It has been almost over a decade since I have patronized a Walmart. This Walmart is located in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. I absolutely love Walmart primary for the low marked-down price and large selection and well stocked inventory. Like all Walmarts, there is a free parking lot available for customers. I sorrowfully wished I have driving skills enabling car ownership to make monthly treks to Walmart in my native metropolitan NY area. This parking lot features designated, covered barn-like stalls for horses and buggies as reasonable accommodation for the Amish. I highly prefer Walmart than Target for juxtaposition. I purchased reusable dinner forks and dinner spoons for lunch usage at my Sisyphean task. My party wanted who also needed a small kitchen knife and disposable small plates to peel peaches obtained from a farmer's market. Personally, I despise the skin of an apple which I always peel the skin before consumption. Upon entering we briefly walked to wander searching the kitchen tools/ accessories and found one sales associate for assistance. This male associate looked at my party with complete befuddled of utter silence at first without response and immediately used his tablet for English translation from his native language. Oh! I did not know that the store directory layout is located in a tablet which was my initial thought. However, the underlying truth for the salient reason of his wayward indifferent behavior is the L.E.P. Limited English Proficiency. Ultimately, my party of three were left to fend for ourselves roaming aisle to aisle searching to replenish any deficiencies of products in our home including to obtain a small kitchen knife and small paper plates. I did not see any face sunscreen stick as I am using the traditional annoying messy lotion which is sticky form during this excessive heat wave Independence Day 2026 holiday weekend. Traditional sunscreen surely leaves a residue on my clothing. I still seek one large raffia or rattan storage basket with cloth interior lining or one large raffia / rattan storage box with lid. There is a medium long queuing line at check-out. There are also three self-serve check out registers. There are no security guards checking sales receipt as proof of payment upon exiting like my native metropolitan NY area Walmart for juxtaposition. This Lancaster, PA Walmart provide very thin plastic bags of excessive poor quality who thankfully, does not practice the frivolous 2023 plastic bag ban passed by Lancaster County. read more

Over the years you could always count on Walmart and the safe delivery of your groceries and other items as the years have changed they ask for a tip for the driver and 90% of the time I tip because I live on the third floor but I found tipping these drivers not necessarily mean ALL or MOST of your groceries will be delivered or make it to the third floor Walmart is going down hill fast and way to expensive to be dealing with the headaches of returns that take 10 days to refund when it took 2 seconds to take my money We shop at Walmart because of the convenience..... I have been calling them for the last two hours and tried absolutely every department possible and no one has answered the phone. I left a bag there and I'm not able to get back to the store and also the fact that when you're there you can never find any help and when you do, they don't understand you. 100 percent the worst customer service ever! Never any cashiers working. Managers literally do not care what is going on around them, rude and dismissive. Store is always a wreck. Half the employees find a way to not interact at all with customers. Stand in line at the electronic area for 20 mins to never see an employee or be acknowledged. I try and avoid Walmart as much as possible but after finding zero windshield washer fluid at Target in the Belmont plaza I had to trek over to Walmart to get some. This location is smaller than most but does have all the essentials. The layout is cramped and aisles are hard to get through with a cart, esp with a crowd. I grabbed what I needed and left. Long line at self check outs, hardly any cashiers but that's usual now. The parking lot of the plaza is poorly laid out with random one ways and exit only signs. Watch out for traffic and people just as confused as where to go as you are. With other options in the area, I'd recommend stopping here as a last resort. read more

They don't have the top your phone for the card option like what store doesn't do that I'm literally waiting for my new card to come in the mail because somebody was fraudulently stealing money out of my account and I couldn't even use my digital card at the store and I'm in dire emergency you need of some things.. secondly nobody in there spoke English I could not even understand the cashier when he told me I could not use my tap to pay.. Honestly, I really don't think this Walmart is the place to go shopping. There's plenty of other options in the area and this one is small and the inside feels cramped. It feels a little like walking through a discount grocer. The shelves are usually pretty slim pickings when it comes to options. If you need to shop at a Walmart, then I'd just take the time to drive out to the bigger one in Ephrata. read more

My review is for this Walmart location (Fruitville Pike) only. If you need something from Walmart, go to the one in Ephrata or order online. The aisles in this Walmart are too narrow and unnecessarily cluttered everywhere. Incredibly difficult to navigate without a cart...with one, forget it. For a Walmart it is what it is. It's a smaller store than most other Walmart's. I asked several people for help at the sporting goods section to get my fishing license... had to wait a long while before anyone came to help me. Slow, ok service. Pretty standard Walmart, nothing special. I've run in here a few times for some items such as emergency mouse cat nip toys for the cat ;-) and laundry color remover, samsung phone charger .... Unlike Annette C. I have never had a problem with returning items here ... which were never anything big, just unused bath items or stationary ... (although her experience sounds horrendous ). I find that the prices here at Walmart are not significantly different than places like SAVEMART or Grocery stores .. Unlike places like SAVEMART ... I never spend a great amount of time browsing around here. I am in and out ... too much stuff, I get dizzy in these stores if lolly gag around too long. I'd recommend coming here only if you know for a fact that the particular item you are looking for is CHEAPER here than anywhere else and you are in the area... otherwise avoid ; p read more

This Walmart is a junior version, for starters. I recently had a terrible experience with their billpay service that I will summarize here soon... The only reason I gave a second star is because of the cashiers and customer service associates that work this store. Despite being poorly managed and lacking in size, the front end folks are mostly actually friendly as opposed to being vacant or angry. Thanks for being sweet guys... Its a walmart, and I dont know why the old stereotype holds true for these places, but it does. Kind of trashy people hang around for mysterious reasons. I run in and run out because its nearby, but certainly dont sit on the benches or lounge around there. Besides the quality of the people, this walmart is not a super mega giant walmart. They actually occupied an existing building instead of disturbing new land. Chalk one up for walmart. Its generally clean, but typically disorganized as per walmart regulations. Dont forget the helpless people at the register! Thats why I prefer the self check out lanes. Parking can be tough, especially on weekends even tho there is a good sized lot. read more

Customer service was horrible. I was there on Sunday and asked a worker to help me find a swing attachment that I showed her listed on Walmart.com. She pointed all the way in the back of the store and said maybe back there. I said back where and she said by the bikes somewhere over there. Really?!! I walked out after that as the assistance to help me find the product wasn't there so I took my business elsewhere. read more

For as convenient as this is in relation to my house I really can't stand going here. Whenever I need something they are out of it! Like today, I needed make up wipes. They didn't have the kind I like so I just wasted a trip. But I will give them props for the $1 bandannas. Every time I come to this Walmart they are so understaffed that lines to the one or two registers opened are terribly congested. When asking for help from customer service for assistance on a specific item they are always helpful but again so understaffed that it may take up to 5-10 minutes just to be helped. read more

It's smaller than the other Walmarts plus they aren't open 24-7 andthey don't have much of a food section. They are usually stocked with the items I need but sometimes they aren't and I have to end up going to a different location. They get very crowded and the lines get long with no where to really stand cause the lines start forming into the clothing section so it gets hard to move around and get into a line. Parking isn't too bad besides during the holidays then it's just a complete mess. They have a SubWay inside the store so it's a nice place to stop and eat if you get hungry. Some of the employees are friendly and some are rude I guess it depends on the day they are having. read more

Alright, I may have contracted something from this place. On a cold Monday morning I entered my favorite Walmart and I immediately went to the Blu Ray section to see if they had anything new. As I reached into the bin I felt as if something bit me, being the uncle to 5 nephews I would say I am EXTREMELY educated on what a human bite feels like. Luckily this was not from a human. As I raised my hand, there were three marks on my ring finger, one of which broke the skin. In an attempt to gain further knowledge of what could have bit me, I reached my other hand in to the bin. BAM! another bite, again on my ring finger. Same three marks, same mark broke skin. I blushed because this was the first time anything has been on my ring finger since my wife left. Again this is a Walmart in Central PA, so you go in with the assumption you might get bit by something or someone, so I grabbed the Blu Ray copy of Minions and continued on my way. 3 WEEKS later, I woke up and felt very lightheaded. I went to Lancaster General and they ran the whole gamut of tests on me and a couple weeks after the initial bite and days after my test I found out that I had a very bad ear infection. Did the creature in this bin give it to me? we really cannot say for certain, but I never once had an ear infection before the bite, and now I do, so you do the math. Luckily I have Minions on Blu Ray to watch as I recover. read more

Since my last review I've done online ordering two more times. I guess I'm just a sucker for a good price. Now with three experiences under my belt, and because I can't give them zero stars let me tell you they have earned that negative star rating and than some! At my second online order pick up no one was back there. Employees were walking past and into the warehouse without so much as a glance. The first person I asked said just to wait and someone would be there soon. No one ever came. Finally a gal off the clock went and got someone. I was back there a good 20 minutes by this time and a line had developed behind me. I didn't know I would get all the juicy baby daddy drama updates but that's all you hear in the line at Walmart. The person she got couldn't find my order first of all than couldn't "check me out". Why? Because all the letters and numbers on the keyboard had worn off and she was clueless as to where the keys were located. Hello folks, this is Walmart, a BILLION dollar company, you can't spurge for a new $15 keyboard or pluck one from the shelves? It's not rocket science. So after more wasted time I finally left with my product. My most recent online order consisted of 3 items. Two arrived last week but I was holding out on the third before I ventured over there because I knew no transaction there is without flaw. It was due to arrive by the 6th. On the 8th I tracked the package and saw it was delivered that day but was not ready for pick up. It took me 5 phone calls till I finally reached a manager who when I inquired as to what time it would be ready was informed after 2 pm. It had been at the store for 4 hours at that point. I never did receive my customary text that it was ready. The next day I checked online again and it still had the same status. This time it took me three calls before I reached someone back there who insisted his system showed it was on the truck for today. Aren't we all logging into the same system? Why would his say something different? When I told him it was delivered yesterday he first claimed that it was miss-scanned, than insisted he unloaded the truck himself and it was not there. By this time by items that were in were a day past the 7 day picked up so I had to go and get those. At the time of my arrival in the evening I was waited on by the same person I spoke with on the phone. He insisted that that days truck was now unloaded it and wasn't there either. In fact he said his system said it was now in transit. So why did the status change and why when I logged on did it still say it was there? Frustrated I left the store and called nationwide customer service. After much wasted time by "Laverne" in just trying to access my order she insisted it was delivered and it was between me and the store and that I would need to call and speak to a manager and have them locate it. When I asked her to call the store, she said that wouldn't do any good as they don't "listen to customer service anyway". I called the store and the only manager in was the assistant manager "Manny" who told me he couldn't bring up my order, that it did not exist, and there was nothing he could do. He tried to put the blame on customer service and told me it was their problem. He didn't so much as even look for it. I found his attitude unacceptable and he was the least helpful of anyone I dealt with at this point. Dude should not be working in customer service! I called customer service back but this time reached someone in India. Dreading the language barrier and frustrated with having to repeat the story once again I was pleasantly surprised when she not only was able to bring up the order but see who signed for it at the store. She immediately called and spoke to the same guy I met with there, as he was the signer. Turns out it was there but was miscoded so they didn't know what to do with it and it was sitting to the side, and had been since delivery! Thanks to Iza in India I was finally able to get resolution. This whole situation could have been avoided if someone would have just looked for it. In all I wasted countless hours and had to make two trips, not to mention the rise in my blood pressure. The cheap prices are just not worth the aggravation. I'm done. read more

CUSTOMER SERVICE STINKS!!! I went in tonight to return a $116 blow up bed and they would not take it back, The reason was because it was defected and i winded up buying a new and better one at Target so i wanted my money back. I then spoke to the store manager at the time "BOB" and he refused under any circumstances to return my purchase even though I had a valid receipt their reason behind that was because it is "unsanitary" to return any kind of bed materials EVEN THOUGH IT WAS DEFECTED!!! After a pointless 30 minutes of arguing with the manager that it says on the return policy board above that they HAVE TO return it he eventually told me "I am not changing my mind, my decision is final" and walked away while i was in the middle of still talking to him like a child!! I finally called 1800walmart and complained about the inappropriate behavior that was going on through the management and customer service department and how they wouldn't refund me for my purchase , They then called the store and talked to the manager and he then had no choice but to give me a refund!!!! The manager never came to apologize or anything he just gave permission threw the walkie talkie ... like a child.... and i got my money back FINALLY AFTER A HOUR of fighting and arguing....pure RIDICULOUSNESS! Really hope something gets done about their customer service there, because i will never shop there AGAIN. From now on i will attend the one on Lincoln hwy, Never one bad thing i experienced from that one besides friendly smiles and cheerful help... THE WAY A BUSINESS SHOULD RUN! read more

We ordered a dining table, entertainment center, and utensils from Walmart and had it shipped from site-to-store recently. We picked up the entertainment center and utensils on 11/2/15 with no issues. We tried to pick up the dining table on 11/2/15 while we were there because the website said it had been delivered to the store. The associate said the table was unavailable and was still being processed and would be ready for pick up later that day. We went back the next day to pick up the table and was told it was still unavailable for pick up. The associate searched twice for our item that according to Fed-Ex was delivered the previous day and could not find it. The Fed-Ex website confirmed that the entertainment center and the missing dining table were signed for by the same person on the same day, at the same time, so it was definitely received by Walmart. However they could not find the item. How they managed to lose a 36x36 120 table is beyond me. They "apologized" and refunded our order. We will not be using site to store again any time in the future because there is apparently an employee who is so incompetent that a 120 lb package went missing within 24 hours of being delivered to their store. read more

i don't go to walmart often but i needed cheap shoes for my kid for a special occassion. came here and was absolutely appalled. store was verrrry dirty. also, during my brief time there i saw what appeared to be someone on heroin stumbling through the store eyes barely open and kids running around with their parents no where in sight. selection was terrible. they literally had three size 3 t outfits and one pair of shoes in my child's size. if this is the "better" walmart in lancaster according to russell f., i'd really hate to see the worse one! what the heck! I would like to commend the three gentlemen who helped me this evening (Aug 10, 830pm) with my large order for pickup. They treated me with respect and professionalism and were kind enough to help me bring the frames to my car. They are by far the kindest employees I have ever encountered at your location. I purchased a tv at walmart.com and had it shipped to the store at 2030 Fruitville Pike, Lancaster, PA 17601. It took about a week. I picked it up the evening of 1/12/17, took it home, set it up, turned it on, and saw that the screen was cracked. I logged on to walmart.com that evening and filled out the paperwork to return it to the store. I also called walmart.com to find out if there was any way that I could exchange it so that I didn't have to wait another week for a replacement tv to be shipped. They said that I could not. I had to return the tv to the store and buy another one. I went to the store the following day 1/13/17 to return the tv as I was instructed. I waited in line behind about 30 people (I was told it was check cashing day) for about 15 minutes until someone opened another line for returns. When it was my turn, the woman opened the box and told me, in a very accusatory tone, that the serial numbers didn't match. She said I needed to return it through walmart.com. I said that I was told by walmart.com to return it there (where I had picked it up) and I showed her the authorization paperwork walmart.com told me to take. She said it was against store policy to allow me to return it there. I explained that I was just doing what I was told by walmart.com and asked to speak to the manager. I waited nearly 1/2 hour for the manager to show up. When he arrived, I explained that I was told to bring the tv to them and I had the paperwork authorizing me to do so. He again said it was against store policy. I said that since I was getting conflicting stories about store policy vs corporate policy, I would like him to call walmart.com so we could all get on the same page and figure out what I should do. He said that he did not have a phone and that I would have to go home and call them. I could not believe that he actually said that he didn't have a phone so I replied, "This is walmart, you have hundrerds of phones!" His reply was "not for public use" I said, "I am not public, I am a customer, trying to return an item exactly how I was told to return it by THIS company!" I was speaking loudly at this point and I can only assume that he didn't want the rest of the customers to hear so he asked me to leave. I said "I will gladly leave right after we got the issue figured out". I decided to call walmart.com from my cell phone since I was told walmart didn't have phones. While I was on hold, the police showed up and asked me to leave the store. I do not live close to this walmart and running back and forth with a big screen tv was not how I wanted to spend my day. Especially since it could have, and should have, been figured out on the spot. I was treated like a criminal for trying to follow their corporate instructions and actually escorted out of a walmart by police because of this managers unwillingness to help. I did not make any threats, I did not use profanity, and I did not even speak loudly until he said that they didn't have any phones. Not only was this an incredible embarrassment, I still don't have a tv. Worst Walmart I have ever been to *ever! No one answers the phone -in any department- not even when you press 0! when somebody does answer, they don't speak English hardly at all *and get irritated at you easily -and then transfers your call somewhere (?) where no one will pick up the phone... If you show up to have anything done at the automotive section oh, they are always understaffed and can never get to your vehicle *so they immediately reject your request (a lot of the time have shut down that department for the day)... I have been months trying to get my vehicle in there, because I have lifetime balance and rotation (because I bought my tires there/ of course I had to take them to a different Walmart to get them installed), and I usually get an oil change while I do it (at other Walmarts obviously). The majority of the staff *evidently* are from other countries, and truly prove to be absolutely CARELESS!!! Don't expect to get any help from any of the associates at this Walmart... I've never seen more people look so confused (the staff, when you ask them about anything at all)... I have been paying far-overpriced mechanics to do my auto services - because I can at least get the job done somewhere other than at any of the Walmarts in this area. read more
