Oh no!!! We got a new car battery and the car won't stop blinking. The emergency lights just won't go off. The loud alarm wasn't going off, just the emergency lights. And the triangle button wasn't doing anything. We went back to the car shop and inquired what we could do. They suggested that the alarm may be going off. We zipped home and found the key fob that has the alarm button on it. Sadly the fob didn't do a thing. No locking and unlocking the doors, no panic button clicking on and off. Nothing. OMG!!! What to do. We popped it open and the battery looked fine. We haven't used it in 7 years so it should still be working. The battery wasn't corroded so there was no excuse why is wasn't working. Our only guess is it expired. Maybe time drained it. So off to Walgreens we went. In high hopes they had this unique battery size. We brought our expired battery with us. It actually had no expiration date so I should just refer to it as a dead battery. To our pleasant surprise they had it. It looked like a AAA battery but half the heights. We've never seen a battery like it before. Usually in key fobs they use giant watch looking batteries. Those we actually have at home. The batteries were easy to find in Walgreens. Soon as you enter go right and walk past the cash register and on the wall on the right all your batter dreams are hanging. When we found the one we wanted we realized the batteries were locked. By that time a long line at the cashiers had formed. After waiting by the batteries I got in line. When it was my turn she grabbed her key and helped us get our battery. By then the line had subsided and we quickly checked out, put in our rewards number and were on our way. In the car we instantly put the battery in, but it didn't do anything, no light went on or anything. We drove home and now we were in sight of our car we tried it again and the light blinked and the doors unlocked. With another click the doors locked. After that we were on a roll. No more blinking lights and thankfully the issue was solved. We are so blessed that we solved the problem with a single batter and no trip to the dealership. The cashier was pleasant and efficient. She welcomed everyone into the store even as she was busy checking people out. I thought that was a nice touch, the personal welcome. Unsafe!!!!! Trash in the drive way around the pharmacy. I was threatened by another patron and the store did nothing to assist. They overcharge on co-pays. Had to spend hours on phone with my insurance to get it worked out. The manager, Anita, is rude and defensive. The pharmacist is rude and uncaring. The pharmacist assistant ignores you so you just have to sit and wait. And God forbid they smile or act pleasant. It is bad enough the place looks like a slum. I stopped in for some vaccines after making an appointment online. They make it easy to reserve an appointment and check in digitally when you arrive. We waited a bit for our turn and all the staff members we interacted with were helpful and friendly. They have a little private room where they give you the shots and they recommended that I hang around about 15 minutes after to make sure I didn't have a reaction. Luckily they're giving out 20% off coupons when you get a vaccine there so we did a little shopping and grabbed some gatorade before heading out. Whenever I stop into a Walgreens I feel like I'm being transported to the early 2000's, they seem a bit old school and may need a refresh, but I know what to expect. read more

This review is only for the photo department. I made an online order for approximately 38 photos. When the photos arrived I noticed that approximately 15 pictures were unusable. On a number of the pictures, someone's head was cut off either from the top or of the pictures, many of the pictures were way too dark. Luckily I was able to call Walgreens customer service and get a full refund. I had to usae another company. read more

The wait time in the drive through is shockingly long, and the pharmacist was insulting when I brought it up when I walked into the pharmacy and finally got to the front of the second line after leaving the drive-through because my car stayed in exactly the same place for close to 20 minutes. Not only wasn't l given any kind of apology, but the pharmacist stated that it is "not an express lane" as I saw through the window that the same car that was in front of me was still at the drive-through window. It would be one thing if it was a rare situation and they apologized and let me know they were severely understaffed, but Walgreens instead hires people who are comfortable blaming the customer in an insulting way. Does anyone go to a drive-through with only two cars in front of them and think that it's acceptable to wait 20 minutes while using energy to keep their car cool on a hot day, or to spent close to 30 minutes to pick up a prescription that has been confirmed as "ready to pick up"? There is a vast range between an "express lane" and basic, minimally acceptable service that every single customer would expect. I know there are good people who work here, but I don't want to be insulted by an employee when a store makes an obvious mistake, or to support a business whose employee feels comfortable doing this to a customer. Based on previous reviews for this location, I am not the only customer who has had these experiences, and based on how long ago some of the concerns were posted this is a store that it disregards feedback in the same way it disregards the importance of a customer's time. read more

Sent a prescription here because the one closer to me that I usually go to was out of a medication. It was suppose to be ready a few days ago. I check and it just says it's not done and they're behind schedule (by 4 days?) so I called and someone kept picking up and placing me on the hold. That happened 3 times. It finally starts ringing repeatedly (I mean over and over and over and over again) to the point where I don't think they're going to answer. Finally someone answers. The guy has an attitude where you can just tell that he hates his job and doesn't want to be bothered. I say thank you at the end of the call and he just hangs up. Hmm...if you don't like what you do in life sir, maybe find another job. Being rude is unnecessary. Then I go online and see other reviews and their experiences are the same. Maybe these complaints need to be copied and forwarded to their corporate office. As a drugstore, if your hours are open until 9 PM, I expect you to be open until 9 PM. Maybe I need allergy medicine, or NyQuil, or one of the three other reasons I would ever go to a drugstore. But I can't get in, because you decided to close at 8:55. All you've done is inconvenience me and made sure I'm just going to drive five minutes down the road to Walmart where what I needed is probably cheaper. Worst effing place to get your RX filled. Dr sent over about 2:30 pm today and i stopped in at the drive thru for at least a 25 minute effing wait while 2 cars ahead of me sit. BEWARE!! very bad svc! We went to checked in my appointment, mgr. Paul E. Kong ordered me to scan the QR code to check in. Wth is wrong with customer svc at this WG?! Y is check-in in person require me to go and use my phone to checkin. Went I went to get my 2nd dose of rabies shot the same day we were going oversea; Kong refused me my vaccs because it as not a 7 dys vs by hours. I was a day early and he refused me of my vaccs. On top of that, he canceled my appt without notifying me for both vaccs appts. that I had scheduled for this and when I return. What a sh**** biz is this hell hole! I give myself one star for stupidly filling a new prescription here which I later found out was wildly overpriced. Walgreens list price was over $400, and the Good RX app listed it at $84 with discounts to between $20-28 at several pharmacies including Walgreens. But Walgreens charged me $84 and refused to investigate if they had made a mistake. I'm an idiot for asking Walgreens to help, they do not entertain refunds or adjustments. This is the Auburn Pharmacy. I seriously thought of transferring my RX to Walgreens because Rite Aid is closing. I love the small town feel etc. I was in line, waiting, it started with the person ahead of me. they were rude to him. he looked confused . a long line behind me. I finally spoke with a pharmacist. I asked about transferring my RX. certain drugs cannot be transferred, she made that plain as she wadded up my paperwork, thrusted it into the trash and walked away! "we dont transfer those kind of drugs, no more expianations. I had other questions I stood there to try to get her attention, but she ignored me. she knew Zi was standing there and she ignored me! after about 5 minutes standing there, she walked up and said is there anything else"? I felt embarrassed. I looked at her and told her this was the last time she would see my face. terrible customer service, bar none! people behind me agreed and started clapping. The clerks at the front of the store agreed, it's not the first time, he said, they are bad!! You lost a customer and I'm sure there are many more! Big extraction today, and the dentist suggested Walgreen's for the pain meds instead of Raley's where I buy groceries (but I'm about to switch that as well as Rxes). Last time at Raley's they made me wait -- no chairs! -- and then said they didn't have the prescribed med oh well . . .) I knew this Walgreen's store because my bank has an ATM there and I dreaded even going in because it was awful!!! There were boxes sitting out and I wondered if it was languishing in a slow death. Well! Now the store has perhaps all new manager and staff! It is beautiful! There are carts, and the floors are clean and clear. As soon as I get better, I can hardly wait to come back to shop! Scamming, every where you look: I bought a cheap medical appliance, took it home... found it was an empty box. phoned to complain, girl on phone said bring it back... but I'm disabled and have to taxi everywhere, so would have cost me more to return to store than item cost... A woman who works at Walgreens was absolutely rude and needs to learn how to properly talk to customers. My 94 year old grandfather had to use the restroom and has a hard time holding it. When I asked where the bathroom was she responds "we don't have a public bathroom." When I pleaded with her for my grandfather she continues to repeat herself we don't have a public bathroom multiple times. She should have at least had some sympathy and at least apologize for the inconvenience. Some people really have a special place waiting for them. Two days ago I went in to pick up a prescription. I had a newer prescription for 3 months. They hide the prescriptions in sealed bags, so I asked the clerk how many pills? I was told 180 = 3 months. They are a complete hot mess! Back in December 2021 i went TWO times to get my medicine, 1st time the drive thru line was god awful long and i was like "okay that's okay it's understandable because of Omicron variant was at its peak" but i just pulled out and left because i of course had things to do! Second time still the same, so i parked and went inside, and it was the same - long long line at the pharmacy that was hardly moving. Again, i left January 2022 came i went to get the same medication, the line was again soooo long in drive thru, i was persistent this time to wait because i really really needs my meds. I kid you not i waited for an entire whole hour from & i finally got to the window and the guy there was like "oh yeah we can't help you now because we need to start our 30 minute lunch" i told him "i came THREE times and now i was waiting for an entire hour. Is there anyway you guys can switch lunches between each other?" He started giving me a lovely nice lecture about CA labor laws (which is actually part of what i do for a living) - anyways, i let him know that I'm aware of the laws, but I'm also aware that the shifts should've been managed a tad better maybe? And maybe if there are only two, then one takes an earlier break and comes back to cover, etc... he said "well we have to to start our lunch" Okay wellppp i had to leave again because i actually ache from sitting for so long (long story short: disability of autoimmune disease) I had to pull a Karen and call and file a complaint. Lady was lovely on the phone, quick, friendly and professional - she said someone will definitely call me within 2-3 business days maximum 5 business days to follow up on my complain. That didn't happen! 4th time - my fiancé went another day and after waiting for 45 minutes he finally got my medicines that I've been trying to get from this pharmacy for a whole MONTH if not even more actually! Whoever the DM is and whoever this SM please do us a favor and either train your employees on how to run proper shifts, or how to be more efficient, how to me professional yet friendly, and honestly the list of suggested trainings is so long for this branch is too long to mention. Had to use Walgreens to ensure my mother had enough medications for her visit. Was greeted by Gus. He was wonderful. Offered to call insurance to see if we could get an override for moms medication due to her travel. I watched his kindness with all of the customers including providing the flavors of the available lollipops to a child in a car at the drive thru. He is a wonderful asset to your organization. He has a natural ability to make people feel welcome and also valued in the short interaction he has with the customers. If I had my business cards with me I would of attempted To recruit him. Perhaps this store might have a chance at improving with the recent development of infrastructure around it and more traffic but for now it pretty much sucks. Bad music on the phone too with a system that doesn't even work properly. Trying to call the pharmacy will first get you hung up on, followed by a transfer to the front register. Third try usually gets you the pharmacist. Some employees are very helpful, others don't know where stuff is in the store. Only come here if it's necessary. read more

NEVER GO TO WALGREENS TO FILL A PRESCRIPTION.West Sacramento location. I will be contacting corporate for this. This is ridiculous. My Fiance DISLOCATED his knee potentially fractured and ripped tendons; got an XRAY, GOT A CT SCAN, he has a prescription given by SUTTER HOSPITAL for pain medication. We are waiting on the MRI now. In the mean time, he is in excruciating pain. Hence, the prescriptopn from SUTTER HOSPITAL. Walgreens decided that they were going to LIE and state they could not get a hold of the ER to verify a prescription that was already prescribed. They waited 3 days. My Fiance called the ER, mind you Walgreens has already taken this prescription paper so it's not like we can take it can go somewhere else...wel,l he got a hold of them IMMEDIATELY. THE ER STATED THAT WALGREENS never called. The prescription was never filled by Walgreens. They NEVER called the ER to get this verified. MY GUY IS IN PAIN. Are you JOKING ME?! My mother visited this location. Clerk and manager was extremely rude regarding the 6ft policy. My mother did not see the tape on the ground and clerk and manager were verbally abusive shouting and yelling store policy. Their behavior was unprofessional, attacking, yelling, belittling and abusive. Please consider letting these individuals go or provide continuing education on customer service skills. read more

The checkout service was the worst I've ever experienced. At least 12 people in line and only one register open. Not to mention the cashier was SOOO SLOOOOW! It took about 15min for the three people in front of us, and the sad part was only because of how slow and careless the cashier was.
