I had some time to kill before my business meeting that wasn't too far from the mall, therefore, killed some time by browsing. This was one of the stores that I visited the mall. I came here just to check to see if they had some cheap b-grade movie DVD's for sale which they did. Bad picked over titles but I managed to pick up for $2 a DVD of a really bad Lindsey Lohan movie where she pretends to be pregnant. Looks like my weekend is set with the bad weather. read more

Cons: Small Parking Lot Dis-organized store (Hard to find things) and layout Less selection than for example the Walmart in Lougheed Mall Run-down McDonald's Overall I am not a big fan of this Walmart. I used to shop at the one in Lougheed Mall which is superior to this one in terms of organization, layout and selection. I really miss it in fact! McDonald's should be located by the Walmart entrance NOT at the back of the store... For the love of God, fix the layout in this store. Everything is all over the place. read more

I NEVER leave this store empty handed. I dropped by today (New Years eve 2010) and found 3 huge 1000g/35oz balls of yarn in the most fab color for only $12 each. The other forest green in-progress crochet blanket I've got on the go is being built with single 350g large balls of yarn (for comparison). Thank you Walmart! read more

On Tuesday September 18 I ordered a kitchen cart from Walmart. The description boasted a "solid beech-wood worktop" with a solid wood structure. And it promised delivery in three days. Well, what I received had all these features - solid top and wood for structure, but the sides and back were paper thin veneer, if not veneered particle board. The moral is clear: don't buy blind on-line. They never claimed it was solid wood and so I can't hold them responsible. However, Walmart did promise a delivery in three days. So on Friday September 21 I waited and waited, and waited. I finally received a notice that the cart had been shipped. It was time stamped 4.49 pm. Estimated time of arrival was the 24th. I realised then that while I had ordered from a Vancouver Walmart I was really dealing with Walmart Ontario, and that the three days shipping time was from Ontario to the reception centre in Delta. Delivery was due on Monday 24th. NOTHING HAPPENED. Finally I contacted the on-line chat and was told that the parcel had been given to the courier [Loomis] at 8.04 am. They knew nothing more. So I waited and waited. Finally at 4.45 I wrote Walmart customer service and blasted them for poor service. That seemed to have woken them up because when I returned home that night I found the parcel on my doorsteps. Time of delivery was marked 7.30 pm. This had to have been a special delivery because Loomis states that they will try twice and if there is no reply that's the end with respect to delivery. While I was grateful to receive the parcel, I have to wonder what if someone had walked past and decided to help himself to a "free" parcel? I am not happy with the service. First it should make clear that the package is coming from out of province and NOT from their local store. Second, unless they can control their courier, we, the buyer would be open to very shoddy service. In past deliveries from truly local stores, I have been advised if the parcel is coming in the morning or in the afternoon, and the better ones will give a time. So be aware if you are buying on-line from Walmart! read more

Walmart has the absolutely worst grocery service I have ever experienced! My delivery was for 3-5pm. At 6pm , I called to ask what is going on? First I had to wait for customer service to pick up the phone then waited for grocery delivery to answer. They told me that the driver could not find my address in downtown Vancouver. I live in the west end. A well known street. They told me he is on his way back to their food depot with my groceries . Then they will be transfered in another delivery car. Well I waited for another hour. Tried calling back again. No one at the grocery depot answered the phone. It is now 7pm. Finally at 9:30 my order came! The first thing the driver said was his back was aching. No apology for this extremely late order. Half of my order was in a SKIP THE DISHES bag! The driver left behind by accident a piece of paper with SKIP THE DISHES orders on it! Some frozen items were soggy, some items missing and some substitution. This was a $93.00 order. Never again. The most annoying part was why did they not keep me informed and why did the so called original driver not call me for direction? Please be aware. read more

worst walmart ever!!!! very disappointed,,,,ive been lied to , hung up on, put on hold more than a dozen times.....told my pictures are ready 1500 miles away....then told they would mail my pictures with in 24-48 hrs to my local store,,,that was 15 days ago....also they told me yes they are here in my local store,,,when it was a lie....ive wasted 15 hrs on trying to get my pictures....false promises,,,no management available,,,,what kind of a company is this. 4x told no management available and hung up on. very disrespectful of me and my time. read more

I have bought SO much at this North Vancouver Wal-Mart since I moved to Vancouver two months ago. Right now, my keyboard is resting on the nice computer desk I bought there. Today, we bought a kitchen table and chairs, coffee table, end tables and a bookcase. The prices were just as advertised: low. It is taking my husband hours to put together the kitchen chairs, as there are tons of screws. But we got this beautiful table set and four chairs for $299. That's a real steal. We also do our grocery shopping there. There's no fresh produce or meat/poultry. But there's a good selection of non-perishables, refrigerated items such as milk, juice and yogurt, and frozen foods. read more

On Sunday June 18th 2017, at 1:05 p.m. I finished shopping at Walmart Capilano mall located in North Vancouver and noticed an error on nectarines price on receipt causing me to be overcharged. The Nectarine price according to shelf tag was$4.34 per Kg. and cash register with correct item code was registering at $5.45 per Kg. Beside I had to go back home ASAP because an elderly person needed my help, went to customer service to mention the error. On such a busy day at Walmart instead of two person, the poor management of the store put only one person at customer service instead of two so that line up waiting does not get long and people not be frustrated. I expected the person at customer service to call the supervisor to send someone for customer service but the person was acting quite indifferent of people frustration waiting in line.After more than 25 minutes wait I happened to be at desk and brought my utmost dissatisfaction of how the bad Walmart is treating their customer. and showed my receipt and mention their error. Nectarine product code was #4036, according to the smme code on the shelf tag it showed $4.34 per Kg. but cash registers the same code as$5.45 per Kg. Such a discrepancy??? The person at customer service instead of asking someone to go and check the correct price and make necessary corrections just gives me the money back and when I ask what about my time wasted here and what about my Nectarine suddenly an apparently supervisor appears to be there and say "we only can give the money back"?? I said I need my nectarines They said no scale here at customer service then someone goes to weigh the nectarine and comes back with the same wrong price and make me more frustrated !! I hope Walmart authorities make an inquiry about this incident and make proper proceedings either to retrain their employees into how to give service to the customers and how to treat customers (they looked as defensive instead of being helpful) and inform the management / supervisors of this branch how poor they are performing their jobs. read more

I went there to buy some stuff. I didn't know how much some chocolate bars were so I went up to an employee and asked them the price. The employee said that Walmart was supposed to throw all of these particular chocolate bars out (Kit-Kat bars) because they had been recalled. The employee then took the chocolate from me and waddled off with them. She then started eating them as well as a package of Oreo's she had pulled off from the shelf. Another customer asked for her help, but she ignored him and nearly crushed his son with her gigantic bottom! Do NOT ask for help at a Walmart! read more

While Wal-Mart will always be Wal-Mart and really nothing more, I wouldn't say that I come here because of the friendly or helpfulness of the staff. I shop here regularly since I've moved to North Vancouver and depending on the time, you may stand in very long waiting lines. Because I pick my wife up after work nearby we stop on the way home (5:30-6:30pm) and due to the time of day, you better be wearing comfortable shoes. This location was recently upgraded to include Bakery items and a Produce department. You can always find someone in Produce if you need help there but if you're looking for someone anywhere else in the store, good luck finding them. The store is too big to expect that I suppose, several occasions I needed someone to tell me the price of an item as the tag was missing and I needed to cross the whole store to locate an employee. Overall I can always find what I need, it's after I have everything and I'm prepared to leave that I hit the road blocks. read more

I saw in the Walmart flyer that the meat department had prime rib beef on sale for $4.77/lb. This is an excellent price so today I drove there to buy a roast. There were none to be found so I asked someone wearing a Walmart uniform if he knew when they would be getting moe. He didn't know so I went to customer service. After some insistence, the woman called the meat department. A man came but he had no idea so he went to get the manager. That's when the situation deteriorated. The meat manager was abrupt, rude and dusmissive. We simply wanted to know when the next delivery of these roasts would be so we could return at the appropriate time. I have never experienced such rudeness by a person in the retail industry. Perhaps this man doesn't know that his job isn't guaranteed......there are many people with manners that would love to take over his position! I am going to persue this complaint! Nobody deserves such uncalled rudeness. read more
