Customer service is terrible. Every all the products are very overpriced and has almost no products would not recommend.

BEWARE - INCOMPETENT PHARMACY!!! Called ahead to make a profile, provided all information and confirmed they could fill out of state veterinary Rx before driving to them. Waited one hour through massive incompetence and their inability to fill in the blanks on their computer. I looked it up online and explained to them several of the things they were doing wrong, including violating DEA guidelines!!! Matt was the least helpful of them all and and blamed someone named Josephine who wasn't even there. He went to hide when I was leaving while another person came up to "apologize" for their incompetence. I left and got it filled at a nearby CVS within 15 minutes of getting there fresh. Took my child to urgent care and they were given two prescriptions. One compliments the other. I get to Walgreens 30 min later and ask for them. They say they don't have them. I showed them my paper copy. All of a sudden they have what they need and tell me to come back in 20 min. I did and they gave me one of the two. I asked the person working where the other one is and was told they didn't the prescription in the system. I asked them to call and verify and was told "we don't do that". Called the urgent care and was told both prescriptions were entered the same time and that they also call and verify things in a regular basis. Been here over an hour and still waiting.... Good thing this medication isn't urgently needed and that I don't have to be at work this afternoon. If you are busy, don't cut corners. Take care of your customers. You just lost this one. I'll go out of my way to avoid this poorly managed business. read more

Was told they couldn't do baby passport photos in store and to bring in the photo on a USB and they would print it. Brought in photo on a USB and then they said they couldn't print from a USB. Don't waste your time here for passport photos- even the manager admitted he didn't get his passport photos here!! Went to the other Scarborough Walgreens and they were able to print the passport photo from a USB! read more

Sniffles snorks and beach balls Most Walgreen Pharmacies are pretty nice and pretty consistent. Lots of the basic kinds of drug store stuff a person needs with a few other odds and ends tossed in for good measure However the Walgreen's in Scarborough has the little extra that makes a drugstore special. Not just the usually drugstore thingies but since it is in the quirky beach town of Scarborough, the store has lots of quirky beach stuff in it. We always forget something when we come up here or end up needed something we didn't think we needed and we can usually find it in here. Plenty of cool and different types of junk food and drinks as well as an impressive amount of totally foolish but necessary beach toys and items. The employees are very cool and I can look as scruffy as I want in this store and no one will follow me around assuming I am there to steal like most drugstore do. My wife had a serious case of the sniffles and snorks and needed something to clear her head. She decided to talk to the cool pharmacist and he gave her some Sudafed without the "I hope you're not a meth head" looks that she sometimes gets. It's just a drugstore, nothing to get excited about. But this Walgreen's in Scarborough does it just a little bit better than others and that what makes it special. read more

I'm very grateful to the manager at this Walgreens. I was in there early in the week when I was trying to find hand sanitizer or rubbing alcohol and they had been cleaned out like everywhere else. I asked the manager if he could please let me know when they get more in, and could they hold some for me? He took my name and number and of course I knew I wouldn't hear back from him, not with how crazy everything is. But I did! He called me an hour ago! I had requested travel sized sanitizer bottles, he had two for me (one is for my husband) and I was never so happy about something seemingly so inconsequential if circumstances were different. read more

On the Walgreens web site, you can make an appointment to get a flu shot at the Walgreens store of your choice. I recently did just that. I chose this store, I chose a day and time, entered my information, and later received a confirmation email stating that my appointment was all set. When I arrived at this Walgreens store for my appointment, the person at the pharmacy said "We don't do appointments." I explained that I had an appointment that I made on the Walgreens web site and the person's response was "You can wait. It'll be at least half an hour." Needless to say, if this store doesn't do appointments, that ought to be reflected on their section of the Walgreens web site. No one likes having their time wasted. read more

Well stocked and friendly staff! The pharmacist Rob always recognizes me and has my scripts in an instant. I've used the photo service a few times and they are always fast and helpful. Some pharmacies you have to hunt down the staff to get some help but someone is always around at this location and that's why I keep coming back. Keep up the good work! read more

This is the worst place you could get your photos printed at. I've been here several times over the years for standard prints and there's always a problem with them. They either have a green or red hue to them or have been cropped by the machine on all sides- cutting out important parts of the image. They never look the same printed as when I send my order in online. I've spoken to the manager of the photo department and he could care less. He sees that the photo I sent in and the one that prints out are completely different but still does not care. He just wants to refund my money and get me out of the store without even bothering to trouble shoot the system or find a solution to the problem. I've had it with this photo department. This is my last time doing business here. read more

To me the typical retail pharmacy makes you feel like you're always in a rush and that you'll have to wait in a long line for an average of 10 minutes or more. I don't feel or notice those things at this Walgreens. I'm from Boston so that's why I had to add that opening statement. You're actually greeted when you go in and it's not overly crowded. The pharmacist is friendly and acknowledges you from the glass window while you're in line waiting for your prescriptions. Aside from the nice people working there, you'll always find that certain type of junk food you're craving, or that toothpaste you forgot while packing for your trip up here, and advice from the pharmacist when you're feeling icky. Oh and don't forget the sign up for there Balance Rewards card. It's free, you accumulate points, and can end up getting money off your purchases!! Be Well :) read more

I went into Walgreens for zit cream for my teenager. I was a little nervous since the last bad experience I had at this location. (Last summer my toddler was having an allergic reaction, and I needed to quickly get Children's Benadryl. I searched and found no sign of it, so I got a store worker to help. He slowly looked around and declared that it must be out of stock. As I was leaving empty-handed, I took a random turn and discovered, facing the back of the store on the end of a row, a large isolated display of Children's Benadryl.) My expectations were low when, on this most recent visit to Walgreens, the zit cream I needed was nowhere to be found. Typically store employees don't know jack about the products they sell, (and why would they) but if you can find someone who works there, they'll probably be fine with searching aisles they appear to have never laid eyes on as it gets them out of stocking shelves. Today during said zit cream mission, the employee I approached (who had been happily ignoring my lengthy search in her section) let me know she had NEVER in a whole year of employment there, ever heard of this product I was after. She then asked whether I was interested in anti-aging products. (No) She then proceeded to still try to sell me some anti-aging product she "loves"! I don't need anti-aging cream. and never asked for it. I'm in my mid 30s and I think my skin looks good. Should a woman have to hear from another woman that it's time to start tightening up that neck skin? On an unrelated note, I ended up buying a "natural" face moisturizer (NOT ANTI AGING!) ;) for 30$ and found out when I got home that it's usually 12$ in other drug stores. Nice. read more

I found a bottle of vitamins that had the desiccant loose/ opened packet give it the cashier and returned a few days later and it was back on the shelf. I gave it to the pharmacist. 2. A cashier swiped a bottle of vitamins multiple times overcharging me then refused to refund me and said the manager was not in. 3. Getting emails from them, try to unsubscribe and they say that email (the one they sent it to) is not on their system. read more

I have been using Walgreen's for 3 years now. The pharmacy is the only place I can get my rosacea sulfur wash, all others exacerbate my red/bumps. The staff in the pharmacy are ALWAYS nice to me. They're helpful and most kind. It get's busy. I appreciate that the pharmacists will talk to you. They have a good selection of cards and get all my XMAS stuff there. No one likes to pay these high prices for their meds, but at least at Walgreen's in Scarborough it's a better experience. read more
