We have been using English Plaza for close to 15 years. They have never let us down. I want to say…read moreI am a local RN that works with post operative surgery and I see and deal with other pharmacies (mostly the bigger named ones) that straight up refuse to fill short term prescriptions for our patients. They say they do not have the medications then refuse to transfer e-filed scripts. After speaking to the pharmacists at English plaza about this situation they informed me that they would do whatever was necessary to make sure our patients got their meds they needed post op. I personally am required to use CVS mail order for meds, but choose to pay out of pocket to fill here instead. Dealing with them is like heaven compared to these chains that you can't even get to answer the phone.

While the girls who usually check you out are friendly, the fact that my prescriptions (which are…read moreescribed) are never filled makes me rethink this place. There is a reason that those are sent in. Fill them. Don't wait for me to come in (8 hours after the script is sent in) and say "Oh yeah. I see it. It shouldn't take but 15 minutes to fill it. Do you want to wait?" No. I don't. I've been at work all day. I stopped by on my way home, wrongly assuming that the pharmacy was doing its job filling scripts when they hit the inbox. My new scripts will go to a new pharmacy. This has happened 3 times too many.

However, Village Pharmacy is less than a mile from my home and I pass by it at least twice a day. I have gone to Village Pharmacy several times to pick up various items, get covid shots etc. The staff are super friendly and accommodating. Plus they are a private local pharmacy and I like the idea of keeping my money in my community. Not sure if they will be cheaper than my present pharmacy, but paying a little extra to keep the money in our community might be worth it. Will have to put this on my "to do list" this year.

These folks were nice and service was quick. I was doing this for about 8 months until our pharmacy close to home finally got my medicine back in stock. 2 months later they are out again and now these folks won't fill for me anymore. I was using my health insurance and everything, honest and upfront about the situation and there is absolutely no reason to refuse service to me. The real reason behind it is I only take 2 medications because I am otherwise healthy. If I had several they would have had no problem with it. But my 2 medications are apparently not adequate business to treat me like a person. Very sad hopefully this saves someone else the time and trouble.
