I purchased a home with a fence installed from this company in 2018. I contacted them because the fence is sitting on sprinkler heads. Per their contract, which I have a copy of, states they guarantee their workmanship. Clearly, as sighted in the images, the fence is on top of those sprinklers. In the contract, it states they are not responsible for the irrigation, however, I am not seeking them to fix anything but replace that side of the fence. The company refused. Saying that once transferred it is voided. However, it does NOT state this in the contract. The couple I purchased the home from were older and were unaware of this issue. It's unfortunate that this company would not take responsibility for properly placing the fence. Marcus, who oversaw the fencing project, stated the third party contractors did place it incorrectly -- following the sprinkler heads. This is unprofessional, as they were provided the survey. My new survey shows the fence line being off. Which, if you know, your neighbor maintains that property for 10 years, you can lose it. I don't believe I should pay a company to fix their mistakes. If I'm going to pay anyone, it'll be another company to fix it. To me, it seems like a easy way to get extra money out of people. They would have never known that the fence was improperly placed if we hadn't gotten a survey during the sell. Just beware. You trust professionals to do the job right, but these "professionals" didn't ensure that and are now costing the owners more money. We did a little research on this company and its competitors, decided that Walker was the best company for our needs, price, availability, and WARRANTY. On 11/21/2016 we signed a contract for the fence installation to the tune of $7800 and some change. Fence was installed on 12/2-3/2016, took two days. I removed the original fence saving almost $2500. Was told by salesman Marcus, that this fence has a lifetime warranty for materials and one year on labor, it didn't matter if I drove my lawn mower through the fence, the material would be covered, labor not. Had to have them come out twice in the first six months to repair my gate, it began to say and bind. The second time, they repositioned the gate posts further apart. Fast forward to April 2019 and called the again regarding my gate, this time the gate was cracking, PVC fencing. They came out to look at it. Told me it had been almost three years and they could sell me a new gate and install it at a discount. Called them numerous times and was told either we already sent you a quote, or that's not a manufacturing defect. Finally two weeks ago, 6/28/19, a storm had blown my gate down my driveway, called again and was told that the warranty did not cover act of God. I finally concede knowing that I have to have a gate, I pay them to come put up a new gate on 7/3/19. Was told they would not be able to make it out till Monday due to the holiday. No problem, Monday comes and goes with no call, no show. I call this morning 7/9/19 and am told my payment wasn't processed until Monday, and I would be put on the schedule at some point next week. SAVE YOURSELF the aggravation and high blood pressure. Go with anyone else. Even if it is a crackhead on the corner of Berkley and 92. At least then you know the warranty read more

Walker Fence put in a PVC privacy fence for us. Two weeks later, we noticed the screws were falling out of one of the hinges on a gate. Called them, first they tried to say they don't honor work damaged by a hurricane. They were told to look at the invoice and see installation was after Irma. Finally someone went out and said the screws stripped out the PVC at installation so they put in news screws that were too big. Those screws then started to tear out the PVC. At that point Walker refused to honor their warranty and said the gate must have been abused. The gate was only opened once every two weeks and locked the rest of the time. The fence is only 6 months old. Another gate settled to the point it cannot be opened and they refused to fix it even though they claim a one year warranty. My husband and I had Walker's Fence out on 12/15 for an estimate. We were given a time frame of 5 weeks for the installation. Each time we called to get a confirmed date we were pushed to the following week. Never once did they call us to update us on timing. We have been rescheduled at least four times and we still don't have a fence. We made our deposit of half the amount on 12/19 and yet here we are, waiting on a return call from management/owners and we have gotten nothing in return! read more

If you do not do the work correctly, then a warranty does not mean much. If a warranty does not mean much, then why stand behind it? Or so that seems to the philosophy of Walker's Fence. We are Florida homeowners (living in another state) and are renting out our Florida home. We wanted some privacy for our tenants and had Walker's Fence install a fence on the property. They did this in Mid-September 2017 (after hurricane Irma passed through) and it seemed to be a good job. Then came the first repair. During the first week of October, our property manager saw what seemed to be some loose screws (literally, several screws for the hinges had ripped free on one of the gates). Scott, a representative from Walker's, did an inspection a week later. They told us the pilot holes in the vinyl were the wrong size and so were the too-small screws. Larger screws we installed as their fix on October 20, 2017. Four months after that (on March 20, 2018), our manager noted that the new screws had also ripped out because the first repair had damaged the vinyl. Our manager took pictures and sent copies to us. We sought another repair from Walker's since the materials are supposed to be warrantied for 25 years, and the work for at least one year. When we called them to ask about this, they said any work would now cost more money. The fight was on. Their rude representative (Carl) tried to blame Irma (the calendar denied that approach). Then it was misuse of the gate (although the tenant does not use that gate and it is opened once every fourteen days or so for lawn maintenance). Then it was faulty materials from the manufacturer. Carl's boss and company owner, David, backed up whatever Carl was saying. The owner refused to even look at the fence, then refused to work with our legal representative and agent. We were then told, by David, that they would not honor the warranty and would talk to the owners only through Jane. Per Jane, "We are no longer doing business with the owner." This seems extreme for what seems a small repair that was needed because they erred on the installation. We contacted the Better Business Bureau and the BBB did their best. All we wanted was the loose hinge repaired (as per the alleged warranty) and the name of the manufacturer so we could contact them about their faulty materials. Even with the help from the BBB, Walker's refused to do anything by deny responsibility and refuse to honor the warranty. We have another (more reputable) company doing the repair. Walker's seemed to be a good company and seemed to have a good reputation. We were wrong. We do not know why they refused to stand behind their work, acted rudely, and lied (or at least tried to). This is not a company with which you want to work. Maybe we were just too small a customer for them. Maybe we were seen as out-of-staters. Maybe this is how they always do business. Whatever the story, if we can give them zero stars, they earned it. read more

This company deserves no stars whatsoever. They are a poor excuse for a fence company. There shoddy workmanship has their fences falling apart in 6 months or less. It is never their fault and they refuse to repair. Aall buyers BEWARE. People spend a lot of money on these fences and they should be built to last. Go to Williams or Daniels and get a quality product. I will post this anywhere and everywhere I can. They will be reported to the BBB and the construction industry. My husband and I were given an original quote of $3400 on 9/6/17, right before Hurricane Irma hit for approx 150 ft of fencing. I contacted them last week asking to move forward with this project. My husband was contacted today 9/21/17 by Marcus at Walker fencing saying the price increased due to Hurricane Irma to $4400... that's called price gouging! You're praying on the innocent victims of this storm, merely to make more money. This is immoral and unethical business behavior, shame on you... As a smaller business I expected more, I expected better. This is unacceptable. I'd give zero stars if there were an option. These guys did a great job. They were extremely professional, communication was solid, and the finished product was better than expected. We even had to make some changes mid project, and the turned out to be just as easy as the initial quote. I would recommend them to anyone looking for fencing. Extremely disappointed with their service. A water irrigation pipe was broken and the workers did not tell us. We found it afterward after we had turned sprinklers on. Unused cement was dumped several places in our yard. The double gate posts were conspicuously uneven. When I mentioned it while paying the remaining balance today, I was told merely that they would talk to the workers and that that's why they have clients sign a contract to waive liability.
