After he asked his first question, I advised him of the prescription medication I am taking. Upon hearing this, he became immediately irritated. He printed out two pieces of paper and slammed them on the desk and told me to read them. I have never applied for a Class II FAA Medical Certificate before, so I am unaware of what I am reading. I asked what I was looking at and what to do to remedy the situation, he began to curse at me and berate me as if I was less than human. I told him directly that I did not appreciate his attitude towards me, and that I did not like being spoken to, especially as a patient from a "Doctor". He responded by telling me, "Do you even know how to F-ing Read?!" I replied once more that I did not appreciate the disrespect he was showing me and he replied by grabbing the papers, crumbling them up, and cursing at me even more and told me to leave the office. I was asking questions about what he was throwing at me and I was met with nothing but disrespect and a barrage of "F" words. As he stormed out of his office, he shouted to his staff behind the desk that I was unhappy with his attitude and that I will be leaving. As if I was causing a scene. This was by far the worst Dr/Patient experience I have ever had. This man is less than professional and it is beyond me how he is even still allowed to practice. I am more than happy to explain in greater detail if there are any more questions.

I am not sure what the reason for the discrimination was, since all I did was walk in and try to check in for my appointment on time. In any case, RUN don't walk to any other primary care doctor in the area. This one is not open for business. they are a waste of your time. i'm not really sure "who" their clientele actually is and what the criteria s for qualifying. I have experienced discrimination before, but not so blatantly and openly, for zero reason.

Due to a cancer history, I've been treated at Stanford and Mayo...and I can say without reservation that I've been treated by some incredible doctors, but I've never had another doctor who made me feel more heard and understood. My medical history is complex and Dr. Balda respects my personal experience and understanding of what's happening in my body. She listens to her patients and doesn't talk at them like so many doctors are prone to do. I have the utmost respect for her as a doctor and as a person. And, the entire team at Balda Health is awesome, too! Who knew you could enjoy calls from your doctor's office?! My son filled out all forms online prior to showing up to the office. He paid for his co-pay prior to his appointment as well.
