Where to begin: pharmacy is nuts. I used to pick up my meds from there due to convenience but it's no worth it. They say your prescription is ready but it never is. Lines are ridiculously long just for them to say its not ready even when you got a text saying it was. Now onto the store, there is a very rude employee named Keith, he is so so rude. I always say hi and be courteous and say "have a good day." He never says a thing to me. I don't know what kind of vendetta he has but it needs to stop. No one deserves to be ignored. read more

If you're like me, you've read bad reviews on Walgreens stores and partially laughed it off because they are largely nonsensical and/or illegible. Let me make it clear: Walgreens doesn't even deserve one star in a review. Today I went to pick up a prescription. First mistake: using the drive-thru. We'll ignore the nosy lady in the adjacent lane with her eyes glued to me as I read off my phone number and get straight to the main issue: the pharmacy here is painfully slow. I spent more than a half hour there, with only one car ahead of me. (The lane closest the store was longer but four cars made it through before I made it to the window at all) Once at the window, a frantic and confused man took my insurance card and remarked that I gave him the wrong card as he needs an insurance card. I calmly explained that the card I handed him was indeed an insurance card, and he replied that he needed to speak to his manager. Five minutes later he returns to tell me there was an issue with my insurance and it'll take time to resolve, (24 hours after the prescription was sent to them) but after running my card again it went through immediately. He then of course tells me to come back later, because they're short-staffed and it'll take time to fill my prescription. He couldn't give me an estimate on this timeframe. Thankfully I won't die waiting for this prescription, because I now don't have it for today and possibly future days as well. I should've saved myself the trouble and had the prescription shipped across town to my old pharmacy near my old address. This place simply isn't worth the headache. read more

Another unbelievably incompetent and irresponsible experience with the Walgreens on Main Street in Springfield, Oregon. I've been using the Walgreens Pharmacies for 40 years. I've always been more than satisfied with the way they've taken care of me until I moved to Springfield, Oregon. Since my move here 2.5 years ago, I've had a steady stream of the worst care for my prescriptions in my entire life, and I'm sincerely not being dramatic when I use that very old "entire life" time frame phrase. I actually hate that phrase, but it fits this situation perfectly. My most recent nightmare experience with this Walgreens happened this morning. Since this Walgreens has business hours actually worse than banking hours, I had to wait for them to open at 10:00 am. That is correct. They don't even begin to dispense medications until most people that work for a living are having their morning coffee break. Even banks open earlier than 10:00 am on a Monday morning. So, I arrive at the drive through at 9:50 to get my place in the long line of cars that are ALWAYS there unless you arrive at 5:55 pm right before they close at 6:00 pm. As a frame of reference, every Walgreens I've ever used prior to this ragtag outfit is open either late in the evening or their open 24 HOURS. Am I missing something here? So when they finally open their window at 10:01 am, I'm greeted by yet another new face I've never seen before. They must roll through employees like toilet paper . It was always reassuring to see a familiar face at the other Walgreens I used to frequent. I give the new face my info to pick up medication, so I can begin the horrendous process of the clear liquid diet and cleansing 24 hours before my dreaded colonoscopy. I'm not exactly in the most chipper of moods given my current state of hunger and stress awaiting my medical procedure where you get to feel violated and the offender doesn't even by you dinner first! So the new face looking at me through the window of this cracker jack Walgreens starts reading aloud from her computer screen and through the babbling I hear the words, OUT OF STOCK. With utter fading hope and disbelief, I ask her why I wasn't notified that they don't have the stuff which makes you run to the bathroom every 30 to 60 minutes prior to the derriere in the air procedure I was so not looking forward to tomorrow morning. She says to me, Did you call us? Yes folks, she actually said that to me. With a bit of shock and awe, my response was, No. Why would I call you to see if you were out of stock for a prescription that was confirmed for pickup? She replies, Well, we always send you an email if a prescription is out of stock. I say, Well, had I received an email, I wouldn't have driven 25 minutes to sit here in line for another 20 minutes for something you don't have, Now would I, and what am I supposed to do now when I should already have this, makes you loose poop a lot, medication in my system before my scheduled colonoscopy in the morning? She looks at me with a childlike wonder and replies, I don't know. So I now am loosing my already fractured composure. Her boss comes to the window. The two of them are looking at each other and smiling as if I'm some sort of amusement for them to help get them through their Monday morning blahs. The boss man leans into the microphone and says to me with the stale smile he was sharing with new face employee, that he will not help me if I'm raising my voice. I just have to write that at this point in time, I wanted to do a lot more than raise my voice. I drove off with nothing except for the knot in my stomach and a string of profanities in my mouth! When I got home, I called the facility where I was having my colonoscopy in the morning and canceled my procedure because I couldn't get the medication they had prescribed for me that was necessary before arriving. I had to reschedule my dreaded violation for three weeks later. Just what I wanted to do, wait a few weeks and get myself mentally and physically prepared for this epic experience all over again. The parking lot was absolutely filthy. Looked like homeless piles of crap that had been lying around for awhile. Garbage in flower beds and trash right up on side walk. I had my husband and my 5 year old granddaughter. I asked my husband to drop us off at the front door as I was not comfortable walking through the parking lot. The guy working inside was nice and I was going to ask him about the filthy conditions outside but he had a stool he sat on behind the counter. I figured he had mobility issues, so I did t say anything. Came out door seen husband had parked in front of the store. Went to get in the car with granddaughter and there was a dead rat in the parking lot we had to step over to get in the car. Never again. River road Wal Greens is just as nasty with the dumpsters being unsecured and trash thrown about everywhere. Done with this shit hole. read more

Truly the pharmacy at this location is so poorly run, you would be better off considering a better run business. 1 hour long wait times, sometimes longer. Went in today after leaving yesterday after waiting 30 minutes, only to discover that my prescription was still not filled and would require me to wait another 45 minutes if I wished to. Wrong dosages, require 5mg of one type and they issue me 2.5. Supposed to receive 30 days and they issue me 15. Honestly can't take anymore of the ineptness, or the long waits. read more

My go-to Walgreens! I've never had a problem there and staff was always nice and welcoming. The Pharmacy staff helped me deal with insurance issues when a prescription was not approved. When Bi-mart transferred pharmacy clients to Walgreens there was a bit of delay for a while, but that was a management and staffing issue in my opinion, and not a reflection of the staff that shows up to work and serves us. read more

This is the worst pharmacy I have EVER gone to. our prescriptions are rarely ready on time. They told me to stop using the App to "refill" my prescriptions because it "doesn't work" and that I needed to call to request refill, but I have sat on the phone on hold for over 2 hours prior to a pharmacy tech answering the phone, being rude and hanging up on me. And beyond that, last month I had a prescription that I needed to pick up and they had already delayed me 2 days without my medication but when I get there THE PHARMACY WAS CLOSED at 230, the PHARMACIST HAD LEFT FOR THE DAY. No one could help me get my medication that now I was going to be 3 days without It. the drive through line and the line inside are always 1.5hr waits at a minimum. I would LOVE to switch pharmacies but I have to be able to get ahold of the pharmacy in order to leave them!!! read more

The only reason i am giving this a two-star and not a one-star is Danielle, who seems to be the only effective employee at this pharmacy. On Saturday my dr. Called in an rx. You would think that if my dr were calling in a script on a saturday i probably needed it but instead of filling it, they put it on file. When i called monday to check on it, they said it wasnt filled but they would fill it, it would be ready in an hour. When i went to pick it up on Tuesday it wasnt ready, of course. It was still on file. So they tell me they will fill it (for the second time now) along with an RX for my dog. When i go to pick it up on saturday in the drive thru, the tech rings me up, holds my purchase and debit card hostage so i cant leave and tells me to wait for the pharmacist, walks away and never comes back. Why?!? I dont need to talk to the pharmacist Ive been on the med for myself for over 2 months and my dogs med ive been getting for two years. I wait patiently for a few minutes while i watch the pharmacist continue to verify other prescriptions. Take a drink of water, bullshit with his staff, wash his hands, verify more prescriptions. Finally after waiting almost 10 minutes, he comes over and asks me if i have any questions which i don' t bc ive been taking the medicine for two months. He hands me the rx's and my debit card and i leave, effectively making me wait an extra 10 minutes for LITERALLY NO REASON. Thanks Everett for wasting my time and for caring nothing about the customers who are the reason you have a job. This utter disregard for patients is obviously why walgreens is killing people. (If you werent aware, check out the lawsuit against walgreens for killing a 19 year girl bc they never followed through on a prior authorizatuon for a seizure medication.) I worked for walgreens for 8 years as a pharmacy tech. Its not a difficult job. Get it together. Service here is literally the worst. For the record, neither of the scripts i was picking up are controlled substances and both came from local doctors. I am not irritated i had to wait, i am irritated at the ineffectiveness of employees to do their job or to give a #%## about the people who effectively keep them employed. read more

This pharmacy is consistently behind in filling prescriptions and is severely understaffed. If your doctors office sends over a prescription they won't even start filling it unless you go to the counter and say your there to pick up your prescription. Even if you receive a notification stating your prescription is ready for pick up there is a high likelihood it won't be ready. The only things slower than this pharmacy is walgreen's online pharmacy. read more

I would not even give them one star if there was an option. Called my prescription in two days before needed. Went to pick it up after giving them two days to fill and they said it was not ready and would be 30-45 min. Sat and waited and got so angry I thought it best to leave before I exploded on someone. Talked to the woman sitting next to me who was in tears after waiting for 2-1/2 hours for her pain prescription that she obviously needed. after leaving I called to see if the prescription was ready. 2 hours later and it was still not ready! I do not blame the pharmacist or the counter people but management needs to do something about this. This is just shameful! Oh I forgot to mention that they are closed on Saturday and Sunday so I guess I will have to wait until Monday. Good thing my condition is not life threatening. I thought about having the prescription transferred to another pharmacy, not Walgreens, but they don't answer the phone to do a transfer! Walgreens Pharmacy really does not care about their customers. How do I know? Because, they will just come out tell you that. I got switched to Walgreens because BiMart sold out to these bums. I gave them a chance and plenty of time to fill my blood pressure meds and they fell flat on their face. I waited in line for over 1-1/2 hours and the pharmacist said they would call the doctor to have the prescription transferred. 2 weeks later and almost out of meds, I called find out the status of my prescription and I am told they did nothing. I wish I could give negatives stars. This is for the pharmacy only: rude, incompetent, and nasty spirited. Completely unhelpful pharmacy staff. I've been trying to get refills completed since November and keep being told "your doctors office hasn't responded." I know in fact they have, numerous times. Today, I finally drove to my doctors office and got physical copies of the prescriptions because I was so tired of hearing that the pharmacy wasn't getting a callback from my doctors office. Again, I know that is not true. I took the prescriptions in tonight stood in line, finally get to the front, only for them to tell me they were closed. I said all I wanna do is drop these off you can sell them whenever, and they refused to take the prescriptions. I tried to explain I'd been working on this for over two months now, and all I wanted is to drop them off for WHENEVER they can fill them. Nope. Completely rude and unresponsive, and took zero responsibility. Also, the pharmacy staff cannot figure out how to merge two accounts that were created in my name, as they messed something up when I first moved here. Just had a positive Covid test and have prescription meds being sent but realize that we don't trust the 58th& Main branch of Walgreens to perform in a crunch, so we had it sent to the Walgreen Q street pharmacy. Reasons are botch up prescription refills, after their system has called us to say they'll be ready by a certain time. The staff acts like their automated system isn't at all reliable, and they are coldly unsympathetic to customers for those internal problems. On the phone with them more than once for a long time. Once for over an hour and then they hung up on me without a human ever answering. It's a pain, but will need to get another pharmacy for our future needs. read more

The store itself is great but the pharmacy is absolutely awful. I sat in the drive thru waiting to pick up a prescription for almost two hours with only one person ahead of me that I didn't witness have any interaction with a Walgreens member until I had been in the drive through for well over an hour. Ten cars MINIMUM in total have waited with absolutely no help for just as long if not longer than I have. Simple piece of advice is to not have a drive through if it's only purpose is making people get stuck for hours with no way to leave. At least make it an option to get out if there is going to be no service given. Not everybody has the time to sit around all day waiting for something that they had SCHEDULED to pick up. read more

I went in at about 12 this afternoon and stood in the pharmacy line for 30 minutes to ask the couple questions I had. When I got up to the counter the lady working was extremely rude and had a horrible attitude, she was very short with her answers and practically shooed me away. When I got home the information she told me was not correct and not working so I called the pharmacy and was on hold for about 40 minutes ( not too bad ) and as soon as it was my turn in the que I was hung up on. I then proceeded to call back and have been on hold for an hour and 15 minutes only for them to hang up on me again. I understand how busy they are and how many calls they probably get a day but that is no excuse to be rude and to hang up on their customers. I will never shop here again. read more

I have had issues with the Walgreens Pharmacy. They have to choose greed over there customers. They could at least figure out a better way to test then through the outside pickup line. Try setting up a tent outdoors would be my suggestion. It takes 45 minutes or more for the Pharmacy outdoor pickup. What's worse you can go inside and stand in line for an hour. The Photo Center: If you need a passport photo, DO NOT GO TO WALGREENS!! First of all, when you walk into the store and head toward the photo center, you can see that passport photo is one of the services offered, but there is no price listed. Then, 2 pictures are taken. Then you wait for your photo to be manipulated. That's right. They actually photoshop white all around your head so that the background is more white than the white screen you stand in front of to have your picture taken. What this means is, your head may be a bit of an odd shape. While asking about their process, the photographer told us, Walgreens uses a cheap camera so that's the reason for the need to photoshop. I seriously was shocked when we went to pay and it was $30 for two of us to get passport photos! Then to make the whole experience as bad as it could get, our next stop was Costco. ARGH! FOUR passports photos for $5.99!!!! read more

Even when using the app to refill my prescriptions and setting a pick up time for several days out, my prescriptions are never ready on time, it's always a 30+ minute wait. The pharmacist with the beard is the best pharmacist ever! Any time I have a new prescription he is so helpful and answers all of my questions. I can even call a few days after my fill if any side effects come up and he's always so kind. This pharmacy is one of the busiest I've ever been to, but the staff is amazing. The girl with the dark hair also gives me great customer service as well. I have no complaints at all about this place. Maybe it's because I'm not a drug seeker filling controls that makes the staff nice to me. Or maybe it's because I understand that they're busy and I can't have my stuff in five minutes. The others must have done something really wrong or wanted something illegal to post something so disgruntled. This place is the best. :) The staff has so much hospitality it reminds me of my Midwestern roots. Here's some context for the pharmacist haters: having prescriptions written by doctors far away from you is a red-flag. Sometimes it's a legit reason, more often it's not. People often drive long distances to doctors who write controls with no questions asked so they can abuse them. These are called "pill mills." Controls are often triple or quadruple counted because every individual pill must be accounted for by state and federal laws. It's also the pharmacy's business why you had a procedure done and why you had to drive so far because it's their duty to determine if your prescription was written within the doctor's scope of practice. I was a pharmacy technician for seven years. There's laws to follow and the fact that the bearded pharmacist is ethical makes me trust him even more. read more

Alteration's couldn't fill one of my mom prescriptions after her radiation treatment so they reached out to Walgreen's next door and they worked so hard for us to get it filled that night. We got in from Portland at 8 so we didn't have much time but Walgreens hustled to get it filled. She was in so much pain but because of the effort from both pharmacies she rested much easier that night. I will never forget their motivation to help my mom. Worst pharmacy I've ever used. They will not pick up phones if you call or they will pick it up and put you on a extended hold without even asking what you need. I actually drove there while on hold, waited in line, got what I needed and was still on hold the whole time and they only had 4 people waiting in line This is a management/ leadership issue.... all incompetent and do not respect that the customers keep them in business and their jobs. I dropped off an Rx and was told it wouldn't be ready for an hour and a half. Not a complicated Rx, either. An antibiotic. Came back an hour and 45 minutes later only to be told to go back through the drive thru line so they could fill it. Really!? I will NEVER be giving my prescription business to them again. I would have spent less time and anguish driving over to my local Target where the employees are awesome and they fill the prescription in less time than it takes me to sit through a commercial break. I have had them not give full amount of meds and when i took it in the manager made it right. Also with the exception on one pharmacy a women one who is no longer there. I agree with Kevin. I do not like the one pharmacist he is talking about. The guy is a jerk, no personality, very rude, doesn't smile, seems he hates his job. I wanted to complain about him once and found out he is the manager of that pharmacy. I've had several bouts with him. One time my prescription was short by about 10 pills, he would not even listen to me as I questioned that maybe its a mistake on their part, he made it sound like I was the reason I ran out of them so soon or my family took some of them. Whatever! Then last Nov I had surgery and was prescribed several meds for after surgery, one was Oxycodone, it was a prescription from a Portland Dr. This guy questioned me about why its from Portland and why I needed it. None of his business as to my procedure and to question why it was from Portland. I chose a Portland doctor you idiot. Anyway, the pharmacist is horrible as well as their customer service. I too need to change where I get my prescriptions. The Pharmacist at Walmart is so nice and always smiling and happy...I may just start going there! read more

Horrible service. I was prescribed a 30 day supply of Claritin-D. When I went to pick up the order, they said they only had a 20 day supply available and that I could pick up the rest in a few days. When I returned a few days later, I was told that I was just given a 20 day supply 3 days before so I should still have 17 days worth left. I informed her that my original prescription was for 30 days so I wanted to pick up the rest of my original 30 day supply since it was allergy season. She informed me that Claritin was a controlled substance. I answered and said that it was controlled only in Oregon but it was not a narcotic. My prescription was for 30 days and if they would have had enough in stock, they would have given me 30 days worth that day I first came in. My wife has also struggled with Walgreens in Eugene. Nearly every time she goes to pick up her prescription, they only have a few days worth. She has to make several trips to get her one prescription filled. We are both done with Walgreens! read more

On a Friday afternoon my mother, my daughter, & myself stopped into Walgreens to make a picture CD. I had been to this photo department before and was familiar with their touch screen photo kiosk. After uploading all 365 pictures into their machine and finishing each prompt given, I asked an employee if I could pay for the CD now and pick it up in a few days and not the 45 minutes the kiosk told me it would be ready. The employee told me I could not do that before pick up. I asked if I needed any documentation for that pick up and I was told I did not. On Monday after work I returned for my picture CD only to find out my name is in their active files, however my picutre CD request was not. Pictures from July 2010, Birthdays, people and animals not longer with us, and of course just pround moments that parents want to charish. 365 pictures gone. My daughter, 8 years old, and I were in total shock. Not only because those were lost forever but for the fact the staff was hardly concerned. I recieve a remark from the manager saying, "Technology!" I recommend no one ever use their photo department, but if you just HAVE to please wait to make sure they, humans, recieved all your data or you could be in a situation like mine wishing you had done the same.
