We were…read moreoriginally gonna go to Speedway since I had point for discounted fuel but opted to go here to still make decent time. We also needed to use the restroom as well, restrooms weren't in the best shape or properly maintained. Snacks were interesting beings they were in another language. They also had some fried chicken, we didn't get because we'll we can get fried chicken just about anywhere. All we got was Cokes and made our way back to the road. Staff was just ok, not terrible not great, just ok.

The entire store is run by a family who are always there and keep the place much nicer than any other gas station i've ever seen, and they treat the customers with respect, having been in this business for many years. I love going here, and I can't help but start a conversation with the managers every time I step into the place, and they don't seem to care at all. The district and regional managers don't care about this store and neither does the corporate office and it shows. This past year this store has closed multiple times due to staffing. I have seen managers work 16 hour shifts to cover a call off or due to not having enough staff. A good district or regional manager would step up and help cover to keep the doors open for their valued customers. The MAPCO app needs help as well due to it not working and their customers not being able to redeem their points on gas or other items. Maybe if they paid better their employees would show up for work or they would have people wanting to work their. Every other gas station is open in the area and has no problem keeping their doors open. There also have been multiple times I have stopped by at 6 am and they haven't even had fresh coffee made for the morning rush. Most of the people that stop by in the morning are headed to the factories out in the river. Looks like I'll be stopping at the new Raceway where their doors are always open and everything is always stocked.

Conveniently right across the street from the Princess Theater, there's a little bit of everything here -- snacks, drinks, paper goods, light home improvement supplies, and so on. There's a counter in the back where you can find a menu. They serve breakfast and lunch and I assume you could have an early dinner, too, since they close at 6. Breakfasts include biscuit sandwiches; lunches have items like club sandwiches and Philly steaks. I ordered a Philly cheese steak wrap with a side of fries. The gentleman, I believe the owner, who took my order and prepared my food was very polite, soft-spoken, and had such a pleasant and gentle demeanor. I felt very comfortable browsing while I waited for my food to be freshly made. It took maybe 12 minutes to be cooked. It came out in a nice styrofoam container, and he made sure I got some ketchup to go with my fries. There's a small bistro table or two where you can eat inside, but I took a little walk and ate in my car since I wanted to get on the road home after I finished. My food was still super hot and fresh. It was a good size but not an overwhelmingly large serving. The tortilla was nicely griddled and the copious amounts of cheese had turned delightfully gooey. I do wish there'd been a little more steak (it was heavy on cheese and veggies and a little light on meat), but the flavors were good overall and I enjoyed my hot meal. The fries were crispy and seasoned well. I'd love to come back and try breakfast sometime! Give them a chance if you're in the area and need something quick supplies or a fresh bite to eat.
