Costco has taken over as the pit stop for me when on a long road trip. This one is located between…read moreCalgary and Edmonton in Red Deer. This Costco has it all. They have a gas station for you to fuel up. The warehouse itself is a typical Costco warehouse setup. They have enough interesting stuff to keep me entertained for a few minutes. Their clothing selection is different from my normal Southern California selection. They had hoodies for both the Edmonton Elks, Calgary Stampeders and the Saskatchewan Roughriders (CFL football teams). The hoodies were reasonably priced compared to NFL hoodies, I ended up with one after discussing it with some of the locals. I didn't look at any more of their merchandise. The men's restroom was clean. My wife did not complain about the women's restroom. The food court had the usual hotdog, but, also had a the Canadian Costco specials of smoked meat sandwich and poutine. This Costco is a great place to stop at when on a long road trip. They have everything needed for a pit stop.

Busy parking lot!! The Walmart is huge with plenty of…read moreselection of merchandise and well placed still hard to find due to relocation of product. Seems like all the Walmart I've been to lately are going under major renovations and reorganizing with in the stores. Added security measures such gates that automatically open with sensors as you enter and exit by the self checkout the store with more cameras. Found what I was looking for and went through self checkout. The associate was very friendly and moving customers along as soon as a checkout till became available.

In a package of 6 bagels, there is often 1 or two with only one raisin in each bagel, and another 1 or two with 2 or 3 raisins. They need to double the amount of raisins in their recipe. Thank you.

We stopped by the Duggan Mall today to shop at the Thursday Farmers Market…read more We ended up with some small purchases from local vendors as well as another round of items from the Hallmark store we'd shopped at earlier in the week. This mall is smallish and like many smaller indoor malls in North America is in decline. That said, the movie theater and other stores here all had shoppers in them. The vision and hearing care clinics were busy. The 2 restaurants each had a few customers. I think events like the Farmers Market being held here is a good thing for this mall.
