Going down hill fast and the employees are wearing roller skates. With the addition of the Rude Young Dragon Lady at the register and drive thru at the pharmacy combined with the fact that they are constantly out of the most basic medication , there seems to be very little reason to shop here. The only thing they have going is a parking lot. Trying to get assistance to unlock any of the entire inventory is a very painful process. Has gotten much worse here recently. Terrible service. Tried to return an unopened unused tube of prescription cream I picked up for my mother. Insurance charged the incorrect amount ($72.00). Pharmacist and store manager refused to work with me or help in any way. Terrible experience. Do not recommend the pharmacy or this location at all. read more

The worst pharmacy I have ever been to. CVS gets a star and a half, and they are no better. Walgreens/Duane Reade give you the worst customer service. They never have the medicine your doctor filled for you, or they keep saying, "We need to get your doctor's authorization". After they get the authorization, they do not have the medicine and keep sending you updates about how they are out or they can not get authorization. The pharmacist and cashiers are rude. Do not make an appointment for vaccinations. You fill out the forms online and they make you fill them out again when you arrive 20 minutes before your appointment. Your appointment is at 10 am, but you are not seeing until 11:30 am. The excuse is, "They have to mix the vaccination you are receiving". I am going to change my pharmacy to a local no-name pharmacy or go to Costco. They are fully stocked, faster and pleasant with their customers. read more

I was in your Walgreens store in Rockaway Beach at 116-40 Broadway Beach boulevard in Rockaway Park today. I regularly get the paper plates that are 2 for $4 as clearly marked on the shelf. Today they rang up at 2 for $5. I went back to take a picture of the sign to show the cashier but she insisted that they are 2 for $5. I asked to see a manager who never came out after waiting for quite a while. The cashier went to open another register and took customers there and totally ignored me until I left disgusted. It's just the principle of the thing but if the sign says 2 for $4, the store should honor it. read more

DO NOT USE THE ONLINE PICK UP!!!! IT DOES NOT WORK!!!!!! I placed an order today at 5:09pm and received a text message confirmation along with a email confirmation. The order is supposed to be ready " in as little as 30 minutes" ( according to their website and online ads). I went to the store around 6:15pm (1 hour 6 minutes later) and my order still wasn't ready. I grabbed a few more items that I wanted that had to be purchased in store to receive the register rewards. I spoke to 3 employees and none were very helpful and kept saying "there wasn't anything they could do until the order came in". When I arrived there were NO orders sitting on the counter behind the photo/register area. Finally I put all of the items on my shopping order in a cart because there were only a few on the shelves. I stayed there from 6:15 to 7:45pm and the order never came through. I showed the acting manager the email confirmation along with my bank card info showing the amount pending upon completion of the transaction ( the bank set aside the money from my original total).......still they wouldn't/couldn't do anything to help me. I called Walgreens Corporate and the rep " opened a ticket"( basically filing a complaint) to no avail because I still left without my order almost 1.5 hours later. I'm pretty sure that's false advertisement because there isn't a "disclaimer" about the 30 minutes timeframe starting when the store received the order. Finally I asked one of the employees if he could hold the basket of items behind the counter and out my name & order number on the basket for when my order finally hits the store computer system.
