There are several pharmacies in this town, but I've found no other as caring and knowledgeable as this one. Through the 7 months of my mother's battle with pancreatic cancer, they've been extremely caring and helpful. If there is one drawback to doing business there, it's the corporate office. They could not make a deal for 2012 with ExpressScripts, which handles the military pharmacy plan. They also slowed down the processing of some expensive medicines. I'm sure they had good, financial reasons for their decisions, but it hurts the patient and the view of the pharmacy. The rest of the store is well-kept. Keep your coupons handy and make sure the prices match, but you have to be careful at all Walgreen's stores. read more

Pharmacy is temporarily closed. Initially didn't realize it until I went to pick up my prescription seeing a closed sign in the window despite several calls to get the status of it since no notice had been received. Telephone system leads you all over the place but not once did it inform you the pharmacy was closed! It will however tell you how many people are ahead of you on the call. Absolutely disgusting and so far outside adequate service. Will go elsewhere. read more

This is by far the worst pharmacy in Richmond, Indiana. They claim that prescriptions are not received even when the prescribing doctor has gotten confirmation that the pharmacy received the order. My child has both strep throat and flu. you would think this prescription would be filled in a timely fashion. It is not excusable to say it is not in their system when the doctor has proof from the pharmacy that it was, in fact, received. read more

I recently moved all of my prescriptions to CVS here in Richmond. Walgreens now closes their pharmacy on weekends. Some days you go to the pharmacy to pick up medication and they are just closed, no reason. I can't take a chance on not getting meds I need. Staff is nice enough, they just can't keep staff apparently. I've had a couple of doctors call in scripts to be filled, Walgreens says they never got the notices from the Doctor. when checking with the doctor, they have proof they have sent the requests to the Walgreen's pharmacy. They cannot be trusted to get things done in a timely manner. I've been using Walgreens for nearly 15 years. Too bad they have dropped the ball so many times read more

If I am presented with the option to shop at either CVS or Walgreens, I will definitely select Walgreens. Even though it is located a bit further from me, I will go out of the way to shop here. I just feel much more comfortable in their stores. I feel I don't have to worry about being robbed by the sketchy meth heads of Richmond if I'm making a few small purchases here. read more

Pharmacy tech quoted us prices when we dropped off my prescriptions which was fair. When my husband went back 3 hours later they were not done and he had to wait. One of the was $70.00 more than quoted price but he was so frustrated by that time he paid it and left. Will never go back there for prescriptions. read more

This pharmacy/pharmacist saved me from a sleepless night of agonizing pain. I was in town on business and came down with an excruciatingly painful infection. My doctor called in some antibiotics to the pharmacy at 9pm (the time they close). The pharmacist stayed there and waited for me to arrive so that I wouldn't have to drive an hour away to the next closest pharmacy that was open!! read more
