This can definitely be a shorter review for me. Ok. So I rarely ever write bad reviews. I ONLY write bad reviews when it's warranted. I never want to abuse the review game like SO MANY do! Like too many do! People write bad reviews out of spite, bc they couldn't get this or that...so they'll make sh_t up. I know people don't know me from the next person, but I've always taken this review writing seriously. Just need to get that out of the way. Geneva Walgreens...again, it's like any other Walgreens. However, they have an employee there by the name of...Jessica. I KNOWWW I am NOT the only person who has left there after dealing with her feeling like..."wtaf just happened?" Jessica is RUDE!! Ruuuuude! Like RUDE! She legit never smiles! I've been in a few times while here and NEVER smiles, never greets you, nothing. When I checked in here, that day I was there looking for Halloween stuff. And you know at all Walgreens, by the register, they'll have like a shelf of candy and above that is like a rack of magazines, chapstick, etc? Jessica legit saw me walking towards her lol. I put that "lol" bc this is as funny as it is...just annoying and unnecessary. Well, Jessica sees me approaching and knew I was gonna ask her a question. She dips behind that rack of magazines and candy...acting like I didn't see her. I thought... is this b for real right now? She even lowered herself down. Like she legit had NO desire to help any customers. I stood on my tippy toes to look over and was like..uhh, yeaahhh...can I ask you something? She stood straight up and let out this "sigggggh...ugh sure" I was like OMGGG! I described what I was looking for. She POINTS! "Any Halloween stuff....yeah, in the Halloween aisle" I was totally floored. There was another employee in the Halloween aisle. He saw this. I didn't realize he was like an employee employee. I thought he was one of the reps from one of the companies that set up displays, or one of those guys that bring Coke products and whatever. I knew he wasn't delivering Coke lol, but you know what I mean? He sees my interaction with her. Gives a quick glance over to her and then says..."yeah, what are you looking for?" I told him and like so many retail employees do...or are told to do by employers (I worked retail for years) he took me right to the item. Apparently Jessica has been there for a long time. I've mentioned her to several people and EVERY. SINGLE. ONE! said the exact same thing about her and how miserable, mean she is and has NO desire to help customers there. I honestly don't know how or why any place would ever keep an employee like her...one who clearly hates her job and even more so..:hates the thought of helping anyone who comes in....to....a RETAIL store! For the record too, I was not mean, I didn't come across as mean, I just simply asked a question. If I was in the wrong, I ALWAYS own up to that, but I definitely was not even close to being in the wrong here. I always love going into Walgreens. There is a homey factor to it for some reason lol. If I see Jessica at this store tho, I legit hope someone else comes up to ring me up bc she's just gives that...uneasy feeling. If y'all know... y'all m'fn know! Hahaha! Jessica, cheer up, mate! Life isn't as bad as you make it out to be. You may hate to smile, I get that. I hate my smile, but I still do it lol. Does it mean you have to? Nah of course not, but damn! All I wanted to do was return 2 items that were purchased at their nearby Walgreens store for…read moredelivery to my home. But for some reason, the customer service representative at the register decided it was necessary to see my original order on my phone. Which I questioned since I had a receipt with me showing I had purchased those items. She then proceeded to ask me why I didn't return them to the other store to which I replied "because I'm shopping in Geneva today". As far as I know, Walgreens does not have a policy of having to return things to the store they were bought at, and if it was policy, she should've explained it to me. it was if she thought I was trying to cheat her somehow, I've never been questioned about returning something when I have both the product and the receipt showing that exact product was purchased. It didn't help that she had an attitude as if she was doing me a favor by considering accepting the return. I do have to wonder if she had a problem that I was still masking since I've noticed a lot of customer service employees give us weird looks because of it. since I'm trying to protect immuno compromised family members I really don't give a shit what she thinks or anyone else thinks. Needless to say, I asked for my receipt back and left the store with my product. I will update after I return the items to the other store. I am curious what kind of questions I'll be asked there.

Pleasantly surprised that there is a CVS presence in Penn Yan where we had recently moved. It's a…read moresmaller layout, but when we needed my husband's BP prescription re-filled, it was nice to have the ease of just heading to a CVS without having to transfer all the info to a different drugstore. Grateful that Penn Yan has a nice balance of small local businesses peppered with a few national chains. Just one more thing that helped as we transitioned to our great new hometown.

so our military returned to geneva armory and there was an issue with their bathrooms so a friend…read moreof mine walked over to rite aid on corner of main and castle and asked to use the restroom..they don't have a public restroom but the cashier allowed him to use it..a couple of his buddies (also military) asked to use it and they were allowed by cashier..(they were in uniform)...when another one came in and asked if he could use it according to my friend, the manager stepped in and told him 'no' then started yelling at the cashier and cursing at her...wow--unbelievable..

I am not one to ever write reviews good or bad but I was so upset over my experience here today…read morethat I had to share it. I am a wellness member and go to this rite aid all the time. I received a 30 percent off coupon that was good for today and only wellness members were allowed to use. I got the coupon by email and there was a barcode right on it to scan. I spent 30 minutes in the store then went to cash out. The girl was not aware of the coupon but a male employee there said we could use it if we were wellness members which I am so the girl tried to scan it and kept saying it wouldn't work to the guy. Instead of him coming over to help he said oh you must have to print it I said it says no where in the email you have to print it there's a code right here to scan. He still did not come over to help and told me there nothing they could do. I was furious so I just walked out. Went one mile to our rite aid downtown and 3 of the employees said oh yeah you can use it on your phone and scanned it right away, it worked fine.

I can't believe I'm writing a review for CVS, let alone a five star one. But I have to give kudos…read morewhere kudos are due! Joe in the pharmacy went above and beyond to help me fill a prescription. I was driving into town without a needed prescription and called from the road to get a small supply locally. I thought it would be easy (since the prescription was on file with CVS Caremark), but Joe jumped through a LOT of hoops to transfer it over and get it filled (including repeatedly losing contact with me as I drove through no service zones during a thunderstorm), all in the last 45 minutes of his day. Above and beyond service. (And the person who checked me out at the register was very kind and nice as well!)

I have very rarely left a negative review but my experience with a pharmacist at this CVS today…read moredefinitely warrants one. I picked up my prescription, and had a question for the pharmacist. When it was my turn, the pharmacist was so rude in her manner that I actually walked away without asking my question. Customers usually are picking up prescriptions because they are either sick or in pain. At the very least, they deserve professional and courteous treatment. I will be changing my pharmacy location the next time I need a prescription!
