Adj: mediocre This is another neighborhood pharmacy. Although I do not have any Rx scripts here, the location is convenient at the corner of Riverside and Florin, and sometimes it's a quick stop to pick up an essential or an item that I forgot to get at another store and don't want to backtrack. However, there have been reports of several incidents here, so safety can be a concern. I do not come here alone after dark, and try not to come here at night at all with or without someone accompanying. The store seems quite short-staffed, sadly. I ordered some photos to be printed here and on the evening when hubby and I came to pick them up on the way home from the gym, there were only 2 staff in the whole store, and both of them were cashiering. We had to wait till one of them cleared their line of customers checking out before she was available to help us get our several photo orders. As far as shopping here, there are usually well-stocked shelves, but sometimes they seem to stock their items in non-intuitive places and it takes me awhile to find what I'm looking for and staff is scarce so I don't try to find a staff person to help me find the item(s). The prices here, as w/other pharmacies like CVS (pretty much the only other chain pharmacy left), are pretty high, so definitely have to watch for sales if you're flexible about an item's brand or variety. Otherwise, it would be much less expensive for a food or essential item if bought at the Grocery Outlet just across the street. Occasionally, Walgreen's would offer promotions on their photo printing such as a free 8x10 or a few free 4x6, and it's quite easy to use either their app or their website to upload pictures to be printed at the store and although the quality isn't the best, it's pretty ok from my experience of what I need them for. Overall, this Walgreens is a helpful place, but isn't in the safest part of the greater Greenhaven area, and so it is best to only come in daylight. read more

Great customer service, pleasant employees. Went to get both Flu and COVID shots ... so easy !

This is specific to the pharmacy- if you haven't already transferred your medications to this location, I strongly advise you not to do so. It's been one headache after another. The automated system doesn't work and to try to get someone live is nearly impossible. This has been my experience multiple times not, not just once. This AM is what sent me sailing- I waited on hold for 20 minutes to get hung up on and then proceed to get hung up on the next 2x that I called. I will definitely be transferring our prescriptions from this location, I find it too aggravating and I already have blood pressure issues read more

Employees never smile and look beaten down. Must be a sad place to work or just bad management. You get the forced welcome to Walgreens when walking in. If there are no customers in line or waiting there is no one at the check out by the door. I can see why theft is an issue with Walgreens stores. read more

I am deeply disappointed with the customer service provided by these two individuals at this location, as it is precisely this type of poor service that undermines the company's reputation and dissuades customers from shopping there, and I will not set foot in this store location ever again. I entered the store to process a return and waited patiently in line, eventually becoming the third customer. When it was my turn, I placed the items I wished to return on the counter and the cashier, Victoria, requested my receipt. I promptly retrieved it from my pocket and handed it to her. However, without hesitation, she informed me that the items were no longer eligible for return due to being purchased last year, despite the receipt clearly indicating a purchase date of 12/31/2025, and the current date being 01/30/2026.Which means I have one more day before I will be unable to return the items and she stated that she would call the manager, but before the manager arrives, she mentioned that the manager will convey the same information.Clearly, the cashier demonstrated a lack of good customer service skills based on her reaction and attitude. When the manager arrived, I apologized for the inconvenience, although, in theory, I was not obligated to do so, given that my return was still within the 30-day store policy. The manager examined my receipt and reiterated the same sentence, stating that the return could not be processed because I purchased the item last year. I maintained my composure and explained to her that I was still within the 30-day timeframe, pointing out that today's date was 01/30/2026, which marked one more day. The manager Nattaly showed no discernible difference in her demeanor compared to her cashier. Her attitude and the manner in which she handled my return did not make me feel welcome in the store. She continued to scan all three of my items and my receipt each time, despite the fact that if the system had declined my return, it would not have been necessary to do so. After scanning all three items, the system indicated that it was processing an amount of over $200. She then looked at the cashier, paused for 10 seconds and informed me that, unfortunately, the system had declined my return, and subsequently printed the slip. Upon leaving the store, I obtained the slip from the manager and felt a sense of discomfort. Nevertheless, I maintained my composure, apologized for any inconvenience, and disregarded the lack of acknowledgment from the manager and cashier upon entering and exiting the store. My primary objective was to return my items and depart peacefully. However, after sitting in my car, I felt compelled to re-enter the store and request the names of the staff members involved. This inquiry led to an escalation of the situation, with the manager characterizing my request as absurd and the cashier responding in a condescending manner. I reiterated my intention to lodge a formal complaint and emphasized that I did not require a justification or wish to engage with their hostile attitude. Overall, my experience with Nattaly and Victoria was disappointing and I would advise others to avoid that location due to their unprofessional attitude, which fails to provide a welcoming atmosphere. Fortunately, I maintained my composure throughout the ordeal. This incident occurred today at 6:29pm Pacific time. Therefore, Nattaly and Victoria, it will be interesting to see who will ultimately prevail after your unprofessional behavior and dismissive remarks regarding my negative experience with the two of you. Although I do not typically subscribe to the notion that the customer is always right, this experience led me to conclude that someone needs to hold your staff accountable for their actions. I had an incredible experience today with the clerk SALEHA. I asked for assistance in finding an item. She was stocking the shelves and stopped and walked me to where the item was located. The item was not the style I wanted. I continued on to the pharmacy to pick up my script. SALEHA then come over with a similar item which was similar but not what I wanted. I continued on and she returned with the item I did want! SALEHA went above and beyond to assist me in purchasing the item. I appreciate her customer service! She was friendly, understanding, and so helpful. Thank you SALEHA again and Walgreens for having such a caring employee. I always get my scripts filled here and I have never encounter a problem with the pharmacy staff. They too are always smiling and helpful. read more

My 93 year old mom was 7 minutes late for her 10:20 flu shot. There were two people in line when we arrived, so I'm not sure what getting there any earlier would have accomplished, other than waiting for 7 minutes more. The assistant remarked on my mom's DOB, so they were aware of her age. After sitting there for twenty minutes I asked how much longer, and was told that there was only one pharmacist, and she was busy with another patient. I asked if we should reschedule for another time and was told she was almost done. At the half hour mark I said that it would be better if we rescheduled for CVS, and the pharmacist started to hector me about us being late. Well, if it was going to take another half hour, why not say that when we checked in? Or when I asked if we should come back some other time? My stepdad had the 10:30 slot, but ended up getting it at his PCP this morning. Why have that slot available for scheduling if you can't accommodate it? And if your patient is extremely elderly or otherwise looks frail, why not SAY we're too busy, please come back tomorrow (or whenever you have more staff)? I get that all the pharmacies are understaffed and overworked, but please have some regard for your patients. She and stepdad got COVID shots here in September and were on time, still waited for 30 minutes for the vaccine. I assumed they had to thaw it out and that's what took so long, but now I'm guessing it is just their MO. I know now that this week, 20 minutes is not enough lead time to get my mom out of the house even when already fully dressed, and will plan accordingly. This is NOT patient care read more

I made an order for a canvas of my art piece for a friend's birthday last week and it was ordered for same day delivery but I was told that it wouldn't be ready until Monday so I waited even though my friend's birthday was that weekend. I figured his birthday present would be fashionably late. However when I went to pick it up on Monday it wasn't ready because they didn't have any canvas paper I was told that I would get a call and my number was taken for the next day to tell me whether or not they got the canvas paper in. I never received a call on Tuesday so on Wednesday I gave them a call in the afternoon and was told that the canvas paper was not coming in and they didn't know when it was going to be coming in I asked if I might be able to get a discount Due to the inconvenience and it's not being ready I was told no and offered to go to another Walgreens or to cancel my canvas. I chose t to cancel my canvas. I ended up ordering an 8 by 10 print via the app yesterday and when it came to my email it was again stating that it wasn't going to be ready until the 19th which was 5 days from now. I called customer care and was told that they couldn't tell me anything about what was going on in the store and I had to call the store so I called the store and the girl told me that yes they have 8 by 10 papers so it will be ready today when I picked it up when I came in I was looking for a waste basket outside of the store so that I could throw away a can that I had and I couldn't find one so I asked the clerk behind the counter if I could throw something away in her trash can and she told me it was full. So I went outside and I took a picture of the outside of the store and I also took a picture of the can that I needed to throw away on the counter at the photo department she saw that I was taking pictures and came and asked me if she could throw away my can. Able to pick up my photo but I am never going back here again. I'd rather drive further and use a different establishment even though this one is right around the corner from my house. The Pharmacy here is very helpful and cheerful. They are also good about calling you when your prescription is ready, or if it's going to be a few days before they can fill it. That said, it's clear that the pharmacy staff is overworked, and thinly staffed, but that is an issue with the Walgreens company, not the staff. read more

On May 10th 2024, I purchased a Vanilla Visa Gift Card as a Mother's Day gift for my wife in the amount of $500 at Walgreens at 250 Florin Rd. Sacramento, CA. When my wife tried to use the card, there was no balance. Then, I went to the store to correct the issue, I was told by the clerk to call the phone number on the card. By the time, I contacted Vanilla Visa, the card was lost and so I reported it lost and was told to send the receipt, drivers license, and a bill with my name and address. After hearing nothing from Vanilla Visa, I followed up and was asked to provide serial numbers or card numbers from the card. Of course, I did not have any of that information. All I had was the electronic receipt with an Item Number for reference. Vanilla Visa could not use that and I was told there was nothing they could. So I call the store back and talked to Alexandria, Store Manager. She basically told me I am out of luck and there was nothing Walgreens could do. I am screaming from the mountain top. This Walgreens always has what I need in stock. Everyone is friendly even though I do see they are busy working. It's really clean and honestly I've seen them deal with a lot of entitled and rude customers that have no manners and kudos to them. Online pick up took awhile to get ready about 2-3 hr before getting an email confirmation for pick up. Pick up was confusing as I couldn't curbside parking for pick up so I went inside to the photo center area for pick. It also took awhile for someone to get my order ready about 5 minutes. It wasn't too bad but I went to two other location and I'd say this is my least favorite one due to the fact that they are somewhat slow at processing things. It won't stop me from making future purchases for pick ups though. read more

I'm going to stop using this store because it's filthy at the entrance with trash cans overflowing. Also it's seriously understaffed. Twice I've tried to wait in line for their one cashier with a line backed up with 10 people waiting. This was a beautiful store when the community voted to have it rather than a McDonalds. Came here to move our prescriptions from Bel Air. Bel Air was our pharmacy for 20 years but became ineffecient in managing the constantly changing insurance programs which resulted in my wife having to wait months to get scripts filled. So we moved on. Went to Walgreens and had friendly service. They followed up with transferring up the scripts, and the only hassle was getting Bel Air to acknowledge their calls to transfer the prescriptions to them. So so far so good. And BTW, the cost are actually cheaper. The three month fill is the same price for identical scrips for 30 days at Bel Air. On a side note, it appears that all of the Walgreens are identical on the inside. That makes it easy to negotiate the sore in any location that you are in! Super clean location, and friendly staff in the pharmacy (Daniel) and front area (Jenna). read more

Do not go here to get your covid-19 vaccine. The pharmacist and their techs will google your name and if they don't see the results they want, you will be refused the vaccine. They also claim Target grocery store workers aren't "grocery workers" and will refuse to vaccinate you. I hope the pharmacist gets replaced. read more

I love this Walgreens! I was going to have to pay several hundred dollars for my dogs prescription for seizures. They recommended their Prescription Savings Club which brought the price down to under $100. I also love the convenience of picking up prescriptions from the drive up window. I like Wal-Greens for the most part. I ordered some pictures from them online and this was the first time both, getting some online and from Wal-Greens. I didn't pay attention to the location when I ordered my pictures, because there's one much closer to me than this one. Anyways I came to get the pictures and the man working the counter was in the back just standing there doing something, but never once saying I'll be right with you or anything for that matter. So as I'm waiting a couple more people come up and now we're all waiting. And he wasn't in no big hurry to come help anyone. So he comes out, he's not friendly or polite at all. Never once thank you for waiting or anything. I just get my pictures and look at them, not pleased at all. So I asked if they can be fixed and he just gave me attitude like I was bothering him and the nerve of me to ask him that question. Alrighty then! I was like, its to late in the game to deal with this, because I didn't buy Christmas cards and that was why I did the pictures to use them as Christmas cards. So I'm going to use these pictures this time, but I difinently will be aware of the location that I send my pictures to next time that I some done online.
