You can see the quality of the work he did in my photos, with insane floor patching (even after 3 tries and us going out to buy him our exact floorboards), shoddy finishing work on the baseboards, and caulk everywhere (including BETWEEN the floor boards!) I originally gave 3 stars for my review but am changing it to 1 since Steve accidentally sent me a text (meant for his subcontractor) calling me a bitch. Extremely unprofessional and disgusting behavior. The photos speak for themselves as to the quality of his work.

Mark and everyone who worked on the house were great. Mark did a thorough walkthrough before the job to let me know what was going to be done and what it was going to cost. He set up the days where the guys would come in and they were on time and everything was cleaned at the end of each day. They did a walkthrough with me after the job to show me what was done, and Mark called me the next day to make sure that everything was done well. I hope that I do not need to have more work done to the house for a while, but if I do I will definitely give them a call.

I worked with the Grimaldi team when I moved in to my home in southern NJ back in 2016. They did…read moresome joist reinforcements, remodeled a bathroom, covered fascia boards on my roof, and repaired cracked cinderblocks. Since then, I've discovered all the things that were wrong with the job - the latest of which was today: 1) They beam reinforcements broke through my upstairs floor, so it's not level and we've had to build over and around it since (they used a steel i-beam, so not able to replace or repair easily); 2) The cinder block repairs were unnecessary- what I needed was a foundation repair; 3) They broke boards in the floor while jacking the ceiling and did a shoddy job throwing 2x4 in place that wasn't flush with the floor; 4) In the bathroom, they didn't repair the toilet properly, so I had three wax rings and a toilet that was connected to nothing (started leaking into my ceiling last week, now getting repaired properly by a plumber). 5) When they did the work, because I paid Mark up front, what should have been done in a few weeks took about three months. He'd go for long periods with his guys not showing up before they'd come back. Having now done more real estate investing and remodeling, I recognize that he was probably upside down on cash flow and was doing jobs to keep paying his guys and slotting us in where he could. There are some other items, but I strongly recommend that you look for another contractor for any serious job you do.

Rene was professional every step of the way -- providing a comprehensive estimate for all projects, explaining costs, sticking to the budget, showing up on time, working full days, obtaining all necessary materials, completing each project properly and efficiently, and cleaning up afterwards. We have had trouble with unprofessional workmen in the past -- they don't show up, don't provide usable estimates, put in the least effort possible. Rene (and Rene) were impressive. I'm so grateful. I will definitely use the company for more jobs in the future!

I explained I wanted a steel security door and a screen door added. He gave me a price the following day and said he could do it the following week so I went for it. He and his father showed up early and finished in one day. They also had to build a concrete footing for the door to prevent water from entering. It looks great and provides some security compared to the old wood door. They were prompt , friendly and timely. A+

Thankfully,…read morehe was not injured but we needed the steps fixed quickly as the basement is where he does his laundry. I've seen contractors spend far too long on projects and offer overly large windows of time when they might arrive, so I had to research carefully to find a good one. Rob, from Giordano and Burns, gave us a specific time to expect him, and he showed up right on time. He gave us a fair price and a detailed rundown on the parts and labor. Giordano and Burns also enters a written contract with their customers so that customers know they can hold the company to its word and timeframe. I was prepared to have to sweep up any debris left from the job, but I ended up not having to because they leave the place as clean as it was when they arrived. Years down the line that stair support Giordano and Burns put in has shown no signs of weakening. I can relax knowing that my dad is not going to hurt himself on those stairs. It's difficult to come by a contractor you can trust, but I would use Giordano and Burns again any time!

I WAS REFERRED TO THIS COMPANY AS MINE PREVIOUS ONE HAD RETIRED AND WAS O LONGER AVAILABLE. This company IS overpriced and not very upfront on pricing. Their estimates we're done as a punch list with no individual pricing but just a total. When I questioned this I was given some silly explanation, aka, lip service . I feel they did it this way so they couldn't be shopped or compared. They work they DID was FAIRLY simple and did not take a master craftsman , as they sold themselves to be. New steps from garage into house, unfinished entry way steps. They priced them as new wood and used the old wood from the handicap steps that were there being replaced. The new steps are crooked, not level, or to code, and splintering because of them using old wood that had been drilled and nailed previously. I had them seal a newly installed entry door to garage. He used canned foam and leFT it all over the place , did not trim it when dry and also missed areas around the door. Messy, horrible work. I could have done a better job. He ordered latches for my Anderson windows. The originals were broke. He assured me he knew what to order, and he had plenty of time to get it right. Came here the day scheduled for all this work, with latches from big box store that they installed. Never checking to see if windows would still open and close. Well they didn't. I had to wait 3 weeks for him to get new, Anderson latches and come switch them. They were due at my home at 4 PM. I had an appt. and they were aware of this. At 4:30 I received a text saying traffic was a mess and they were on their way. I left , as I could not be late. I had them leave the latches and I switched them myself. The scheduled day of all this work they were due at my house in the AM. I was leaving work to meet them and let them in. They never called. At lunch time they still had not called, texted or reached me. I came home at lunch and still now workers. No correspondence. Finally showed up mid day and was still at my home after dinner and than complaining about how long they were here and how they still had another job. OVERBOOKED, OVERPRICED, SLOPPY AND UNPROFESSIONAL. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY . MAYBE THEY FELT THEY COULD PULL THE WOOL OVER MY EYES AS I AM A WOMAN? Just stating how I see things. I FELT IT WAS THE RIGHT THING TO DO, writing this review TO LET OTHERS KNOW. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!
