This was by far the worst Walgreens experience I've ever had. The pharmacists behind the counter were extremely rude and showed zero empathy or sense of urgency while helping customers. I came in trying to get my inhaler something I genuinely needed,and instead of receiving basic care or understanding, I was met with attitude and indifference. What made it even worse is that it wasn't just me. Every single person in line was treated with the same level of disrespect. It was especially upsetting to see older customers being spoken to so poorly. You're beyond improvement! Can't reach anyone to help you when you need your Rx's delivered because you're too sick to drive to the store to pick them up. All you get is a record ing when you call them saying they're out to lunch!! I had to have my MD's office re-write the and send them to another drugstore that would deliver. read more

This must be my least favorite Walgreens in Virginia Beach and this comes from a loyal customer to the pharmacy. Parking is adequate and they do offer a drive up window. The lot had debris on the perimeter and some on walk up and this is typical. The sign was blown over during a storm a few years ago and the top never replaced. I'm always reluctant to use them, but sometimes I need to when my regular has a issue with not stocking a prescription etc. On this visit I was looking for Saline. The store feels dirty and dated, they have put no money into any type of renovations for years. Upon attempting to locate my item I did run across a friendly staff. Unfortunately they were out of my item too! I'm in no rush to return and will continue using my regular Shore Drive, or Town Center locations. read more

Incredibly poor service and attitude at this location. They make you feel stupid for even setting foot in the store. Try and make an appointment, and see how that goes. Odds are you will show up and they will not have what they need, and behave like you should have known better. A courteous call to their patient to tell them they need to reschedule the appointment would be too much to ask. For those who may think that pharmacies are poised to play a major role in healthcare delivery, one appointment at this Walgreens will convince you otherwise. The irony is that AI could better manage service recovery, as they could be programmed with some level of fake sincerity, which this Walgreen's pharmacy employees don't even pretend to do. read more

If I could give this location, zero stars, I would. This is the slowest Walgreens I've ever been to in my life. In the time that it took me to get my prescriptions, we have gained civil rights, women's right to vote, the technology boom, and don't forget the industrial revolution. Zero stars. Told my mom "You're making us look bad". Claims that my medicine I take hydrocortisone is no longer able to be filled cause I don't take it anymore. Which is bullcrap. Hydrocortisone keeps me alive quite literally. Never has medicine ready when they claim it is. Always says "If it's on the truck". read more

Walgreens pharmacy doesnt seem to care. Every time I am sick. I have to wait anywhere from 4 to 13 hours for my medication. One time I had a UTI. The medication was sent over at 8 am. At 9 am when they opened i called and asked when it would be ready. They said noon. I came by at noon, they said one hour, then every hour until 4pm. 7 hours I had to suffer with a UTI before I got my medication. I currently have a sinus infection, my meds were sent over at 6:30pm yesterday. They did not work on it last night at all. This is just two examples of how unreliable Walgreens has become. There has been two more times with the same waiting times for meds. Time for a change. read more

My son broke the glasses that went to his Halloween costume so I needed to grab some nail glue to fix them. I was hoping for this to be a quick trip but I ended up waiting in line for quite a while and paying over $4 for a tiny bottle of nail glue. The cashier was very friendly and I could tell he was trying to get the line moving as quickly as possible. Finally, someone opened another line so the people that were waiting in line had the option to jump in the other line. The store was very clean and easy to navigate. read more

It pains me to even say what I have to say but I've had several poor customers service issues with the black staff members of this location. And I'm a black person myself...I've never had a poor customer service with the staff members of other races. The tech is the one with the worst attitude. She won't acknowledge you're standing there. Carries on conversations with other staff members instead of addressing customers. I only go to this location because it's closest to my residence. read more

It's so funny to me once you step into a Virginia Beach drugstore, you're bound to find some Virginia Beach tourist paraphernalia no matter how far away you are from the actual beach. Do not got to this pharmacy. My prescription ran out and I did not know it. It was on auto refill and I received a call that it was ready to be picked up. I went there to pick it up and they told me they could not fill it and that they would not do an emergency refill. They do not care about their customers health at all. read more

Last night I spent a couple hours making an appointment to get the Moderma booster. You have to fill out a form that asks for a lot of your medical history and personal information. In order to qualify for the booster you have to be at least 65 years old and have certain medical conditions which I qualify. Got to my appointment today with all of my paperwork and proof of medical conditions and after waiting for a few minutes the pharmacist told me that I could not get the vaccine because I needed a "note" from the doctor confirming my condition. Or a phone call. Even though she confirmed that I had the condition she still would not give me the vaccination. Their website did not say that I had to have anything from my doctor. They should not have let me go through the motions of filling out the info and making and appointment without saying I needed a note from my doctor. She said it was for my safety! What a crock Of crap. read more

I always go to Walgreens because it just happens to be near my apartment complex despite the fact that some of their products is kinda priced high. No longer will I buy from them after tonight. So I always purchase my tobacco products here, and I always show my ID despite the fact than I'm 49 years old, but tonight they took it too far when they also asked my wife to show her ID for me to purchase my cigarettes. What?? Their reason was that anybody with me gets carded as well. So that means if I bring my 2 year old grandson in he too much show ID? This is fucking ridiculous and crosses many boundaries. This is one of those things where is no longer about doing the right thing, but controlling people. Enough is enough and I'm just going to make sure nobody else buys from them! read more

I love Walgreens. I don't know why, I just do. Not a lot to say though, it's a drug store. They have a good selection and fair prices.

Walgreens is a good store, usually clean and the staff is friendly. Had to get some digital photos printed, did it online, easy to do.

Pharmacy staff is rude. Not helpful. Laughing and telling my husband his insurance lapse and he would have to pay the full amount! So the next day he brought in the new insurance card. They didn't know how to enter the prescription card correctly. My husband and son have the same name. They were using my husbands information with my sons code number. I called them to tell them this since I called my prescription company and they could see the pharmacist was keying it wrong. So I called them -nothing done about it. Didn't even retry it. Telling me she placed a ticket because it's not working on the back end. My husband probably would not get his medicine til Monday. Took my Buisness to CVS the same day and the associate there figured out the problem in 5 minutes. Got all of his prescriptions filled no problem. I will be changing my prescriptions to CVS. read more

We just recently moved near this WALGREENS on Independence. Very clean drugstore and very friendly staff but what impressed me the most is the Pharmacist (Ms. Fumi) who went ABOVE & BEYOND to help me..... found coupon for me to help me afford my husband's Rx but above all her compassion!! Pharmacists are very busy filling meds for everyone but she helped me and devoted her time making sure I acquired what I needed!! Never have I experienced such generosity, patience and compassion!!
