He treats every animal--and every owner--as if they were part of his own family. When we had to make the heartbreaking decision to put my cat to sleep, he shed a tear right alongside us. That kind of empathy can't be taught; it's who he is. What really sets Stoneside apart is that Dr. Gaffrey has never turned away any animal I've brought through his doors. And I mean any animal. Dogs, cats, pigs, a tortoise, an opossum, squirrels, even a rooster--he welcomes them all with the same level of care and respect. It's rare to find a vet who not only has the skill to treat such a wide range of species but also the heart to do it without hesitation. The entire clinic has a warm, family‑first atmosphere. You feel seen, heard, and supported from the moment you walk in. In a world where veterinary care can sometimes feel rushed or impersonal, Stoneside is the complete opposite. They take their time, they explain everything, and they truly care. If you're looking for a veterinarian who is knowledgeable, compassionate, and deeply committed to the well‑being of every creature that crosses his path, Stoneside Veterinary Hospital is the place. Dr. Gaffrey is a rare gem, and Waller is incredibly lucky to have him.

Decided to try since new owners and to see if I felt the same. Last year I had to put down one of my dogs due to an illness that was not treatable. The new staff and Vet were so nice and loving and worked with me in costs that in a time like that means a lot. This week my other dog had some allergies so I called the office and asked if I could stop by for a shot as soon as they open. The staff that helped stared no problem come in at 8am and we will have you in and out right away. I arrived at 7:50 and after letting my dog go potty went inside approx 7:55. Welcomed and greeted by the staff by my dogs name which I thought was a nice touch and my dog got her shot ASAP and I was out the door by 8:15-8:20 Very convenient, fast and great service with care... price was fair I recommend this vet to anyone in the Hockley/Waller area..even if in cypress not to far of drive

He was playing and eating just fine so I thought I'd give it a few days, but as time progressed, it started to get infected. This morning he was limping so I picked him up and he cried so I knew something was wrong. I wasn't aware the urgency until I contacted the kind and patient ladies behind the desk at this clinic, who informed me that cat fights, especially with kittens are not something you can wait on if they get hurt. I was fortunate enough to get him seen 30 minutes later and thanks to the wonderful staff and veterinarians my sweet boy already feels better! I can't thank y'all enough for the effort and care y'all put into help not only him but also educating me!

I have been coming here for years, with so many different dogs. Sometimes it's good news, sometimes it's not. But the doctors and staff are perfect professionals. There is no judgment! They give you your options and trust you to make good decisions. There are zero Karens in this place. I cannot recommend them highly enough. I'll put it this way: this is the BEST business in Waller, Texas. Not just the best veterinarian. Better than Ace Hardware. Better than Cielito. Better than Daikin. Better than Tractor Supply. These vets are THE BEST.

After having been a patient in good standing with her clinic for a few years, she displayed an utter lack of professionalism and lied to me about test results (yes, I said lied). She expressed through text that she assumed that I was no longer interested in giving my pet their meds. In which case, I responded that there was clearly a miscommunication, because why else would I request $300 in bloodwork to verify that their meds were still needed. If I weren't interested in giving the meds I certainly wouldn't have paid for the tests. Do yourself and your beloved pets a favor and do not take them here. Dr. Haug is clearly not in the business to help animals.

If I could rate this place lower I would. The couple of years of going for treatment to this place…read morewe have been met with outrageous prices, horrendously long waiting time in there office, and rudeness from the majority of their staff. Never mind that though, we were bringing our australian shepherd there for treatment of her supposed hip dysplasia and arthritis that they had diagnosed (without our knowledge) and very labored and painful breathing. At first they tried to write us off as it being contributed as her being over weight or anxiety. After an unsavory appointment and follow up they told us that she has "allergic bronchitis" diagnosed via x-ray and had been given steroids (almost a year after we brought up her breathing problems). Once she was on steroids they told us nothing about allergic bronchitis or how to treat it beside the steroids and had sold us a $150 collagen treat for her hips and knees. She was losing her bladder and once we started to lower her dose on her steroids (as instructed) she had started to go back to the same state from before she was put on them. This is when we decided to switch because we felt they were giving us inadequate care. After going to Bear Branch Animal Hospital (one million percent better than CCFAH), they had concern that this might be more than just "allergic bronchitis". After more x-rays of both her abdomen, and hips/knees they came back to us saying that her hips and knees look beautiful (no arthritis or dysplasia), and that she has geriatric bronchitis (not curable but can be treated by a bronchial dilator). Also in their findings they found a 8cm by 6cm mass on lymph node in her lumbar space. With a mass this big I don't know how in the world that a month pryor to when CCFAH did their x-rays that they didn't find it. Given the space that the mass is in and its size they believe that it might be malignant. If we continued to go to CCFAH, we could have very well been unknowingly letting her suffer due to the incompetence and complete carelessness of a doctor who, in my opinion, shouldn't even have her license (Dr. Ginger Haug). They misdiagnosed multiple times, encouraged/pressure us to buy hundred dollars worth of things to help a condition that she doesn't even have, wrongfully treated her for things she doesn't have, and could have very well cost our beloved furry family member years on her life and caused her years of pain. If I were a person reading this review trying to find out if this is a great 5 star place to take your baby, then my best advice is to find a different place, a place that actually gives a damn.

Through it all, Dr. Shah has been a true light for our family. Her kindness, compassion, and genuine care for our dogs and for us as pet parents has been extraordinary. She has gone above and beyond every step of the way -- calling, texting, and checking in on Myla and Marlee daily, making sure all of our questions and concerns were thoroughly addressed with patience and empathy. No matter how many questions we had, she never rushed us and always made us feel that our dogs' well-being was her top priority. Dr. Shah is not only an outstanding veterinarian but also a truly beautiful human being. Her dedication, compassion, and expertise have brought us comfort during two of the most difficult veterinary crises we've ever faced.
