The Walgreens in Troutman, NC is terrible for customer service. After being ignored waiting at the counter for a couple of minutes, I was told the prescription had just come in and it would take an hour to fill. We used to use this pharmacy, but had switched to a family run pharmacy instead. This made me remember why we stopped using them years go. The only reason I was using this pharmacy again was because my doctor is literally right down the street. I thought it would be faster than driving to my family pharmacy. I was wrong. The pharmacy close's at 8pm sharp, my daughter had a double ear infection and we left urgent care at 7:42 arriving at Walgreens at 7:59 only to find out the scrip from the doctor didn't come through yet. I left and was driving down Main Street, I get a call from the pharmacist (who should be off already) the script just came in and to hurry back. At this point it is 8:10. I turned around and they had it waiting for me. He didn't have to do that for me and my daughter but he did. Thank you sir for going above and beyond my daughter's ears appreciate you. read more

Pharmacy is lacking. You get texts, etc. telling you your meds are ready. You call, and the automated message tells you they are ready. You go there and they are not ready. They tell you meds are on back-order, but you go to Walgreens 30 miles away, and they have it and fill it within minutes. Something is wrong with this picture, and it's been this way since they took over Kerr Drug. Based on what I've observed from waiting around for meds, I'm not the only one frustrated with this location. read more

When we moved to town a few years ago, we hoped to transfer our pharmacy needs to Kerr. We wanted to support a small town business. That was four years ago. We have yet to find a reason to transfer our prescriptions here and only come here for meds as a last resort. While the rest of the store and staff are fine, the Rx always has a long wait, the few times we've had to use them have resulted in inaccurate insurance filings and rude pharmacists. I've been on Yelp nearly two years and so rarely go to this store that it is just now that I was reminded to write a review. Tonight I asked the pharmacist about converting a dosage on an OTC supplement. I work in healthcare but wanted to be sure my math was right (I will be the first to admit math is NOT my strong point.) The pharmacist said I was wrong and scolded me for trying to OD my kid. I informed him that I am giving my child the doctor recommended dosage and he argued w/me. Let's review: 1000mcg = 1mg I need 1mg He sells 300mcg Thus, I need 3 pills just to come close to 1mg. He said I would be giving my kid 3x the adult dosage. The adult dosage is 3-5mg. See my problem? I am not Steven Hawking but I know that pharmacist is NOT someone I want dosing my meds. read more

If I could give zero stars I would, my child takes a certain medication I order it 3-5 days in advance to make sure they have it in stock or ordered when its time to refill, every single month it's the same problem with this place they never order the medication at all or make excuses, today I called 2 hours before I came to pick up my sons important prescription they tell me it will be ready when I come to pick it up I arrive after the 2 hours and they tell me that it's not ready that I can wait I say ok I then wait they come back and tell me that the medication is on back order, told them the lady I spoke to 2 hours prior was a liar for telling me it would be ready and they then got an attitude with me about it, I will be pulling my entire families prescriptions from Walgreens all together since they r all slack and make excuses all the time for every medication that has to be ordered, horrible service and horrible people with horrible attitudes read more

Sorry service.Waited over twenty five minutes with only two cars ahead,gave up and ran an errand.Came back nobody was in line ,drove up to the window waited over seven minutes and still never got waited on. There were no customers in the store getting prescriptions.I gave up and drove off,I will not go back! I don't recommend this drugstore ever. read more

Well first time shopping here since recently moving to Troutman and it will be the last. Standing in line for over 20 minutes just to ask a question concerning drug interactions with an over the counter cough medicine and the prescription drugs my son takes. read more
