I ceased pursuing alternative counsel and operated under the understanding that my legal matter was actively being handled. After several months, I received notice that your firm would no longer be representing me. Acceptance of representation -- particularly when accompanied by a signed retainer agreement -- establishes a professional obligation. A delayed withdrawal after months of reliance has the potential to prejudice a client's legal position and materially impact deadlines, strategy, and available remedies. Additionally, the extended period of communication prior to and during representation created the clear understanding that my case was being properly evaluated and pursued. If there were concerns regarding viability, scope, or internal review processes, those should have been communicated transparently and in a timely manner.
