When I talked to the assistant manager about it, he lied to me twice in 2 sentences. Even when I caught him in his lies, he lied more to cover it up. I had a great reliable mechanic in Chicago, and after four visits here, I think I've found another good one. Liebold is located conveniently near downtown Galena. In those four visits, I've only spent about $50, which is a major coup with any mechanic. Two of of those were actual service, and two were my hearing noises, bringing the car in for diagnostics where they found nothing. Kudos to them for putting up with my "mechanichondriac" tendencies and of course with mouthing the noises for them when I bring the car in. Living in a small town, you know, word of one's eccentricities tends to get around fast, and I could get a "reputation." On all four visits, I was able to hang out and wait at their shop and peruse the nice variety of outdated magazines, watch and laugh at animal videos on my smart phone, so it was the auto service equivalent of fast food. The fact that on two occasions they didn't charge me a cent (to find nothing was wrong) is a good way to guarantee I will be back to annoy them in the future. Thanks, guys. You're better than Paxil.

We couldn't find a spare in it so decided to walk over to Auto Zone to look at Fix-a-flat type stuff. Two women in their 40's who have never used the stuff before walked into this location. In my experience men in auto repair type of places either talk down to me or try to sell me what I don't need to take advantage of my lack of knowledge in this area. HOWEVER, there was a VERY nice and helpful man here - I wish I had gotten his name. He was a little older, walked with a limp. He was very helpful and talked to us like adults. He took time to talk to us about the product, instruct us that we want to drive it immediately and get to the nearest place with air, recommended a place nearby that could help and when we left I noticed he was looking out the window to see what we were doing. This kind of customer service seems rare in any industry today, but especially anything to do with automotive issues and talking to 2 women. I really appreciate his encouraging help and professionalism! This makes me feel I can trust the store and makes me want to return.
