A poor shade tree mechanic. Takes shortcuts supposedly to save you money, but you end of taking it back to get it fixed properly costing you more money. Has childish tantrums when questioned. Not recommended. read more

I drive from out of town to have my car serviced at Folkedahl's after discovering his excellent service and prices after experiencing engine trouble on a road trip. His work is solid, fairly priced (actually, much cheaper than the "big city" I live in), and he doesn't recommend work that doesn't need doing, unlike my experience with the big name car dealers. I had my vehicle in a month ago and asked him to troubleshoot a wobble in a wheel after the "big city" tire place said it was fine and slammed a bunch of wheel weights on it. Mark called right away, saying if I could I should get over to the shop. I was without a vehicle so he offered to pick me up a mile from the shop. He showed me where the tire had worn through to the casing on the inboard side, and recommended immediate replacement. He saved me a potential highway blowout of the failing tire, and I was able to purchase four new tires that afternoon at the tire place across from Folkedahl's. It's this kind of service that keeps us coming back year after year. read more

Not very time efficient. Told me he would have my vehicle done in one day and held it for days longer on seperate occasions. Both times the job should have taken no more than two hours. Very innconvienent not having a vehicle when promised. read more
