Unfortunately, the lines here are almost always long and the parking lot is usually packed, but that's because it's in a super popular shopping area with a lot of convenient places nearby (Golden 1, OrangeTheory, Quest Diagnostics, a gas station, UPS, Starbucks, Froyo, etc.). They also have an outdoor seating area, which is really nice. Around Independence Day, they even set up a firework stand in the parking lot. Bel Air definitely isn't the cheapest grocery option, but if you're already in the area, it's a very convenient stop, especially if you're running errands at the nearby shops. One downside is that they closed down one of the entrances, so there's only one way in and out now. I'm not sure why they did that, but I remember pre-COVID both doors were open, and parking felt a lot less frustrating. Now, no matter where you park, you end up having to walk all the way to the one working entrance. That said, I do appreciate that the store is usually fully stocked and well-organized, which makes it feel like they have enough employees on the floor. But for some reason, the cashier lines are still always long. Their balloon and flower selection is pretty limited, but I do like their Oriental and Hispanic sections, along with their bakery. The ice cream pies are actually pretty good, and they have a decent seating area near the bakery where you can grab coffee and sit either inside or outside. One of my favorite things is that they offer free fruit for kids. My daughter always looks forward to that the most, and it's a simple but great way to encourage healthy eating. They did this last year and I spoke with the manager to please not forget to make the cake. I come in at my pickup time and the workers can't find the cake. Then they offer to make it for next day pick up , I come in at 740am they have the name misspelled. Worst worst bakery ever. Its time to update because they have found more creative ways to give poor service. Came this weekend twice and there were NO shopping carts in the trough. Customers had to go out to the parking lot to get their own. I mentioned this to an employee and he ignored me and walked off instead of doing something about it. I walk in and There was a gal up front to promote their rewards program and next to her was a table of free samples of their butterscotch pears. I asked her the price. She says, "I don't know? they are right over there. Maybe there is a sign?" I didn't see one so I walked over to the self checkout and she tells me $6.99. I come back to find the sign on the other side of the display that says, $8.99 for Pears that was spelled completely wrong. I told her I found the sign but it had the wrong price. She did not care whatsoever nor did the other employee who was standing there bother to get that fixed. Had I seen the $8.99 price I would not have bought them but did for $6.99. Then went to check out with a young gal I never seen before and paid cash. OH boy. I suppose it is this generation but another cashier had to help her with the change and how to handle cash in general. Second time I went through self checkout and overheard a customer doing a return because she had just bought something that was rotten. No apology or shock. They just refunded her money. Probably complacency because I have found many items on the shelf moldy or expired with the same reaction when I bring it to their attention. Deli and bakery is terrible. They let you stand there and don't ask if you need help. Nor do they help each other out like, Let me get someone for you. Ordered a $400 catering tray over the holidays and the guy tells me I can't pick up before 10am when I have before. The work around is that they make it the night before but apparently he didn't know that. The only department that has good service is Meat and Chinese Hot food. The butchers are very kind and helpful and I usually don't wait long at either to be acknowledged. Prices here are minimum 20% higher so I expect better service or how about reasonable service? they don't even hit the minimum. This location is the busiest of all Raleys/Bel Air so its even a worse nightmare to go there but alas I do because it is conveniently close to home. I keep hoping there would be something better to open up nearby to make them step up their game because nothing else seems to. read more

This Bel Air continues to be the best grocery shopping experience near me. There's always space in the parking lot and the store is welcoming and well stocked. I've been able to easily navigate the sections to find what I need and they have a good variety of fresh produce, different brands and flavors of products, and some harder to find items. The checkout typically has a line, but with the self checkout and a couple regular check out lines available I haven't had to wait more than five minutes in line. The plaza also has some great options in it so if you're looking for coffee or lunch before or after you shop you'll have some good choices nearby. read more

I've been coming to this store for 10 years, and for the last few years, anytime I come, no matter what time of day, the checkout lines are so long they go down the grocery aisles. They have one person checking customers out and no one to help with the bags. With the long lines, they never have more than two checkouts open, even during the 5 o'clock rush. I don't know if it's a lack of employees or what, but I'm tired of turning what should be a 20-minute grocery experience into 40 40-minute one because they don't have enough people checking out or bagging. I'd rather drive farther to another store than sit in line. For the prices we pay, they should be able to add more employees, have plenty of carts waiting for customers to use and baggers asking to help take your bags to the car. read more

I shop my local grocery stores on a regular basis. I try and shop frequently so that I have the freshest of ingredients. I've come to love this Bel Air location. It reminds me of a high end farmers market/gourmet market. The produce section offers both organic and " regular" varieties of fruits, veggies, and often the more unique items, like Buddha's hand, passion fruit, etc The layout is easy to navigate, products are easy to locate, and shelves are kept stocked. I love the ease of the aisles, and the friendly staff, something that I don't always find at some of the other locations. I tend to shop this location because they stock a larger variety of ethnic foods, which makes cooking new and different dishes so much easier and fun. They carry a nice selection of fresh meats and poultry, and I've found some tasty Turkey bacon here. Parking is plentiful and easy. As far as supermarkets go, this is definitely one of the nicer ones in the North Natomas area. read more

This review is Raley's/Bel Air Corporate, but this is the store I frequent. I shop there MWF. Monday for $5 Mondays, Wednesday for the new Ad, and Friday for the Weekend. 1st they changed the rules for pump rewards. Even though I shop there 3 days a week, I don't get rewarded at the pump because I don't spend $100 per trip. I could spend $200 a week over my 3 days, but because it's not $100 in a day, no pump rewards. 2nd, and most infuriating, they launched a new UI/App. They screwed this thing up so bad, for weeks it wouldn't even load. Now that it kinda works, all they did was make hard, what was once easy. I will never understand changes for the sake of changes. What used to take me 3 clicks now is double if not triple. I like the people at this store, but the decisions from Corporate make me think they don't want my business. read more

I love how new, modern and upgraded this grocery store feels like when you walk in. The high ceilings really makes this space inviting. You're probably reading this and saying to yourself, "is she really eating a grocery store?" So to answer your wondering question, yes I think it's important to know where your shopping especially when it comes to the surrounding area. I don't shop and spend my hard earned money just anywhere. The aisles and shelves here at Bel Air seem to always be organized, stocked and clean. Also, it's nice to not have homeless people roaming the parking lot or in front of the front door entrance nope you won't find that here (compared to where I used to shop like Midtown or West Sac). This has been our neighborhood grocery since we moved to Natomas 7 years ago. It used to be a really nice store, but is now showing definite signs of age without much care being put into keeping things nice. The shopping carts are fewer in number and getting very wonky. The display showing how many checkout lanes are open and how many are needed stopped working. Coincidentally the checkout lines are now much longer, and there are rarely enough checkers. And as I stand in a checkout line, there are four lanes open and roughly 50 customers waiting on a Sunday afternoon, which is a predictable busy time. The floor needs to be cleaned. I came into the store today and was by the meat department and was greeted by Mitali; the new manager according to her name tag. She greeted me with a smile and asked if I had any questions or if I was looking for anything in particular. She was extremely knowledgeable and patient with my questions. I've shopped here on and off over the years and I really noticed how fresh the counter was and all the options! She's doing a great job from a customers standpoint. My family and I will definitely be back, and I will be telling my neighbors and friends to go see her for their meats! I would like to add, African American lady at self checkout should be nicer or maybe get trained on customer skills. She was watching us like we are stealing because of age I suppose?? I have been coming to this location for about a year now since moving to the area. I haven't ever been particularly impressed with any of the staff. Most of the checkers aren't very friendly, don't usually say hello, and oftentimes stand around gossiping between checking out customers. Most of them are younger people who don't say hello, and openly talk about others when customers are standing right there. I have often opted to do self-checkout to avoid the overall laziness and bad attitudes. Today was VERY different. KELSEY (not sure on spelling) but she has darker brunette hair, was very kind and attentive. She said hello, asked what bag type I would like, was efficient, and helpful. She smiled and was very pleasant. I haven't often wanted to write a positive review of this location but Kelsey changed my mind. I absolutely love the layout of the store especially the produce and deli area. It's wide open and it has signs for where the locally grown produce is. Bel Air is on the pricier side but it's easy to get in and out of the store which is sometimes worth the extra price. They have a great section of to go hot foods that are pretty tasty. I have shopped at Raleys & Belair for over 30 years. I'm officially firing Belair the customer service at the Arena Boulevard. Location is so piss poor I give negative stars if I could, this issue has been ongoing, and I called corporate twice to complain. Both times I never got a phone call back. I also attempted to discuss the poor customer service, the rotten, produce, outdated meat etc, and his response was that he told me to wait there, and then he never returned, this, after I specifically was emphatic that I wanted to speak with him. I've also complained to the produce clerk about the rotten produce, another ongoing problem. The response I got was "what do you want me to do about it?". Recently, I was trying to find a specific type of meat in the meat case, and there was none. The response I got from the butcher was "go look in the meat case", after I explained that there was none and asked if there was any in the back, in the vacuum, sealed containers that they arrive in and larger portions I was told that he couldn't give me that, this is an item I have purchased for years in the vacuum seal packs from the butcher at Belair. It is unfortunate for me that the store is the immediate convenience based on where I live in Westlake, I have spent on average well over $1500 a month at the store. I'm confident that my business will be welcomed at Whole Foods or Safeway or sprouts or Trader Joe's because Belair can kiss my ass. read more

Don't get me wrong... Bel air is FAR better than Safeway and equally as good as Raley's. I think the quality of food is better such as the produce, bakery, and even hot food section that includes Asian food such as chow mein, rice, etc. Also, the employees not only look better, but perform better especially at customer service. Employees at Bel Air are nicer and look like they actually want to work!! Bel air has a very clean and modern facility and it makes you want to shop for groceries. They have a great deli department with fresh meats and cheeses. They also have a gourmet hot sandwich department where they have a wide variety of sandwich selections. The bakery always has fresh good especially doughnuts, bagels, etc. They have a Petes coffee inside where u can grab a coffee. Also, they have a good floral department, pharmacy, and bakery... Which was soooooooo disappointing... I ordered a cake for my 18 year old cousin and it was a disaster... The cake was lopsided and looked like it was rushed... Very ugly and I couldn't give it to my cousin! I had to drive back and have them redo it... The next day I looked at it more carefully and it was better.... Also, the baker didn't know the difference between white and yellow cake! I told her my cousin wanted yellow cake but she said white is the same as yellow... Ah man!! Kidding me? BUT my favorite part of the Bel Air is the additional gas station and car wash!! The grocery store is neatly organized. Floor is well polished. The store is properly lit and stocked. Cant complain, in one condition. The floral section, its really hard to get someone to ask assistance regarding on some flowers, nor have to come answer my question with ease. Had to wait at least for over 5min... We moved to Natomas area 5 months ago and hubby and I are just starting to shop again since Covid. We have been using Instacart but I kind of miss picking out my own stuff. So we have shopped at Safeway and Raleys in Natomas and both stores are fine but super crowded and packed. Parking lots are nuts. Makes it kind of stressful. So today we found this Bel Air on Arena Blvd. Super close to home. This will be our go to store from now on. Clean, wide aisles and not crowded. We did go at 1030am so it might be a different story in the afternoons but we do our shopping early usually anyway. Everything was stocked well and looked fresh. Long time Raleys customer here. From Sacramento to Chico to Red Bluff we prefer the Raleys/Bel Air experience. Hopefully it will continue here in Natomas. read more

I stopped going here not long after Covd when a former employee told me about the company pushing out older employees to get younger newer one, because it was cheaper. I decided yesterday to go there because it is closer and near were I live. Not only were the prices really high on items. They didn't have much produce to choose from. the bok choy leaves were brown, cantaloupe was on sale but all were either really small or really soft, old. I bought milk that day and came home to find out it already expired. and it was Lactose free milk which has a month or longer expire usually. I used to see expired items on the shelf all the time. Makes me wonder if there still is. The first cashier I went to was talking to another worker and barely ringing and the products, some young guy. So I noticed another checker who was nice and quick. I would save your money and go elsewhere, if its not for selling expired food. They probably put back food that been sitting out, who know. People who work here don't seem to care. read more
