Just wanted to inform you that the pharmacy at store (#4824) on Lusher Rd in St. Louis is a real Mickey Mouse operation. A prescription for colonoscopy prep was called in on Thursday, May 5th. We stopped by Thursday afternoon and was told that it was out of stock but should be there over the weekend. We called Monday morning and the computer said it should be ready Tuesday. We call Tuesday and the computer said it was being "processed" and call back in an hour. Same answer an hour later. Since we HAD to have the prescription yesterday to start the prep today, we drove over there because it's IMPOSSIBLE to talk to a person that's employed at that pharmacy.
Once we get there, a couple is waiting at one window for someone to supposedly get back with them and there are 2 other people in front of us. There are 6 people "working" (more like getting paid for milling around) in the pharmacy who perceived themselves as too busy to provide help at the counter. Finally, after 15 minutes or so, someone else comes to the counter to help. The 2 in front of us were taken care of relatively quickly and when she got to us, she looked up what we needed in the computer and said they STILL didn't have it. She also said they called the doctor to ask if a substitute was allowed but never heard back. When we left at about 1120, the couple at the other window were still waiting.
Since time was of the essence (these people need to take a training class in what that means), we went home, contacted our doctor, and had them send in the prescription to a nearby CVS. I was able to talk to the pharmacist who said they too would have to do a substitute and that he was emailing back the doctor to approve that. Our prescription was picked up about 2 hours later. Something the pharmacy at store #4824 was unable to accomplish in 5 days.
Think they need to reevaluate the qualifications of your pharmacy staff there. read more
