I am 6 months out from eyelid and facelift surgery. I waited this long to give everything a chance to "resolve". At this point, my opinion is that my facelift is just NOT worth it. Although Dr. Peterson and his staff are terrific, I'm unhappy with the outcome. The first 2 months was very intense and everything was done according to Dr. Peterson's very precise protocol. However, any concerns I was having with regard to how things looked and felt were put aside with the assurance that things would resolve over time. When I complained of lack of sensation, the doctor's reaction seemed to be one of surprise. I have since researched and found that numbness and lack of sensation are not uncommon. My ears are still numb as are the borders of my face and most of my neck. I don't know if I will ever get used to this lack of feeling. (Fortunately, there is no problem with the motor nerves.) I still hope that somehow sensation will return over time, but, based on my research, that seems unlikely. Also, at just 6 months out, the skin under my chin has already started to droop again. Just weeks after surgery, my profile was very nice. The doctor was very pleased about it and so was I. However, when you invest this much money and go through the surgical ordeal that is a facelift, you expect it to last years. Furthermore, the sagging is uneven, one side drooping more than the other. There is also a strange unevenness around my mouth. The center of my upper lift no longer meets up with the center of my lower lip. I have tried exercise over the last few months to correct this. It has only helped a little. The skin on one side is simply pulled tighter than on the other. I had been wanting a facelift for years and perhaps my expectations were unrealistic. The eyelid surgery turned out pretty well (if it lasts a while), but I regret the facelift. I still don't feel that I've recovered from it yet, because the constant numbness and weird way my lips meet remind me every day that things just aren't "normal". I want my face to feel normal. This experience has definitely wiped out my desire for any other cosmetic procedures. I do think Dr. Peterson is a good surgeon, very meticulous. If someone is determined to have cosmetic surgery, I would recommend him. I'm just using this review to let others know that it might not be the result that you anticipate, and you have to live with it regardless. read more

Dr was professional, but very cold bedside manner. I had complications during surgery and had to go back in, making one breast smaller than the other. Also, the reduction did not make my breasts small just smaller. One breast is completely full of scar tissue making my mammograms unbearable and very painful. It took 8 months for my scars to heal, my surgery was two years ago and I still have pain. The office also called trying to solicit services for other things such as facelifts saying they had a sake that month. Who has a sale on medical procedures???? read more
