by other customers and he just stands there watching like it is paid preview. I have also witnessed him standing there picking his nose and wiping it on the counters of subway. Doesn't wash his hands doesn't use a wipe and then touches customers. He is just gross. I have also witnesses deli workers going into the restrooms with apron on and gloves on. Don't wash their hands after using the restroom. Don't take off the gloves, nothing. Just goes back to work cooking chicken, cutting meat and cheese, and serving up hot meals. Yummy! Today was the straw that broke the camels back. I tried to talk to the manager. He acted like I was bothering him with these issues. I called the health department about what I have seen. I will never go back and if I do it will be to call the police to "Jose" that like to verbally abuse customers. He needs to get a taste of his own medicine. I will be calling corporate office but I don't expect they will do much about the problems at their stores. They think they don't care about loosing customers or anything. They act like there isn't anywhere else to shop. Hate to tell you Walmart but I have been finding way better deals at fareway and HyVee then anything you can come up with. read more
