I apologize, but this may be a little lengthy, but here goes:…read more July 7, 2020 Mileage: 106,548 Purchased set of new tires from Performance Tire & Wheel, Inc., Brewton, AL. Also had tires balanced, new rear brake pads installed and oil changed. Was told that whoever had performed the previous tire rotation had used the wrong size socket and damaged the lug nuts, that they had a hard time getting them off and back on, and that I would need to purchase new lug nuts before the next rotation. They showed me the damaged nuts and showed me how the metal cover on them had been damaged, telling me that the new lug nuts needed to be solid chrome. I told them that I would check prices online and get back with them. I went online and purchased solid chrome lug nuts. September 4, 2020 Mileage: 110,562 Free lifetime tire rotation for purchasing the tires from them. Provided them the new lug nuts. Tires balanced. Oil changed. January 13, 2021 Mileage: 117,913 Oil changed. Tires rotated, again free of charge. April 6, 2021 Mileage: 123,081 Oil changed. Took a little longer, said they had to replace the oil plug, that it was damaged. This was the first time that the damaged plug was mentioned. Had not been informed of any damage to oil plug in any of the first three oil changes. Had not had oil changed by anyone other than them since before July 7, 2020, the first time they performed the service. Tires rotated free of charge. Next service by Performance Tire: Made appointment for oil change and tire rotation. I don't have a receipt from this service; so I don't know the date, nor mileage, but it was for 1:30 pm somewhere between April 6, 2021 and January 26, 2022. Arrived by 1:30 that afternoon. They immediately started working on truck. Sat there for over two hours, not being told anything. After 3:30 I asked what was taking so long. They told me they were waiting on a new oil plug, that the current plug was damaged. I told them that no one had done any work on my truck other than them from the first time. I told them that I had been waiting there for two hours and had not been told a thing. Things got heated. I told Terry, the owner, that I would not be getting my oil changed there again. A few minutes later, I was informed that they were finished. I was told there would be no charge. January, 2022 I needed my tires rotated and an oil change. Contacted Performance. They told me that they were out of the type oil I needed for my truck. I called back the following week. Again, they told me that they were still out of the type of oil I needed for my truck, that they had no idea when the truck would arrive with the oil. January, 26, 2022 Mileage: 138,584 Took truck to Valvoline Instant Oil Change. Did not have tires rotated, planning to get them rotated for free during my next oil change at Performance Tire, where I purchased them. Today, May 9, 2022, 10:04 a.m. Mileage: 141,981 Called Performance Tire & Wheel to get oil changed and tires rotated. I asked if they had the right type of oil, that they didn't have it the last time. The response was "No," and that Brenda recommended not using another type of oil with the number of miles I had on my truck. I sorta felt like it would be fine to go ahead and put a full synthetic oil in lieu of the synthetic blend that they had used previously. So, we set the appointment for 10:00 a.m. tomorrow. Today, 10:28 a.m. Received call from Performance Tire & Wheel. The girl (employee making the call) told me that Terry wanted to know if I had had my oil pan and plug replaced since the last time they serviced my truck, that they would not be changing it again until I had the pan replaced. I told her that I didn't know that anything was wrong with my oil pan, that they had to replace the oil plug in the past, but had never told me anything was wrong with the oil pan. I told her that replacing the oil pan was on them. She told me to hold. A few minutes later, she came back on and told me that Terry wanted to talk to me. She transferred me to Terry. He picked up, said, "This is Terry." He didn't say anything else, like, "can I help you?" So, I told him that I was concerned that I am just now hearing that something was wrong with my oil pan. That they were the ones who had caused whatever damage was done to it. He stopped me and asked, "Who told you that your oil pan was damaged?" I responded that that's what the girl had said. He then asked me to hold. A couple of minutes later, he came back and told me that someone else had to have done the damage. I told him that no one else had done any work on my truck since the first time they had worked on it, several oil changes back. Terry denied and responsibility and told me that they would not be performing anymore work on my truck. Now... you read between the lines. He's right about one thing: I won't be going back there. And I hope that anyone reading this review will seriously consider not.
