I had an unpleasant experience at the CVS on Old Trolley so I decided to use this location to…read morerefill my prescription. I went in because I wanted to use a coupon, drop off two prescriptions, and pick up two. So it seemed a little easier. The pharmacy tech/cashier was super friendly and helpful. She answered all the questions I had. I was in and out within a few minutes. I don't really shop at CVS but the store was clean and organized. I was greeted when I walked in.

No matter the day or time this pharmacy is always slow. Going in or hitting the drive through does…read morenot make a difference. Staff in the pharmacy is never friendly or welcoming, act as though the customers/patients are an inconvenience to them instead of actual human beings with medical needs. I've been picking up RXs here on a regular basis for a year and a half. Never have I been welcomed with a "hello" or "how you doing". On almost every visit I've had to wait at least 10 minutes, with drive through usually 20-30. On my latest visit the tech (Danielle) yelled at us about it being over an hour wait even though I had proof that both the app and text message said my prescription was ready the day before. This was for pain medication post breast cancer surgery, that I was forced to leave without. This was the last straw. Will be transferring all of my RXs to Walgreens even though it is extremely inconvenient geographically. Would rather go out of my way then be treated like an inconvenience. Two stars because the retail side staff always greets customers and is friendly and helpful. They will take time to walk you to what you're looking for. They point out good deals and sales also. They have a good variety of items to look at while I waited for RXs to be complete. Only downer about retail side is they refuse to check you out and force you to use the self check out. Some customers just prefer service with a smile, not a machine. I don't work here, should self checkout not provide a discount?

Why do I keep coming to this rat hole? I came to get my 90 day supply after getting a notification…read morethat my prescription was ready, the store is virtually empty, no line so I approach the counter and provide name and dob, she looks me up in the computer and turns around to look in a box in the circled area (see picture), without saying anything she goes to the back and comes back about two minutes later to look in the same box, this time she pulls all the prescriptions in that box and goes to the back again. Nothing! Long story short a second employee comes and doublecheck the box and all the surrounding boxes, still nothing and this time they both go to the back. One guy waiting behind me and about 12 or 13 minutes later one comes back and looks again in the circled area with a little more systematically and orderly approach, Nothing! I look up and in box number 71 at the top and at a distance I seem to recognize my last name on the first label sticking out and when one of them comes back I tell her to see if that is my prescription and LO AND BEHOLD it is my prescription! She comes to me with a surprise expression and when the other comes back she tells her "he found it"! Two stars because two people tried hard but ratgreens system sucks Three months from now I will take it to the competition for refills. It seems like they don't have enough personnel, there is merchandise at the end of every aisle to be put away and almost no customers Bye bye ratgreens store in disarray

Guerin's Pharmacy is a historic pharmacy that opened in Summerville, South Carolina in 1871. It is…read morethe oldest pharmacy in South Carolina as well as the oldest continuously-operating business in Summerville. It was founded by Dr. Henry Charles Guerin. The roots of the pharmacy go back decades earlier. Dr. C.F. Schwettmann owned a drugstore in Charleston, but it was damaged by cannon fire during the Civil War. He set up a new drugstore in Summerville in 1864. In 1871, Guerin (a former Confederate soldier and graduate of the Medical College of South Carolina) purchased the pharmacy and Schwettmann returned to Charleston. After Guerin passed away, the pharmacy was taken over by his son Dr. Joseph C. Guerin. The younger Guerin's colleague Dr. Herbert F. Dunning later purchased the pharmacy. Since 2014, the owner of Guerin's Pharmacy has been Dunning's grand niece Barbara A. Dunning, RPh. My family and I visited Guerin's Pharmacy this past summer while we were visiting family in town. Our cousins told us to check out a really cool old pharmacy in Hutchinson Square. We had no idea that pharmacies like this still existed; we had only seen ones like this in the movies. In addition to a pharmacy, Guerin's also essentially doubles as a general store where customers can purchase souvenirs, postcards, books, t-shirts, etc. Guerin's is also home to a soda fountain, which were popular in drugstores during the first half of the 20th century but rarely seen today. Customers can get Blue Bell brand ice cream, milkshakes, malts, floats, fountain sodas, hotdogs (with or without chili), pickles, or a number of different treats from the candy counter. My wife and I shared a cup of "Mint Chocolate Chip" ice cream while our sons shared a cup of "Cookies 'n Cream". My wife also enjoyed a strawberry milkshake while I had a bottle of Cheerwine. It was so cool to step back in time at Guerin's Pharmacy! We'll definitely visit again on a future trip to Summerville.

What a difference location can make. When I lived in Indian Trail NC, we had a Harris Teeter by…read moreeach of my two houses. Much smaller and not as sophisticated. I'm here to tell you Harris Teeter in Nexton must be the best one I've been to in SC, literally while it puts all other local grocery stores to shame. I wish I lived close and not off of Old Trolly. When I say it's huge, I mean it, I lived in Kansas City and Austin TX, I know big stores - hint Bucee's first gas station was 14 miles from my house. First of all, the location is easy to get in and out, ample parking and the main road right there. It's in a very safe section of town while inside and outside are extremely clean. Any one will pick up on that immediately walking in, which should put any customer at ease. The produce section ROCKS. I mean it. For instance, I've been hunting for watermelon radish for a long time at 3 other chains and nothing. Harris Teeter had, watermelon radish, dragon fruit, buddha fingers, Rambutan, fresh exotic (not dried) mushrooms and so on. Moreover, I inspected some raspberries and a few other things - no mold! Best produce besides a farmers market! Next, it looks as if they're experimenting taking a page out of midwestern stores' playbook. They have a bar here! Now being a single gentleman I often like meeting women at a grocery store - although I always find the attractive women have some sort of rock on their finger. But I'm seriously considering coming back when it's open, if it's a true bar and not just a wine, beer sampling area. Not that I don't love a good wine tasting but my imagination tells me I would enjoy the upper crust time of "fu-fu, bougie" women that I envision would be partaking here. I need to do more research but I love this idea for the greater Summerville area. While I didn't get any of their baked, seafoods, meats, salads, etc they have by far the best selection, excluding specialty butchers and fish mongers. Their fresh bread laced with rosemary and olive oil danced on the air while chocolate perfumed a few isles. I scanned over everything and cursed my diet b/c I could have really destroyed their food here. As for prices, it's probably just a bit higher than their competitors but I don't mind paying a little higher for a more robust selection. I mean, I saw things like phyllo cups, the newest fall items already being stocked in July, a wider selection of health foods and the list goes on and on. Finally the people here are extraordinary and go the extra mile. I asked where something was and the clerk took me too it. They didn't say "isle 4 by the bread" but nope they wanted to make sure I got what I needed. Moreover I don't have a card, No Problem! They gladly slid the store card in the reader to give me a discount! Come on... who else does that!? As far as grocery stores - this is where you want to go. The only thing lacking the variety of instore made food options and a place to dine. Granted, I came from Austin TX where we had HEB, literally 5 restaurants in the grocery store. Same for Hy-Vee in Overland Park KS. Those Midwest grocery stores - they have full dining experiences. What's next a movie theatre!? Ok, back to the point, here in Summerville, Harris Teeter is the king of grocery quantity, quality and customer service. Drop on by and check it out, but make sure your bank account can handle it.

You get what you pay for! and I get it! it is my fault not theirs but I also blame management for using poor quality ingredients and for the bait and switch factor. Had to throw most of the pizza to the trash, I should have not paid attention to what my friend said about the Monday pizza. About the only thing I like about this store is the bar with live music some days but makes me think what kind of wine am I getting. They are in the business of selling groceries and you would think that the deli and the bar side are just a convenience for the customers but I am not sure I will buy any prepared food or wine from a brand I am not familiar with
