As of this review, my system is 14 years old but runs ok and I have window units as backups. Given that, Steve recommended maintaining the current system and replacing it only when necessary, and preferably during the slower fall season. Steve's honest assessment saved me thousands, and he has earned my future business. He also told me something the other guys didn't: The closet that contains my air handler and water heater is not large enough for the new system recommended to me, so the HVAC and water heater bundle quote I received was likely to increase significantly under sales pressure, and would require a tankless water heater. If you enjoy spending thousands more than necessary, there are plenty of companies in ETX that will help you do exactly that. However, if you value honesty, integrity, fairness, and a lifetime of experience, do your family a favor and call Steve Baser Air Conditioning. Work quality (as far as I can tell) was good, but price is extremely high considering the time and parts required. Won't be my first choice next time we have an issue.

I waited to review because this company gave the vibes that they would retaliate by some bogus charges . C. Woods technician also set out water heater on continuous VS demand which continually heats the water instead of when on demand-which depletes your gas much faster. There was no conversation about this. I found this company reckless and indifferent to this project , probaly because we are not in an affluent neighborhood and I believe they have some corporate accounts. Luckily, I was able to find the names and emails of the general managers of this company in case they try to send a delayed bill. My family and I live in a home that was brand new when we moved in four years ago. The AC unit was…read moreinstalled by Four Seasons. It quit working recently, and we discovered that the problem was a coil in the upper unit and it needed to be replaced. Four Seasons quoted me $1,000 for labor and the cost of the refrigerant. I understand that normal wear and tear can occur, but I think it's unreasonable that the company that installed the equipment seriously ask a customer to pay $1,000 on something that is four year old. The part was covered under warranty, which means that all of the costs of the repair were coming from Four Seasons, so they had maximum flexibility to work with me on the price. They declined to do so. In addition, while I'm no expert I was told by another person in the industry that these particular AC units have been known to have these issues for at least 5 years. Four Seasons still chose to install this particular model knowing that they were notorious for having coil problems. I would not recommend. Expensive and obviously not willing to bear any responsibility whatsoever.

We have a brand new build, and we having to get another AC company to completely redo the entire duct work and routing of our home. Four Seasons used no MJ report(lied about using one as well), failed every Duct Leak Test, and Failed every CFM flow test and balance analysis that we have done, and it has been an absolute nightmare. I do not wish this experience on anyone else, and normally wouldn't take the time to make a post like this. Our dehumidifier was completely hooked up backwards, and the duct work for upstairs and downstairs was backwards as well. The job in our attic was so bad words can't describe it. Countless HVAC professionals have been in and out of our home in the last few months and have been in shock in what a poor job was done in a brand new build. We have lost count on how many others in mentioning this company's name have had major issues and the same experiences. They are cheap for reason and will cost you money in the long run.
