So as I am shopping there tonight a man walked right by me in the make-up aisle with two boxes. Small, medicine type sized boxes. He proceeds to the door and walks out and the theft scanner thing goes off. NO ONE does a thing. Not the cashier, not the lady stocking the make-up aisle, not the manager on duty. I yell to the cashier and the lady stocking that the man just stole something. Still NO ONE does a thing. So a lady checking out and myself follow the man outside and get the tag number off the vehicle he is getting into. I tell them again, "this man just walked out with something." They finally get the manager who does not even come speak with me, who says "they" can't do anything about it. So after my purchase, I go find the manager and ask him why they are not pursuing this. He states,"Well I didn't see him take it." REALLY...............? Me and another paying customer just witnessed this and you can do nothing about it? Again I tell him I saw him with two items and he walked out without paying. They have security cameras, two people who witnessed this and they are doing nothing. This is why Walgreens is too expensive and I no longer will be a customer. It is disgusting that we have a society where people know they can walk into a certain store, steal whatever they please, walk out calmly and get away with it. I have a feeling this person who stole these items has done this before at this exact location. He was not in a hurry, did not run, calmly walked out the door to a parked vehicle, where the driver had to get out and lift up the drivers seat for him to get into the backseat and slowly drove off. read more
