Amazing service! My…read moreson was driving to So. Cal to spend a week with his brother before the brother got married. Just a carefree week of bachelor brothers hanging out. He was supposed to drive there on Saturday and get to So. Cal before dark. However, he left after dark. He passed Los Banos (Route 33 exit) close to midnight and his engine started running really rough and it was losing power. He limped to the next exit, at less than 25 mph, turn around, and come back to Los Banos. We picked him up around 1:30 and got back home at 3AM. At 8AM (Easter morning), we started calling mechanics in Los Banos. Of course, we used Yelp and sorted by ratings. We went down the list and left messages for everyone. We just prayed that someone would be willing to work on a holiday. Jesse was the only one who answered the phone. We explained our predicament. He agreed to help if we could get there by 10. He had a family picnic planned. My son's car was parked about 2 miles from Jesse's shop. We were able to get it running and over to the shop before 10AM. Jesse found the problem, was able to obtain the necessary parts, and had the car fixed in about 3 hours. He charged a very reasonable amount. My son made it to So. Cal before dark (a day late), and Jesse still got to spend the rest of the day with his family. If anyone I know ever needs a good mechanic in the Los Banos area, I would highly recommend Jesse and Advanced Service & Repair. Thank you, Jesse. God bless you.

I do not write reviews lightly, especially about companies I have supported for years. I have been…read morea loyal Valvoline customer for over five years and have consistently skipped other oil change providers because of the great service I have received at multiple locations. Unfortunately, the Los Banos location on Pacheco Boulevard has now given me two disappointing experiences in a row. On Sunday, I drove from Merced to Los Banos for a routine oil change. All bays had vehicles either being serviced or waiting, so I pulled into line at the third bay and waited my turn like everyone else. As the line moved forward, I was asked to move my vehicle so that someone from another bay could take my position because that bay might finish sooner. I respectfully declined. I was already properly positioned and waiting, and it did not make sense to single me out. If certain bays are known to move faster, that should be directed at the entrance so customers are placed correctly from the beginning. Shortly after, the manager, Frankie, approached me and told me I had to move or they would refuse to service my vehicle. That is when the situation became upsetting. I was the only customer asked to move. No one else was threatened with refusal of service. The tone was dismissive and confrontational, and I left feeling singled out and completely unheard. What made this more disappointing is that this is the second negative interaction I have had at this location. The first time, I let it go because I have had so many positive experiences with Valvoline elsewhere. Two times in a row is no longer a coincidence. On a positive note, I want to recognize Joey and the technician working under the hood. They were respectful, professional, and delivered the kind of service Valvoline is known for. Their professionalism stood out, especially given how uncomfortable the interaction with management made me feel. This review is not written out of anger. It is written because loyalty deserves fairness and respect. I genuinely want this location to improve because Valvoline as a brand has earned my business over the years. I simply hope no one else feels singled out or dismissed the way I did. I am hopeful corporate leadership will address this and restore the standard of service that has kept me a customer for so long.

During a recent trip from SoCal to San Francisco on the I-5, the tire pressure system from our…read morerental alerted us of low pressure. We pulled into the closest gas station to fill the tire with air thinking it was a simple fix. However, when we left the gas station and resumed our trip, the tire pressure monitoring system threw another light and we saw the tire pressure on the dash go from 32 PSI to 26 PSI in a matter seconds. I had my wife look up the closest tire shop, and we found Bruce's Tire. I called them while we were driving there to see if we needed to make an appt. and the guy that picked up the phone told us to just drop by. I forgot the name of the guy that helped me but he was really easy to work with. I told him I called earlier regarding a flat and he immediately had a mechanic take off the tire for inspection. Turns out there was a nail in the sidewall and couldn't be patched. I was under the impression that I was going to pay for the tire replacement. But it turns out, because it was a rental from Enterprise, he was able to get it covered 100%. We were in and out of there no more than 30 minutes. These guys are terrific and I recommend them 100%.

Seems the AC unit froze up breaking the belt... which then cascaded and got tangled up with other belts in the pulley system. Lost my AC, water pump, and alternator. I had called a couple of shops and no one thought they could have the car completed the same day. Doc's towing recommended Edwin's and called ahead to confirm if Edwin could replace the belts before closing. Edwin said he could and ordered up the belts prior to my arrival. I am so thankful that Edwin stayed 1/2 hour past closing wrapping up my vehicle. He got me back on the road saving me a rent-a-car for the weekend as I needed to get up to Sonoma Raceway. Breaking down out of town frequently instills fear of being "taken" due to the urgency of the situation. Edwin's was very very fair in price. If I lived in the area I would make Edwin's my go-to mechanic.

Guido Marquez from Tires to You was truly a blessing to us tonight!…read more We had a flat tire on our Tesla Model X while traveling northbound on I-5 and had to pull over at the John C. Erreca Rest Area late at night. We first called AAA, but the only option they could offer was to tow our car to a closed tire shop, where we would have to wait until morning to have the tire replaced. Here's something I especially want other stranded travelers to know: we almost didn't call Tires to You. While I was speaking with the AAA dispatcher, I was told that Tires to You showed as temporarily closed. My husband had already started calling them, and I actually told him to hang up because we thought they were closed. Thankfully, before he did, Guido answered the phone. And I am so glad he did. Guido told us that he tries to be that person who will answer the call, regardless of the hour. When you're stranded on the side of I-5 in the middle of the night, knowing there is someone you can actually call is an incredible relief. Guido came out to us and immediately gave us confidence that he knew how to work with Teslas. He knew to use the proper jack pucks when lifting our Model X so the vehicle and battery would not be damaged. When he determined that our tire could not be repaired, he didn't just tell us we would have to wait until morning. He went back to his shop, got a new tire for us, returned to the rest area, and installed it so we could safely continue our trip home. Throughout the entire ordeal, Guido was pleasant, professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful. Before sending us on our way, he even took the extra time to check all four tires and make sure they had the proper tire pressure. After being stranded at a rest stop late at night, that kind of service meant more to us than I can say. Guido didn't simply replace our tire--he gave us peace of mind and got us safely back on the road. So if you find yourself stranded and see that Tires to You is "temporarily closed," call anyway. We almost didn't, and I am incredibly grateful that we did. Thank you, Guido, for answering the phone, coming to our rescue, taking such good care of our Tesla, and making sure we were safe before sending us on our way. You were truly a blessing to us tonight. I would absolutely recommend Tires to You, especially to fellow Tesla owners!
