Soooo slow. Every time I come here it takes like 30 mins to pick up something that was supposed to be ready.

This is the worst pharmacy I've ever had to deal with. I was recently forced by BCBS to switch from CVS to Walgreens after I had to change my family policy. Every month there is some sort of communication issue with the staff/pharmacists and my prescriptions constantly get delayed without any notification or updates. Two moths in a row I was told that the pharmacist was "confused" about the medication instructions which delayed them filling it. When I called later in the day the new pharmacist on shift was not "confused" at all and had no problem filling it. I also have to call every single month after my doctor sends in my prescription just to tell them I'm self paying for one prescription and not using insurance. Even though it's been well over a year with the same exact prescriptions, I still have to call them or they will delay it for days or even weeks. I highly recommend using a different location or better yet, use CVS because Walgreens is a JOKE. Also, even though Illinois law allows controlled substance prescriptions to be filled two day early, if you ask them to fill it early you will be treated rudely and with disrespect by the pharmacist. read more

This Walgreens pharmacy is awful. I called and asked if i could have my order ready yesterday. They said sure and they would message me when it's ready. That was around noon. Today it's still not ready. It's no longer pharmacy in under an hour or under a day. read more

Went here to grab some wine and cough drops. The place was empty, except for 1 customer and 1 employee. While I was looking at the cough drops, I noticed this random dude sitting in a chair by the closed pharmacy...and some weird ass noises coming from the CLOSED pharmacy area. It sounded like either someone was having sex or fighting. It was incredibly weird. I said as much to the cashier and all she did was laugh nervously. In my opinion, neither of those things should be a laughing matter in a place of business. I also mentioned that random male sitting in the back, again, a nervous laugh. Regardless of whatever the heck was going on here, it's was odd and I know I will never go there again. read more

This location typically is dirty and has poor in stocks. Today, I needed to return 2 defective solar lights that didn't light up after a month in my garden. Manager Devin wouldn't return them, and was rude and unhelpful. He suggested I contact the manufacturer about the defect. I reminded him that they were branded "Walgreens" and he told me they only distribute them. I understand how retail works, but if you sell it under your brand it is essentially your merchandise. And you should refund customers when your merchandise is defective. He was also unwilling to give me the district manager's contact information. I do not recommend this location based on the service I received and will no longer shop at Walgreens since they don't stand behind their own branded merchandise. Shameful. read more

This is a review of a singular employee... taller, dark haired young man... Jonathan Or Jay... Forgive my ignorance in not knowing. This young man is without question the best employee and nicest young man! He is on point, helpful, and without question does everything he can to serve customers to the best of his abilities! I love Walgreens never really have to wait in line. Wish they had more specials on energy drinks (of course) though. Always clean always nice people. A great on the go alterantive to the family stores. read more

I am an unproductive person that works nights, which leads me to frequently shop at several Walgreens locations for most of my superficial and basic needs. I've meant to have posted this several times(again, unproductive) but this is by far the best location Walgreens has to offer. Linda Z in particular seemingly humbles me with her level of knowledge and customer service time and time again. It's absurd. The rest of this staff is also wonderful. read more

Showed up at 10:06pm rushing to get medicine for a sick family member and was greeted by all 3 workers standing at the door talking just to have one lady rudely shake her head at me that they were closed. God forbid you look for a pharmacy closest to you in case of an emergency to be turned away! Save the trip when you are in an emergency rush and go to the jewel down the street and avoid this place all together! read more

Worst pharmacy service I have ever encountered. It takes 3+ hours for a standard antibiotic to get filled. I called to see if a script was ready and they said it was only to get there and be told it would be 20 minutes. Not convenient at all when the medicine is for a sick child. read more

Very nice pharmacy staff. The photo lab is good but don't always give you the finish requested. They are willing to reprint them though.

The pharmacy at this Walgreens always seems confused and the pharmacy staff has no concern over your more than likely need it now prescriptions. First time I was sick with Mastitis (103.1 fever) the doctor called in an antibiotic for me. I received a text saying the prescription was delayed. I figured it might just be taking a while to fill. I never heard anything else for hours, so I called and they informed me they were out of stock and would not have the medication until the next afternoon. It took me calling them to find that out and having it called to another Walgreens. I was sick and had an infection but the pharmacy employees didn't seem all that concerned. The second time around my 6 month old son was sick with an ear infection and chest cold, I gave this Walgreens the benefit of the doubt and had his prescription called in. I go to pick it up and they tell me their computers aren't working and that I would receive a text when it was ready. I waited all day with no text notification. So I called and the automated system said the prescription was ready and that the insurance covered it and I owed $0. That was great so I went to the drive thru to pick it up. Upon waiting in the drive thru for a good five minutes before being addressed. Finally a technician got my child's medication together took my insurance card and I was so happy, I was going to be in and out and my boy would have his med. the tech disappeared for a good 15 minutes meanwhile my displeased sick child is screaming on the backseat. The tech finally came back and said the computer system wasn't working and I could either come back later or tomorrow or pay out of pocket for the medication and come back at a later date and get a refund. I was completely annoyed at this point so paid out of pocket. I came back 8 days later which was the first chance I had and was told I could not get a refund because it was past 7 days and I would have to contact my insurance myself. Granted it was only $17 but the point being is my insurance covered it and I should not have to worry about doing all the work with my insurance when it was a mistake by Walgreens and not myself. Save yourself the headache and either go to cvs across the street or another Walgreens altogether because you'll end up having to go to another anyway if you get anything called in here. read more

Very frustrating experience with their pharmacy staff this week. I have bronchitis and the doctor called in 3 prescriptions for me. Although I use their text alerts, I never received one regarding the medicine so I called to see when it would be ready. The first girl I talked to told me that there was nothing called in under my name at all or my birthday and to call my doctor back. I called the doctor and was told it definitely went through so I called Walgreens again. This time, the male I spoke with was not interested in helping me but instead wanted to update my account information. I was not in the mood for his twenty questions at this time. He then told me they had none of my insurance information on file, which was weird because I picked something up the day before and they had all of my info on hand already. He put me on hold to "look into this" and the call disconnected. I called back a THIRD time and finally spoke to someone, a manager I am guessing, who knew what she was talking about. She apologized, somehow magically found my prescriptions AND my insurance and said it would be ready in an hour. I picked it up and all was fine, but get your act together. read more

My wife and I travel a lot, we are in this area every late summer or fall, we use this store for all our pharmacy needs and also any other items they carry. The staff is very friendly and helpful at all times. Would recommend o anyone. read more
