This is by far the most disorganized pharmacy I have ever patronized and the only reason I went here is because I needed something compounded. After a week of hearing nothing about my prescription, I finally called only to be told "we tried calling you" um no you didn't because I have caller ID and "your insurance doesn't cover this." In the meantime, I am in pain and the pharmacist is lying to me about trying to contact me. Informed the pharmacist I would pay for the meds so that gets resolved after a week of waiting. I went to order a refill and somehow ordered the wrong meds. Called and asked to cancel the Rx on October 30th. Picked up an different Rx on 11/7 and they tried to give me the ones I cancelled. Ask again to cancel, says she will, get a call today asking me to pick up the meds I asked twice to cancel. read more

Located on the corner of Randolph and Snelling this seems to be a pretty standard Walgreens, with a pharmacy, household items, beauty products, convenience foods, and more. On my recent visit it appeared that there was only one cashier, and there was a considerable wait at the cash register. It's nice to have places like this to find things quickly without having to run to a large store. I appreciated the store's convenience and hours and location. read more

I have been waiting on the phone now for 29 minutes and I am next. Every 15 seconds the repeated "We're sorry, our staff is answering other calls and will be with you shortly." Their robo calls are always incorrect regarding my prescriptions. This one is about a prescription refill that is delayed, even though I already picked up my script last week. It has truly become the worst pharmacy I have ever used. So it is very likely I will be going over to the Corner Drugstore after this is cleared up! read more

This is a horrible drugstore with an amazingly fine photo department, all due to Tony, the competent and hard-working employee behind the counter. The rest of the ares are definitely up and down, with employees wandering about while, in the pharmacy department, there is neither enough staff nor enough space to do what they're called on to do. Drive-through pharmacy service is so darn slow, and you can forget about any attempt to talk to a pharmacist on the phone. I've waited as much as an hour for that! So I would evaluate this particular Walgreens and both a 1 and a 5. The only 5 is the photo department. read more

Can someone explain why the wait to pay at this Wallgreens is always measured in centuries? The new location is much easier to access than the old, with lots more parking. They have what you want, and prices are not out of line. Pharmacists are professional too. The only reasons that they get three stars rather than one are 1) they have a redbox and 2) the employees make me laugh. I should actually dock a star on the redbox since I actually grow a beard each time I stop to return a movie and wait in line for someone to choose what they want, but that's not Walgreens fault. The lines to the register aren't long, but as Adam aptly pointed out, you will age considerably during the wait. The team at the photo section is really nice but don't seem to have a lot of training. Most Walgreens aren't great, but this one is one of the worst that I have ever been to. They always seem to be understaffed and even when they have all of their registers open the cashiers barely seem to have a clue how to work them. I can't count how many times I've been next in line and the cashier calls a person behind me to step up because I happen to be one inch closer to the other register. People in the pharmacy don't have answers to some of the most basic pharmaceutical questions. What happened to the days when drugstore workers actually prepared the prescriptions themselves? Sadly these days are mostly gone. How many times has this location failed to enter the sales price into their system? I'm sure they don't care and aren't expecting customers to walk out without reviewing their receipt or watching the prices that are scanned. And most customers don't; however, they won't pull the wool over my eyes! No, I do not want to go to the photo lab to have my receipt corrected and my money refunded because you don't know how to work the machine. But I will, because what other choice do you give me aside from overpaying if I walk out from sheer aggravation? The only reason I stop here anymore is if I need something quick on my way home from work and it is not from the pharmacy. The overall store is pretty good as you can find what you need fairly quickly and most times can check out quickly too. I loathe the pharmacy department here. It seems like the people that are filling your prescriptions don't know the meaning of the word service. There has been a couple times when I have dropped off a prescription to pick up the next day only to get there the next day to hear that they didn't have it filled as they were out of the drug. Would it kill you to pick up a phone to call and let a person know the prescription isn't ready before they try to pick it up? Most locations will call to see if another location nearby has the medicine to fill the prescription. Nope, not here, you'll have to ask them a couple of times before they will call. Save yourself some time and headache, travel a little further and go to the Walgreens on Ford Parkway. The pharmacy department at Walgreens on Ford Parkway seems to get the concept of customer service. read more

This is the Walgreens that's on the corner of unhappy and hopeless. I dread having to go there to drop off or pick up my husband's prescriptions. It always seems to be long wait in the pharmacy because they either can't locate a prescription or they're telling you to come back later after the prescription was phoned or faxed in the day before. I've asked, " why such a long wait?" To which was replied, " we get hundreds of prescriptions every hour, we can only fill so fast ". You'd think this was the only drugstore in town, but sadly these corporate greed stores are within a 2 mile radius to their other sister stores. I've also noticed that the employee retention is poor. I rarely see the familiar faces of employees at this store then I do of the other neighborhood business establishments. Maybe the employees are equally fed up as the customers are. read more

THIS PHARMACY IS HORRIBLE. The pharm tech spent 20 minutes trying to enter my insurance info. Gave me my card back. Proceeded to ask the pharmacist, Amanda, about how to enter my information. The pharmacist stated "the information you have makes me question the validity of the card." (AKA I was a fraud in her eyes.) The pharmacist told me that with the information they had, they couldn't process my insurance to obtain a flu vaccine and would need to pay $30+ out of pocket. I was not about to pay for a flu vaccine when nearly every insurance plan covers this preventative measure. I presented my insurance card AGAIN and the pharmacist said she didn't realize I had an insurance card (????). She glanced over it and said, "oh, there's the RXBIN and RXPCN." This was apparently the information that they could not locate. The tech then entered the information and said my insurer must have had my birthday incorrect in their system so they couldn't process my insurance. I left after 30 minutes of this. I called my insurer. They have my birthday and other personal information correct. In short, the pharmacist was condescending and the pharm tech was incompetent. DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION. read more

I love this Walgreens. It's in my neighborhood and I stop by almost every day. And who doesn't love a 24 hour store/pharmacy. Very nice staff. MUCH more friendly and efficient than the CVS on Fairview and Grand. I felt compelled to leave a review after seeing this store only has a 2 star review. read more

This is the worst pharmacy I have ever been to in my entire life. The pharmacist in charge (Ashley something) fancies herself as a police officer of patient medications, and flat out refuses to fill legitimate prescriptions. If insurance won't cover, they will not allow you the option to pay cash. Whatever insurance pays for, that's what they will dispense, and that's it. Want to pay cash for anything over the covered quantity? Too bad - we tell you what is necessary, not your doctor. I can't imagine how much pain and suffering the staff at this pharmacy has caused countless numbers of patients. Walgreens Corporate needs to fire the pharmacist in charge at this store and bring in some fresh blood. read more

Fill your prescriptions elsewhere! After receiving an email that my meds were out of stock, with no other information about when they would be available, I called the store. Was told they were in stock. Showed up several hours later, as directed to be told they were not in stock, a story that was changed to partial fill. Oh, and they weren't ready so I had to get out of the "convenient" drive through. read more

Don't expect empathy from this branch. They will deliver you the meds but if you have a problem, they won't care. I expect they will do their job, but the part of doing their job that they aren't very interested in is the basic "human touch" of caring about their customers and showing empathy when the customer is frustrated. I had to pick up a few extra days of a prescription just to tide me over until a doctor visit, and the insurance charged me nearly the same for 3 pills as they had for 30. I didn't realize there were only 3 pills in the bottle until I got home. I called, and I probably would have accepted the situation had the staff person showed an ounce of empathy. Instead, they said, "it doesn't seem like much to me," and "it's your responsibility to read the prescription." These are acceptable statements on their own, but when someone is frustrated, the store should take 10 seconds to say, "Wow, that's frustrating," or "I'm so sorry about that." This person was unwilling to provide any empathy, so the message I got was "Walgreens doesn't value it's customers, just their money." I recommend finding a different Walgreens. Or better yet, if you give Target on University a try, much to your surprise you will find that the customer service is far better. Steer clear if you wish to be anything but "customer 396." I'm switching to target. read more

Walgreens makes it so easy. I know it's 24 hours and busy so I let my doctor call it in and I pick it up several hours later ......always ready. They set me up for text so that helps. I also do all my refills online and print my photos from my phone. They have my favorite vitamins usually on bogo and the staff is always helpful. read more

Always have to wait, even when I reconfirm via automated phone refill. They are often out of pills for my prescription resulting in extra co pays I have to pay. Pharmacy is always busy and appears understaffed, however employees are courteous and friendly. read more

The wait's always kind of long, but other than that, I've had no real problems here. Everything is well-stocked, it's clean, and open 24 hours, which is a huge plus. I also go to the pharmacy to fill medication 2-3 times a month and have never ran into trouble (not that they don't necessarily have the issues other people have commented about...but I've never seen it). People are probably dying because of this poorly run pharmacy. I spend hours every month trying to make sure my prescriptions are billed correctly. I'm the one calling my doctor for prior authorizations and calling the insurance companies trying to resolve issues that come up. There is no customer service here and no one taking responsibility for their mistakes. There are only a handful of competent helpful employees and they're so overworked that they can't keep up with what's going on over there. This is my last month filling with them after they've allowed their errors to leave me without insulin for two weeks. read more

We switched to this location years ago because it was better than the Butler Ave location. Now it's worse than Butler ever was. I frequently am getting emails saying that my prescription is ready when it is not. Clearly their employees are gaming the system to make their times look better for the corporate office. Just spent 20 minutes on the phone trying to work out an error that had been made. The pharmacist was upset that I was interrupting her. I was interrupting her because she was wrapping up the call rather than listening to the other concern I had. Since there was an error in how we were charged my husband has to go back out there to get his $150 refund. Something needs to change here fast. We run a lot of prescriptions here due to chronic health conditions and literally don't have the time this pharmacy is requiring of us. read more

I went to refill my prescription and hadn't realized my insurance card had expired the month before. Brittney in the pharmacy called the insurance company for me even though they were understaffed overnight and confirmed my insurance was valid. I was able to come back the next morning and pick up my prescription with no issue. Thank you, Brittney, for going above and beyond your job! Everytime I use this pharmacy it is a minimum of 25 minutes. I've even been handed someone else's Rx before. This is hands down the most consistently slow pharmacy I've been to. I suggest going anywhere else. read more

I guess I'll just start by saying that this is probably the worst experience I've had buying anything ever. I dont think its the workers faults either since it seems like they are all running around doing things and trying their best its just one of those unexplainable things in life kind of like how even though 2 million more people voted for Hillary Clinton than Trump there still hasn't been a woman president of the United States. I was approached at first and told that my prescription would be ready in 20 minutes, I said okay and walked around the store for a while. 30 minutes later I sat down near the pharmacy to hopefully convey a sense of hurry to which a pharmacist said "sorry your prescription will be ready in just a few minutes"... this is where it gets wild. I waited 30 MORE MINUTES and they still didnt have my prescription. At this point I got back in line to the pharmacy (mind you every one of the 5 pharmacists is still running around either doing something or desperately and convincingly pretending they are). When I make it to the front of the line I ask if the prescription for myself is ready yet to which one of the pharmacists says "oh yeah sorry I'll get right on that" and she goes back and again either begins doing something in a very hurried manor. After another 10 minutes I started questioning if I was dreaming, if I had passed out from a mix of strep throat and stress, or if I was simply so sick I had died and gone to hell. Finally about an hour and 15 minutes after I walked in I decided that I was not willing to trade my soul and sanity to get better and literally left the establishment out the front door without saying anything to anyone. 2 hours later I came back and they had my prescription ready. The recovery process took an hour or two but I kept an open mind and got through it. All and all I would not recommend this pharmacy. read more

I don't post often but this Walgreens has been whittling away at my sanity for quite some time now. I come here often as I live just a block away and it seems their customer service consistently goes down year after year. This location is the Wal-Mart of Walgreens... You will always find a very long line to check out and you can guarantee there will only be one cashier open but you will see several employees stocking etc, you would think with the volume of business they do they would have a better system in play to get this matter under control. This is no new compliant people have been complaining about This for years now! Get it together already. They made a mistake and over charged me on my credit card last winter and it took 3 managers, 3 trips to the store and about 3 weeks to resolve this issue, we are talking 20 bucks here and not one person offered any apology or any timely resolution! I emailed their customer service and I got a prompt reply that she would look into it and follow up with me... Never heard another word from her. They have a younger gentlemen as their store manager and not once in the many times I've been here has the guy smiled or offered a hello to me nor does he seem to care about the ridiculous long lines people are waiting in cuz he sure never hops on a register. Apparently they have become such a big chain that they know people will keep coming back and they don't need to do a damn thing about customer service, quite sad. read more
