Walgreens is one of those places.. I'm from the land of Walgreens it started in Chicago. It's either a great place or it can be a hot mess. I've never used this location's pharmacy so I can't say anything on that. The store is usually pretty well stocked but I see all these cars but maybe three customers? Rude pharmacy technicians, (not all), but a few there will mess up your business. When you work with the public common courtesy, and respect especially for your elders will take you far in life. My husband was disrespected here today, simply trying to pick up my prescription. Part two of this review is as follows. The next day the Pharmacist, and Helen were able to take the time to explain everything to my husband (with patience and courtesy when he came back for the prescription. The worst pharmacy I have ever dealt with, ever. CVS stopped taking my insurance, so I switched over to Walgreens pharmacy a couple years ago and it's been nothing but issues. I always call ahead to double check that my prescription is ready for pickup. Yet, there's always still some kind of issue when I arrive at the window. For example, today I called an hour ahead and they said it'd be ready in half an hour. I have it an extra half hour just in case, did my errands and was ready to get my prescription and head home for the day, which is a bit of a ways from the location of this particular store. I pull up to the window and the woman tells me it'll be another 15-20 minutes. For the love of God pharmacy people..... get it together. The rest of the store is great, employees are friendly and helpful, the stores always clean and stocked well. Just don't get me started on the dang pharmacy. Wow. read more

Pharmacy staff are rude and non professional. Mocking and laughing behind your back, will never return to this place

We walked into Walgreens. We were truly the only customer in the store. Nonetheless it took 15 minutes to find a person that worked here.

I walked in to purchase earmuffs. I couldn't find them, but a store member was able to direct me to the gloves, hats, and winter clothing section...so I managed to purchase a hat and gloves. They had a nice selection. I did enjoy my visit. It seemed efficient and not too crowded. read more

I've had more bad drugstore experiences than I've had bad boyfriends. You too? Been to the places where the security guard pays more attention to you than the staff do? Where they never have your prescription ready when they're supposed to? Where they say "the computer lost it" to cover their tails? Where the people behind the counter look - and act - like they should be in a zoo someplace? Where you become intimate with the pharmaceutical needs of your fellow customers because you spend so much time in line there? I know, it's pathetic to be this enthusiastic about a chain drugstore, but if you're like me and have ongoing prescriptions you need to fill regularly, you'll know what I'm talking about. This Walgreens (and other ones I've patronized, though I'm just writing about this one location cause I've been there a lot) is marriage material, to continue the metaphor. The pharmacy is extremely efficient, polite, and fast. They get your order ready when they say they will. They don't accidentally confuse your prescription for eye drops for someone's daughter's birth control (I'm not making this up). They don't hire people who screech "where dat f***in' thing at?" to another employee behind the counter. They have a driveup, which is not fuel-efficient, but mighty comforting on a cold day when you're listening to a good song on the radio and don't want to get out and go into the store. They have express pay, which means you don't even need to get out your freakin' wallet. The rest of the store, the non-pharmacy part, is well-stocked and the employees are out on the floor and ready to help you. The cashiers are prompt, even with folks who are there for the highlight of their day - getting a deal on leftover Halloween candy - and forgot their coupon. And when the person at the counter says "be well," she almost seems to mean it. This Walgreens is centrally located for people who live in the city/Brighton, with a handy Hess station across the street (cheap gas plus plastic gloves to protect your hands from the smell of gas - wooo-hooo!), Tops plaza down the street, and the comfy chairs of Brighton library just a few moments away. What more could a girl ask for? Diamonds? No, these people are above diamonds. They're above rubies, for pete's sake. Transfer your scrips there. I won't make you thank me. . read more

Absolutely disgusting costumer service as far as the pharmacy goes. I'm not sure what the pharmacist name was, but after being told my medication was ready to be picked up, this woman starts a fight with me in the drive thru because I can't hear her on the mic. After waiting for over 30 minutes to even get up to the window. Definitely switching pharmacies and never going here again. read more

Prior person is a cynic. Great place. Always polite and helpful--especially the photo shop & pharmacy First review is accurate. We live in the Park Ave area & go to the Elmwood store to shop sometimes. They have everything and are friendly and polite. read more
