The venue itself is old but still somewhat nice. As far as drinks and refreshments they are EXTREMELY LIMITED and do not offer anything but water that has chemicals that raise your Blood Pressure (read the bottle), cheap wines that you over pay for and the pours are small for the prices, and a few sodas. They do not have ice for their sodas and at best are barely chilled. They don't serve anything diet but Diet Coke and for people who can't have soda, this isn't good. I went in with my Diet Cranberry Juice that they don't offer and there no alcoholic in it and was accosted and treated so very rude by the so called Manager. I purchased over $1,000.00 in tickets and they will not refund tickets per an email I received. Please see what I received. The so called manager is rude and refuses to listen to anyone. There is no where to dance in this venue. The venue always appears smoky to the eye. There are so many more venues around that are much nicer and are cleaner and that have much better refreshments and all the groups that Walhalla has booked are booked at one or another of these other amazing venues. I will NOT be wasting my money on this venue ever again and neither will my friends or family. read more

I bought tickets for the Crystal Gale concert. After the concert being postponed on three different occasions, I requested a refund. Mark Thompson, the manager, told me that he could help process my refund. Communication with Mark has ceased and he will not respond to me. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE!! I am very dissatisfied with the customer service and am trying to warn everyone about this place! read more

The Walhalla Performing Arts Center at the Historic Walhalla Civic Auditorium, originally a grade school built in 1903 with the auditorium added in 1913, strives to provide a world-class facility for performances, conferences & special events in order to enhance the cultural & social life of the Mountain Lakes Region in Upstate South Carolina. The Auditorium offers 456 seats including 140 in the balcony. The 100 seat reception hall is available for rental for groups & organizations for meetings & social events, it also serves as the concession area during events. In 1993 the Walhalla Auditorium Restoration Committee created a charter, obtained a lease and a 501(c)3 designation & restoration began. The first performance happened in August 2003. The Walhalla Performing Arts Center at the Walhalla Civic Auditorium is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Meet the Manager: Mark T.

Mark Thompson began at the WPAC in July of 2017 & comes from the nonprofit Greenville Events, where he helped run Downtown Alive, the Farmers Market & Main Street Jazz. He also oversaw more than 200 productions a year at the Newberry Opera House as former operations director. Prior to that, he worked in the hotel industry in Florida, wheere he was a systems manager at hotels that were full service & offered shows at their in-house nightclubs & lounges. Thompson transferred to the Crown Plaza in Greenville SC, where he helped run the comedy club & nightclub.
