Everyone at Kunes in Macomb, IL are friendly, knowledgeable and so great to work with! I can't imagine buying anywhere else!

I had the worst experience of my life with this dealership. I called early in the morning on a…read moretruck that they had. They still have it posted online for $46,865.00. Talked to a car salesman named Dustin who was extremely nice and his helper Isaac was very kind. I said I had a vehicle to trade in and would like to know what they would take as a trade in. Gave them my vin and mileage and they said they would call me back. They called me back and told me they would take the lowest amount possible for this 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee I had. It was 5 months old and purchased directly from the factory. Which was appalling but I continued to ask what the amount would be for the truck minus my Jeep (they were offering me $36,000 when I paid $55,000 for this Jeep) and they would not give me an answer. They then had the General Manager call me when they said the finance guy would call me and tell me that the amount online was wrong and the vehicle is actually for sale for $55,000 which is more than a $8,000 difference and the man named Royce who claimed to be the GM said that they didn't have to sell it to me, they didn't want to sell it to me and they didn't have to even talk to me. They hung up on me. I called back and said I am at my dealership where they are buying my Jeep back and I will have a business check for $42,500 and would like to come and purchase the truck and pay the rest in cash. Royce said under the circumstances he didn't feel like selling this vehicle to me. I said that I lived about 2 hours away, however I am very familiar with Macomb because I attended Western and could try to be there sooner as yesterday was my only day off and I had to get back to my son. They again told me they were not comfortable selling me this truck. He did discriminate against me because I am a strong independent female which I hear can be very intimidating to small minded people. He objectified me. He did not explain a good enough answer to why he wouldn't sell it to me even though I had cash and check ready. He did say he would rather I finance because that is how they get their money which is a scam and there was an open service ticket for $2,600 and they have to pay their employee for the work. Which we all know is not our problem, that is their problem for false advertising. This man then said he was going to take the truck offline and wasn't ever going to sell it and then proceeded to hang up on me again. I contacted a man higher up than him named Jeff who said that Royce did not have the right to do that and Jeff said he would sell the vehicle to me. At this point it is now 2:00 in the afternoon, they wasted my entire day knowing I was trying to get down there early enough to get the vehicle, give them the money, sign the paperwork and head home. I explained to them I worked in the industry and I own my own business and I know how a customer should be treated. I also know that once a price is posted you cannot raise the price from $46,865 to $55,000 just because and just because I am a young female with cash who has worked very hard for what she wants. Royce should be fired for how he treated me and my elder mother as well who was with me. He should be fined for false advertisement as well. Today my brother called the dealership after seeing that the truck was still posted online for $46,865 and asked about the truck. They said yes it was still on the lot and asked when he could come take a look. They sent him the same videoes they sent me and said the vehicle had a clean title and was ready to be sold. They were going to sell to my brother for $46,865. If that doesn't just yell sexism and a scam! How extremely rude. This place is known for luring their customers in and then raising the prices on them. False advertising and scam central. By the time I was done speaking with them I was in tears. I was hysterically crying. I had never been through that much hell and harassment. I felt completely defeated. 100% do not recommend Kunes Auto Group in Macomb, Il. to anyone and Dustin and Isaac should get raises for having to deal with Royce. They were extremely apologetic however at this point that will not fix a thing.

I wanted to take some time to share the outstanding experience that my family had at Woodrum…read moreToyota. We had been looking for a specific make/model vehicle for our new driver, and they had one. We worked with Ben in sales who answered all of our questions, followed up when requested and made it his goal understand our wants/needs and meet them. Ben advocated for the deal we wanted to make and we were able to do it without haggling, which was refreshing and appreciated. Big thanks and kudos to Ben, our salesman and Jared, the sales manager for a terrific, hassle free experience. We drove away with the vehicle we wanted at the price we wanted. This was the easiest and frankly, most enjoyable car buying encounter I've ever had. I 100% recommend Ben, Jared and Woodrum to anyone looking to buy! A+ experience! Thank you!

I signed a contract on the 24th of September for a brand new car with Michael, the sales manager…read more Essentially, he messed up the paperwork. Two weeks after the purchase, he had someone call me and tell me that my payment was going up because they screwed up. Obviously, I said 'absolutely not, you better figure it out or take the car back but I'm not paying more than the agreed upon amount.' They finally got it fixed and I signed a contract with slightly new terms. Then they screwed up again, so I had to sign another contact the same exact day just for clerical issues. Move forward again two weeks, so a nearly a month after the 'purchase', I get called again, this time by the finance manager, Vince. I'm told, 'hey I don't know what's been happening here but I'm just trying to get this all squared away, so we need you to sign a new contract.' In case you missed it, that would be the fourth contact I would need to sign with these lunatics. They seem to act as if this is normal, like I shouldn't be outraged about this, that it's normal to call up clients and tell them they screwed up and your payment is going up. At this point, I've had it. I don't even own the car a month later. I drove the car more than. 2,500 miles so far as my partner and went on a road trip. The paint on the hood has chips from the same trip (so much for the coating I paid extra for to protect the paint). So I tell them, I'm done with one sided changes. Either we renegotiate a new contract beneficial to me or I'm not signing up to their new terms and conditions. Then it goes quiet. Finally, they have the sales person text me trying to talk me out of it. He brings up his kids and wife trying to guilt me into this nonsense. I'm still a no. I'm done signing new contracts that do not benefit me. I'm tired of the lackadaisical attitude they have given me. Particularly, Michael the sales manager and the person who made the initial mistake, has been nothing short of a a****le to me every time I've spoke to him. Absolutely terrible customer service. Now, they refuse to renegotiate the car. So I said, okay refund my down payment and come get it. I'm done. I'll take my business elsewhere because you do not deserve it. This was Monday. Michael then calls me that Monday evening and tells me they'll come Tuesday and bring me a check for the down payment. Tuesday I texted to confirm and I hear nothing. I call, I hear nothing. I call again, I hear nothing. Finally I ask the receptionist if I can talk to anyone that's not a voicemail. After being on hold, Vince tells me that they won't be coming today, Michael is off today and 'I don't want to bother him on his day off' so he won't be able to confirm anything until tomorrow. God forbid Michael be inconvenienced at all. Clearly inconvenience is a prime customer service feature saved for customers only. So now I have a car that I cannot drive bc it does not belong to me, they have $1,500 that belongs to me that I need in order to buy another vehicle but no one has any idea when they are coming to take the car and give me back my money. Y'all, take your business elsewhere. Woodrum Toyota cannot be the only place that is a Woodrum dealer that is this backwards and insane. Don't do it to yourself. You'll be stuck in a situation where they try to screw you over. Anyone at Woodrum reading this, you suck big balls.
