I've known about this place for sometime now and even posted an exterior shot from when I was driving around looking for another place with a footnote to come back some time. Don't know what I was expecting but I walked into a very nice convenience store and it the back, a very nice Cafe, tastefully decorated and a full kitchen that could serve a much larger space. Not an expansive menu but from what i could tell, the emphasis was on quality and not the number of menu items offered. You walk in and follow the signs to the counter and after reviewing the menu, you place your order and then you pay. If you are dining in, you come back and grab a table till your number is called. If it's take out, you come back and pick it up. Looked over the lunch menu and a couple of things looked good. Breakfast menu looked very good as well.The lady at the counter asked me about todays special which was a Chicken Fried Steak Sandwich with Honey Mustard which sounded good. For a side, I had the potato salad. Place my order,paid and in short order my number was called and I picked it up at the Counter. Looked good and when I bit it, it was as good as it looked. Steak was nicely cooked and while I was a bit leary of the Honey Mustard, it turned out to be a nice compliment. The Potato Salad was excellent with a bit of a tang from the mustard used in it but not overpowering with a nice taste and texture. A bit hidden and not well marked on I-77 but it's the at the Tomlin Mill Exit North of Statesville on the west side of the interchange. Worth giving in a try.

Kinda confusing since after the rebrand they never posted a menu so you have to assume they stuck with the old menu. Also kind of misleading because the prices on this old menu do not reflect the current price. The prices I paid for 2 western omelets and 2 orders of "extra crispy" hash browns was $10 more than what the menu says. When I picked it up, I walked in, paid, and waited. And waited. From phone call to food in the window was almost 30 minutes. Seemed a bit much for an omelette. Now for the food. Omelette was ok, felt like it took a while for me to find anything that came inside the omelette besides eggs. Last time I ordered the hash browns here, they seemed like they were shredded and microwaved. So I ordered them extra crispy this time. And while I guess they were more brown than last time, I would hardly even called these fully cooked let alone extra crispy. Pretty disappointing. Probably will make it myself next time.

My wife fusses about it but the Audi was showing estimated range of 10 miles when we passed Harmony. The Valero which normally has great prices on gas was only one more exit down. Pulled in and all the pumps had plastic bags over the nozzles Houston, looks like we have a problem Got back on the road and by the time we went another 6 miles, Audi range said 0 and I'm willing to pay anything for gas. Pulled into the 7-Eleven which is just off the Interstate and filled up. Their gas prices were the lowest I have seen anywhere locally While I filled up, wife went inside to use the restroom and get snacks and her comment was the service was great. Try to avoid gas stations just off the interstate because they tend to take advantage of the situation but not the case here. On I-77 in NC, consider the 7-Eleven at exit 54. Limited experience with this location but this one was definitely positive.

They had a big board blocking the urinal because it was out of order. The bathroom smelled like it has not been cleaned. Hot water did not work. No soap in the wall mount. The did have a little individual soap pump in which they diluted with water. I did get a pop and snack. Everything was very poorly stocked. The little self service food area many things were out of order and even if not given the state of the store I would not use. The store kind of smelled like smoke. It doesn't seem like much has changed in a year from other people's reviews. If you have to stop for a restroom break do not stop here.
