We…read moresaw her for all appointments up to 3 months, which came to a total of 6 visits from Oct 2012- Jan 2013. At the appointment six days after our daughter's birth, she had lost too much weight and we needed to make changes with breastfeeding. She recommended nurse 30mins, then pump while baby gets supplemental bottle from dad, and then repeat every 2hrs. She also pushed baby's face into my boob to show us how to feed better, which had my daughter screaming since she's quite sensitive. After two days of this crazy schedule and terrible BF positioning advice, we finally went to a Lactation Consultant and got some great advice contrary to what Dr. Loftis's advice (1st time parents, nervous, I know we should have done this sooner). I wish Dr. Loftis had suggested that we see a LC right away instead of suggesting such a high quantity of supplementation. Also, my daughter cried every time that Dr. Loftis did the simple exam looking in her ears, nose, mouth, etc.; she doesn't cry with the new doctor we're seeing. The last straw was when my daughter got thrush. Dr. Loftis confirmed it as thrush and I asked her what to do so that my daughter and I didn't pass it back-and-forth while nursing. She told me that if I got thrush on my nipples, I would have to talk to my own doctor about it. I was appalled-- I was asking for my daughter's sake, not my own!! When we told our new pediatrician about the thrush, she immediately told me (unprompted) what to do to prevent passing it back-and-forth while nursing. Even my ob-gyn asked about my daughter at a recent appointment and gave me advice for this issue with thrush. Dr. Loftis could certainly be a perfect match for someone else and maybe our personalities just clashed.

My child and I, recently moved into…read morethe area and needed a new pediatrician, specifically for her 'well child check-up', I went through the usual rigmarole of calling the insurance company to set up a new provider, etc., etc and was thrilled to know this pediatrician was part of our network. After much research regarding ratings and distance from our residence, I put in a request for my daughter as a new patient, with this particular pediatrician and made the phone call to the office at the beginning of July! I was told that the doctor would need to approve new patients (understandably), was then told it could TAKE UP to two weeks, called a week later to verify about request and was told that the application was on the doctor's desk, I told them my daughter was experiencing prolonged headaches and wondered if my request could be expedited, once again I was told that it was on doctor's desk and they would call when she could review it. Here I am, the last day of August, almost a month later, called them today, spoke with the manager who only had record of my initial request phone call, had no record of my second attempt at getting an approval.....so here's the thing, there was no apology for the wait, only apathy, no transparency in the first two phone calls in saying that the doctor was to capacity with patients and was leaving the country in 10 days. Needless to say I went with another doctor (duh) who provided me with an appointment the same day, just as experienced and had better ratings and sounded less pretentious, plus their office manager seemed to have a handle on how to run the office. I get it, it's difficult to find office people who are competent, but this particular office either needs to get their act together or find some humility, you do the public an injustice by thinking that we deserve the kind of service you provide due to perhaps the complacency of the people you serve. There are many doctors in the area, finding one that actually cares is the hard part, Madhu Raghavan, YOU AND YOUR STAFF are not better than anyone else. You should try to hire people who actually care, are empathetic or at least sympathetic to people's needs, says a lot about you and how you probably practice medicine, very mediocre!

I can't express the gratitude I have for Dr Bhatia and her staff. I have seen reviews on here that…read moresay she is rude and that is NOT the case. Yes, she is direct but that is why she is so good at what she does. I chose to leave my son's last pediatrician because it was difficult to get apts when needed and never received calls back. EVERY TIME I call Dr. Bhatias office her and her staff fit my son in. Yes, you may have to wait a little SOMETIMES but she always takes the time to see my son when I or my husband are concerned about our son. My son had a nasty rash recently and from the moment she saw him she knew immediately what it was, started him on medication and we were in and out. There have been so many times we show up and she treats myself and son with so much respect and provides knowledgable care and treatment. Thank you Dr Bhatia and staff. The front desk was helpful and answered a couple questions I had about the forms. Once I was brought in, the assistant was brief but respectful and seemed to know the steps. They asked a few health history questions and went over my chart. The doctor came in a short while later and started asking questions that related directly to my concern. They explained a few possible causes and offered some advice on how to manage it better. I liked that they didn't rush the conversation and checked if I had any other questions before ending. I left with some simple instructions that seemed manageable. I wouldn't call it amazing but it was good enough that I'd return. It was a clean, decent place and the visit went like it should.
