The inspector claimed my wipers were "torn" and refused to pass the inspection unless I bought new ones from them. Because it was the only day I could make it in, I reluctantly agreed, even though I knew my wipers were fine. If they were actually torn, I would have noticed right away, as I can't stand the silicone flapping, and I could have replaced them myself easily. Instead, I ended up paying over $100 including the state inspection fee ($21) and wasting more than 3 hours for something that didn't even need fixing. Total rip-off. As a woman coming in alone, it really felt like they took advantage of me being an easy target.

There is a 12 month, 12k warranty per their website. The manager in the store, John, was made aware on 3/3/26 (under 5 months later) of the warranty issue when my vehicle was disabled while my kids were in it due to the AXLE BREAKING. He at that time said that it would be warrantied and I had to send him a copy of the receipt. I did on 3/5/26. It was read however I have yet to receive a response. I have called multiple times and have been told he's not available or he'll call back. He never does. I have sent multiple emails. He doesn't respond. I am seeking a refund of my $1200 job that John said he would have handled. Is John at Monro in East Greenbush a man of his word? It seems not.

Within an hour of dropping my car off Dave called and asked if I have seen all the pretty lights on my dashboard. Driving the car for 4 years, of course I have seen the battery light on. (I have had it to a Honda Dealership, and was told that the car is fine to drive. It will most likely always be on as it is an older car.) Dave said that the car needs and alternator for $648 and a new battery for $269. Dave told me that they can not even inspect the car because it won't stay running long enough. At which time I told him I would just come pick up the car and to do nothing further. He stated "the car is going to die on you and will leave you stranded. A tow bill will be a lot more than the price I gave you to fix it." Absolutely disgusting that this gentleman uses scare tactics to earn his commission or get business in the shop. I saw this place while driving down Columbia Blvd and thought I'd give them a try. I was tired of…read moreMavis always trying to sell you something you don't want (or need) and dealing with the grumpy, horrible manager now at Wal-Mart tire dept. I found the snow tires I wanted online, went to Grand Premier's website and requested a quote. That took a few days but that was during Thanksgiving holidays so I have to cut them some slack on that. I ordered the tires on Monday. Tues afternoon I got the call that they were in. I went there right after work. I paid for them up front - yes paid for them BEFORE they were installed (which to me meant that they weren't going to try and sell me on any additional services) and told to pull up right behind the red car over there. Soon I was told to pull into a garage bay. There are people all over the place. They have workers, supervisors, managers all making sure that the job gets done right. And those in charge aren't just standing around waiting for something to happen. They're watching everything and making sure that everything happens right. These guys know tires. So, you sit in your car and it's almost like a NASCAR pitstop, but slower paced. They work while you're in the car. Two man crews. One on each side. I had to move a tire from the back to the front and put two new snows on the back. The two guys working on my car were well-coordinated making sure they had the car jacked up so they can do what needed to be done. One supervisor made sure that the wheels were installed with the wheels facing in the right direction - apparently it does matter - and it makes sense especially if they're snow tires designed to grip the road. Then as they finished up, one guy put the bolts on with the air wrench while the other followed behind with the torque wrench. It was like watching a well-rehearsed, greasy ballet from backstage. They were done in no time at all and I was on my way home. From the park and ride to home it was an hour and a half - with a tire change in between. This place is amazing. I'll be back to get snows on my front tires in a few weeks. My wife will be going there for tires on her vehicle as well. All in all, I'm a very happy customer!! NOTE: This is a dupe of another review I posted earlier on a different newly created account because computers like auto-filling in everything for you these days. So, if admins can delete the other and keep this one, that would be great!
