One of the pharmacists, Shannon, always goes the extra mile when I have a question or concern. She is friendly, professional, and puts the customer first. After a few Rx's filled, she knew me by name, and treated me like a valued customer. This just isn't something you get from the big box store pharmacies. The only draw-back is the limited hours; however, I gladly trade that small bit of inconvenience for the high level of customer service and personal attention I receive at the Meriden Pharmacy. They have a small selection of OTC drugs, among other items, which may require a trip to a bigger store in Topeka; however, they will gladly order items in for their customers as well.

Y'all this is a convenience store/ gas station off I-70 with literally nothing around it that has a…read morecollective five star rating on Yelp. Let that sink in for a moment before I begin this review. Some background: I've been frequenting this rest stop ever since I met my husband (then boyfriend) back in 2012. His family lives in central Kansas and this stop is **roughly** halfway between KC and where most of them live. We both have always agreed that it's a solid store and likely the best one in eastern Kansas, before you hit bigger cities that have QTs available. It was a record breaking cold day the last time I was here with my family and we stopped as per usual for a quick restroom break and to pick up a bottle of water or two before continuing on our journey west. As is has been every other time I've been here over the past decade, it was clean, the folks working courteous, the bathrooms well stocked, and plenty of snacks and beverages to choose from. So, what makes this place 4 instead of 5 stars you might ask? Just a few small things: 1. they only carry one brand of sparkling water and are often out of it. That's my number one request at any rest stop these days and on my last visit here I snagged the very last bottle, I'm sure to someone else's dismay. 2. It's a great convenience store/ gas station but it just can't compare to the kings in this category like WaWa and QuikTrip. I will say though, what sets this spot from the others is consistency. This stop has come through for me on many occasions and I'm sure will continue to do so for years to come.

Gas sucks, I filled up at Philip 66 and with a full tank got 400 miles, when I filled up here full tank I got 250 miles. Don't go here. Spend your money somewhere better. Huge wholesale fan of Costco and Sams. The reviews are mainly based on locations and the…read moreexperiences at each particular location. First off, my favorite Sams is off 135th Antioch in Overland Park, Kansas. I just happen to be closer to the Topeka, Ks Sams Club more often. The location is usually a nightmare to access during the busy hours on any given day. Traffic is horrendous and that's putting it kindly! The set-up is kind of cool with Sam's and a gigantic Walmart SuperCenter sharing an entire plat of land along Wanamaker Road. Easily park in between the buildings of the two giants and shop at both locations without moving your vehicle. In fact, sort of reminds me of the old Hyper-Mart area off bannister road in south Kansas City Missouri back in the day. The Topeka Sams Club has a different interior set-up compared to most locations. Not as big/sprawling as many others. Selection is somewhat limited or what they do have is on a smaller scale. The freezer section is definitely smaller as is the health and beauty section. Hard to explain, but this Sam's just doesn't have that huge warehouse layout with a dizzying array of products around every corner and isle of the club. Overall, would rather have a smaller Sams Club vs no Sams Club at all in this region of Kansas. If Costco ever expanded into Topeka Kansas, the Wanamaker Sam's Club would have to change up and expand, or it could be in big trouble for long haul.

I mean, hot dog and drink for $1.38? Yes.... indeed! They have excellent pizza and pretzels, too. We buy our paper goods here; toilet paper and paper towels. We are only a family of 2 so buying food in bulk isn't for us but comparing their prices to Walmart, if you have a large family especially with kids, this really is a bargain in comparison. Staff is always nice here.

If you compare Sally's to this place, these guys are better. Not only do they have a great selection, their prices are MUCH lower. As an example, a bottle of Wella toner at Sally's is $9.99... here, it's $6.99. Also, the smallest bottle of crème developer at Sally's is $4.49; here, the much larger 16flOz bottle is just $2.99.
