I have just had a very large patio area designed and installed by the Brickyard. They did an awesome job and even suggested a few positive changes to what I wanted done, which my wife and I agreed were fantastic add on to what we wanted. They went above and beyond. We also purchased a shed from the Brickyard that was delivered and placed where we wanted it. Great prices and end results show the reason we are so pleased with the work completed. read more

We are very pleased with our new driveway from THE BRICKYARD. Ron Metcalfe, owner, met with us and suggested everything that made it beautiful......pattern, size, and color of the pavers and edging, shape modifications of the driveway and sidewalk, and the imbedded lights which outline everything. The process was well-organized with timely delivery and installation of the various steps of the process. We highly recommend his company! read more

We called for a quote of pressure washing , sanding and sealing our pavers and that process went well. The person showed up on schedule and gave us a quote on the spot. We were charged $25. for the quote with the understanding that if we gave them the work it would be deducted from the bill. No problems. One day later my wife called to schedule the work . No one answered so she left a message for someone to call her back. After 2 days passed, I called and after explaining to the person what I was looking for she said "the person who handles that work is not in the office---she will call you back later today or tomorrow morning". After waiting 2 more days I decided to call other companies for quote. I found a company that would do the same work for half the price. They did not charge me to quote and he answers his phone. read more

Can't say enough good about this company. Ron Metcalf is the owner and if he says he'll do it then it's as good as done! Great employees/subcontractors that always show up, work harder than any I've ever seen, clean up after themselves, and are always helpful and polite. They do beautiful work, you won't be disappointed, and at a fair price. Very highly recommended!!! read more

The Brickyard replaced a very ugly, high maintenance rock garden with a beautiful, no maintenance paver patio for my father's villa in Sandpiper. Ron had everything delivered on schedule, installed and worksite cleaning immaculate after completion. I then trusted The Brickyard to put a Rubber floor in my garage. Another fantastic job...(my garage door repairman wants to live in my garage). The floor was delivered on schedule, installed, and cleaning was immaculate after completion. The staff are highly professional and trustworthy, I highly recommend The Brickyard. read more

In February of 2021, my family and I began meeting with different businesses in order to help us construct a sizable screened-in patio (a real "Florida Room") on the back of our house. During our search, we came upon the BrickYard company, and my father sat down with Ron and planned out what we wanted to do. The plans were detailed, the materials were superior, and the pricing was more than fair. We decided to proceed with the BrickYard for the patio pavers and another company for the siding, roof, and screens. A short time after making the deal, we began having issues with the other company. Ron brought several of these issues to our attention. After numerous issues with the other contractor company, Ron and the BrickYard continued to fight for us to make sure we got exactly what we were looking for in our porch. He even went so far as to delay his own work (and his substantial payday) in order to give the other company time to make amends to the plans to match what we wanted. His working crew was honest, clean, prompt, and up front with all details. Finally, the job was completed, and it looks great. Ron even called a week later to confirm that the other company had come through and finished the job well. Ron is an honest, decent, industrious man, and his company, the BrickYard, exemplifies that very same spirit. My family and I felt very taken care of by his company, and we relish the opportunity to work with them again one day. I cannot recommend this company to you enough. read more

We had our driveway and flower beds installed by the work crew with The Brickyard. They look excellent, however before a year was up we were having issues with the lighting. It would go on and off as designed, but then would flash every 90 seconds or so day and night. Ron sent someone out to try and fix it, however the "fix" did not work and it continues to flash. I have called and emailed numerous times since the summer of 2017 and now he refuses to help with resolving the situation. He won't even answer or return phone calls or answer emails. I guess the only fix will be for us to hire an electrician and pay for it out of our pocket. NOT a good representation of the companies warranties or Mr. Metcalf's work ethics. read more

If you're looking for a paver, would look elsewhere. Completely unprofessional. The balls on the owner (Ron) for demanding $25 dollars up front for coming out to quote when I told him I have other pavers coming to get a quote due to "having to come out twice". Was looking for a professional to complete a DIY patio job as I got a bit in over my head. Called them for a quote to complete it. Come to find out I had called this company 6-8 months prior for a gutter and screen patio job and was assured by the scheduling person (told by Ron during the consult its his mother-in-law) at the time that they could do gutter work, which I came to understand after Ron was here that his business does NOT provide. No harm, we went our separate ways. Now when he comes out for work his company can do, I'm shopping around, as any homeowner should do. He tells me he wants $25 dollars for having to come out twice, for his companies mistake, I was clear when speaking with his scheduling person that I was looking for gutter work that also involved my screen patio. Telling me the money can go to the work if I work with him. That's not professional, that's borderline extortion. I would be more worried if he is doing this same kind of aggressive tactic to older homeowners in the area. Be warned! read more

Have you ever wished you'd gotten just one more quote and gone with that other company? That's me and The Brickyard. I'd rate the laborers 5 stars if I could and the owner somewhere in the neighborhood of -10 (that's minus 10). In my opinion, the owner is a liar, a crook, and a bully. He's getting more than the price of the original contract, and we had to pay another company to finish the work. Don't even bother calling this company for a quote--or maybe do, just to waste their time. read more

Ron did such a great job in helping us select the right colored pavers that matched the front of the rock elevation already on our house. He helped us in picking out the design pattern of the pavers, then offered us the option of lighting along the border of our driveway, we wavered back and forth on that, but we decided to go with it, and it is BEAUTIFUL!!!!!! His crew worked very hard and did an excellent job for us. I feel extremely comfortable with the workmanship and the job his crew did and we would recommend The Brickyard for any paver job. We LOVE our new driveway. It looks absolutely fantastic!!! Outstanding job, Ron and crew! Thank you so much. We love our new driveway!!!! The Blackburns Lake James, Lakeland, Florida read more

I went to the Brickyard after looking for a shed at Home Depot and Lowes. I was very disappointed in the customer service at these two places and the fact no one seemed to care whether I had questions or not, and I was handed a phamplet and told if I decided to get one let them know. We then went to the Brickyard, and met Ron. Here was someone who really cared to help us find what we wanted and had answers to all the questions we had. Also the quality of the sheds at the Brickyard far surpassed what we saw at Home Depot and Lowes. All I can say is, do yourself a favor, for quality and integrity and a real chance to be important rather than a faceless customer, go to The Brickyard. read more
