I had an amazing experience here. Mark was so great. I tried on boots from here years ago - and…read morerealistically I should have bought them then, but I hummed and haa'ed over the price, because boots here are pricey. I found a great deal on SW boots at Nordstrom and bought them there, but alas they did not fit over my juicy calves. Luckily I was able to return them, no problem. I know this is an SW review and not a Nordstrom review but I feel like I had to share the background. But now I was committed to the idea, I called the store first and worked with Mark over the phone and explained my juicy calf situation and he made recommendations, transacted with me online and held some alternates so I could try them on upon pick up. Turns out his phone consultation was bang on, and I happily picked up my original purchase. The nice thing about buying here, is that people really know their stuff and explained even the whys of how other customers make their decision along with having very extensive product knowledge. I will definitely buy here again. The experience was amazing. I'm super happy despite my wallet being significantly lighter. My relationship with SW was meant to be, and I should not have waited so long...and neither should you. LOL

I *love* shoes, especially Stuart Weitzman shoes. They're a lot more practical than Loubis and…read morekeep in mind that people actually have to use shoes to walk in. So it is pretty exciting that SW has its own store. However, I must say that this location is almost always empty. So it is a bit intimidating to walk into when sales staff outnumber customers. Another thing that I was a bit disappointed about was that if this store doesn't carry a particular colour that's available elsewhere (e.g. Browns), the boutique can't even order it in...so is there even a point to a stand alone store?? I'd say the median price for a pair of shoes here are ~$500. Prices on the sale rack were ~$250. I realise that that's 50% off, but I think they can do better than that! ;) Salesgirl that did help me was unpretentious though, so that was good!

So, I was driving up the QEW, about 3/4 of the way to Toronto from Buffalo, and I suddenly realized…read morethat I'd left my nice going out shoes at home. Whoops. I really couldn't wear hiking boots with my outfit to the concert I was heading to, so while I was eating breakfast with Lee, I weighed my options. There was Payless, which would be cheap, but maybe not the best selection. I remember hearing that DSW had opened some locations in Canada, so I figured I'd go with a store that I'm familiar with. So this place is precisely what like any other DSW is in the US. Men's shoes on the left, Ladies' on the right, clearance racks in the back, and various accessories and such all over. So if you've been to a DSW in the US, you know what you're looking for. Now, perhaps the expectation for some people is that "D" stands for Discount. This is sort of true and sort of not. If you want a deal, you look in the clearance racks. For the most part what is good about DSW is the variety of options and price ranges. It's not a warehouse full of cheap shoes. I ended up spending a good half hour looking for a pair that would feel good and look good with what I was wearing, and I made it out of the store for under $30 for a decent pair of shoes. So 3 stars for a bog-standard DSW experience. I was a little bit disappointed that my DSW card doesn't transfer across the border, that was a little disappointing considering other cards (like Costco) do. I don't want a separate card, I want the one I have to work!

In Canada a store must honour an advertised price which they refused to do so. I had picked out a pair of shoes and asked for a size.m, when I tried them on and I liked them I went to pay and was charged 149.99 but the advertised price was 129.99. When I went to show them the shoes they had already removed the price tag when I gave it to them but the plastic tag was there and the paper price tag with the price was on the floor. I spoke to the store manager, Yvonne and she was beyond useless and has 0 customer service. She refused to fix the situation insinuating that I was lying. And even when I called customer support line they said the store decision was final. This is illegal and I will make sure everyone is aware of this store actions and make sure no one goes through this again.

They carry many popular brands such as Converse, UGGs, Birkenstock, etc. I purchased a pair of yellow Converse All Stars online that were on sale and received an additional 10% discount as it was the first time shopping there. I opted to have the shoes shipped to the Sherway store and, surprisingly, it was really busy in there. The sales associates were very friendly, helpful and processed my order quickly. A couple of weeks later, I noticed the shoes were further marked down so I contacted Customer Service to ask if they would honour the sale price. They were so easy to deal with; I was told just take the receipt in and they would make an adjustment. They even gave me another promo code so I could still receive the 10% discount. I went to store and the sales associate processed the transaction really quickly - no headaches whatsoever. I paid $40 taxes in - what an amazing deal! Some other Canadian retailers should consider following suit of SoftMoc policies and procedures.

Before Tory landed it's own stores in Canada, I often saw them in Holt Renfrew where it had circular golden emblem sit on bags and loafers. Though most designs are modern, it does have a bit of a retro vibe. The stores are exactly like her brand. Golden accents frame up the bold colours of emeralds and rubies on the pieces. Sometimes you'll spot a cutesy saying on a bag or a cat face on an item. Most days the store is a calm spot but during the winter sales... watch out for the older ladies just swarming the store because of the 50% off everything sale. Service here is mostly solid where they have 3 people trying to help people find sizes or pull items for a closer look. I find the style not quite mine but it's all very wearable with easy tunics, simple flowy pieces, or a figure skimming sheath. The prices are above the average piece but I do find the material quality much nicer. Fit and finish is a step up and if you do find something you like, it's an easy nice wear. I do have to mention that the sizing is not as forgiving if you're petite. What was described as figure skimming and above the knees... well, it went a good inch below and perhaps almost 2 inches too big in other spots. Maybe I'm just not cut out for the same as most Americans! oh well.

Am basing this on multiple times when I came in to just look around, and she was the ONLY happy and eager little asian woman who would gladly offer her assistance to me whether or not I buy anything. The others just ignored me sadly. But no worries as I know who to go to if I want to purchase from now on. Anyway, the store is nice. Am loving all the design colours and prints. There are also sofas inside the store if your trying on shoes and they offer a beverage while you wait as well. Also, the quality speaks for itself and you will love what you get from them as they last long! For sure I recommend the brand and I will purchase from them again in the future.
