Waited in line an hour and a half at the pharmacy but they said they didn't receive the prescription and refused to fill it. I was really ill so it was a time sensitive prescription. They also closed the pharmacy with people in line behind me that had also been waiting that long. Others had similar issues where their prescriptions were called in there but the pharmacy claimed they didn't receive them. I ended up having to go to urgent care to get a new script to take to a different Walgreens to have filled. This pharmacy ended up accepting and filling it two days later. Avoid this location. read more

WARNING: DO NOT BUY APPLE GIFT CARDS FROM THIS STORE. Their third party gift card source is unreliable and your activation slip is not for your protection. The activation slip WILL tell you when someone else will have access to your gift card money. This store has gone from being a good one to one of the worst Walgreens I've ever shopped at in a short period of time. I'd be very careful about buying any gift cards from this store. You'll find it to be a hit or miss situation whether or not they're any good and if they're not good luck, dealing with them on getting your money back. It could take weeks if you get anything at all. The manager at this store is pathetic. Emily's inability to communicate with understanding for a customer's irritation over being sold expensive bad gift cards makes her the worst possible candidate for that position. Being told to call a number and get out of here to a customer that has shopped here longer than she has been alive so she doesn't have to deal with should be grounds for firing. read more

They seem to hire the crankiest people they can. One person seemed angry I had the nerve to ask if I could use the restroom and then nearly enjoy saying that it was broken and that they had not bothered to fix it (seriously, it was a bit creepy). I hope that maybe it was her saying that she was mad about it since they had no restroom to use either (which feels illegal?). All I know is that I really needed to go and don't appreciate the mocking. I went to ring up multiple orders and also figured I would grab some cashews but apparently you have to give your phone number to get the lower prices they have marked. I was going to use my old number I use for this kind of garbage but the cashier was such a bitchy sort - like wow... If I could give a zero, I would. I was on hold with this pharmacy for an hour and 9 minutes. This would have been longer, but I decided to drive to the pharmacy to see what the problem was. Two pharmacy techs told me that they were not answering phones as they were short staffed. I called to complain about this later, but Gabriel, a manager there, told me that I must have misinterpreted what they were saying because they would not have told me that. Basically, he told me I was lying. I said it was unacceptable to not answer a pharmacy phone and to leave people hanging for that long stating that "there is one caller in front of you" on the recording. He was unapologetic and told me that "the customer is always right IN MATTERS OF TASTE". They had hundreds of prescriptions to fill and they would probably not get to the one I requested, and he could care less. I've been a nurse for almost 30 years. Do yourself a favor and avoid this pharmacy at all costs. Zero customer service!!! read more

The service is extremely slow. Especially at the pharmacy. There is rarely more than one person attending. The drive through is even slower. To top that they consistently only fill partial prescriptions, so we have return and endure poor customer service twice. read more

Terrible experience again at the Beav Hillsdale Walgreens pharmacy. Techs are rude, incredibly slow and very, very long wait times for everything. I feel bad for the employees as it appears that Walgreens just refuses to staff to be able to handle work volumes for the pharmacy. Many shelves are empty. If I could give the pharmacist and crew that were on duty on Oct. 4th 2025 , it would be a resounding negative 20. The rudest most uncaring pharmacist and crew were on duty when I appeared for a flu vaccine . I received several reminders , several texts and filled out information online ., even scanned my phone to say I had arrived. My appt was set for 2:30.. I arrived at 2:15 . I waited while the line of people waited for their proscription when a woman arrived saying she was there also for her flu vaccine and that she was rescheduled for a time after my 2:30. She was taken in at a little after 3pm ... I thought the next in line for a shot would be me. I waited for another 15 minutes ... went up to the window and was told they were out of small needles and were working on it. Now it is closer to 4pm. No one at the window ... I approach the window .. I hear the blonde pharmacist remark "she's back"... then there is a back and forth with me asking them why they had me seat and wait while they could clearly see I was waiting for a full hour. Their response was that I was not in the system... so I asked them why had they not called me up so I could be put in the system... no clear answer... so I'm disgust ... I told them they were very inefficient and totally unprofessional ! Had I read all the negative reviews on line before I scheduled my shot at this Walgreens , I would never have scheduled my vaccine with them ... RUDE, OBNOXIOUS, and UNCARING pharmacist! read more

Repeatedly out of stock for a common Asthma medication that I rely on daily. The only Walgreens that stock them in the Portland are are a 45 minute drive from my pharmacy. Not even counting the 5 phone calls over 2 days (holding 30+ minutes each time) or the fact that they were trying to send a fax to my cell phone (doesn't work that way folks), just incredibly poor customer service. Really like this Walgreens! The store is always well stocked and super clean. The aisles are wide which is even more important during these Covid days when we are all doing our best to socially distanced. I don't use the pharmacy for my meds, but I do shop for my vitamins, hair products, lotions, and sometimes makeup like lipstick here. The other day I stopped in to pick up some prints I ordered online so I can make homemade Christmas cards. As soon as I walked over to the Photo area, a worker came over to assist me and let me ring up my items there. Afterwards I took a few laps around the store to see if there was anything I needed. In addition to picking up toothpaste and shampoo, the holiday aisle caught my attention. It's loaded with treats and small decor items, but what I really liked was the section of stocking stuffers. You know, those items you would never buy yourself but if you got up Christmas morning and found one in your stocking, you would love it. The items you didn't know you needed but now depend on. Well, I bought a "selfie light"; that you attach to your smartphone. For $5, it's worth a try. Especially since we all love the group selfie's to document our times. Lots of parking out front. All Covid practices being enforced. Good experience. read more

I purchased an Amazon gift card for $75 from this store, and when my nephew received it, it had already been redeemed. I went through the insane hoops to report it to Walgreens and after a 4 month long "investigation" all they said was yes it was purchased when you said and someone else redeemed it. This review is specifically for the pharmacy tech- I was mortified by the consult from an extremely ignorant or ill informed pharmacy tech. I am a Home Health Aide and very familiar with medications, especially the medications prescribed to my parent I care for. I arrived after 7 to pick up the RX. The young man at the counter asked if I wanted a consult, I declined but he seemed somewhat insisted since there was a note on her file. An incredibly rude blonde very loudly asks multiple times if I have DIARRHEA in front of the young man and a customer behind me. This is a HIPPA violation in itself. I explain that no, I am not a 74 year old with GI issues (clearly did not even read the customer profile) and to please just give me the medication. On top of that she seemed to find it truly amusing and didn't find her verbiage problematic whatsoever. I understand this is a tough time for the healthcare industry but please find staff that actually understands what customer service is, HIPPA and medical terminology. I'm horrified by this experience and will most likely find another pharmacy if this tech sticks around. I wanted to stay loyal to this place but with the closure of the drive thru, the incredibly incompetent tech and closed on Sunday... I don't know if I have a choice. I would rate higher as the other staff in the pharmacy and sales floor are all very kind and pleasant. read more

This pharmacy is so slow and inefficient and the people who work there are rude and disrespectful, probably because they have to deal with angry customers all day because of their incompetence. The line is always long and half the people leave angry without their prescriptions. I had to argue with the manager to pick up the one of three that was filled and prove that it was by showing him the text on my phone. The pharmacy here is a joke. After another Walgreens had given me the wrong amount of a medication, I tried to track down the correct amount. I spoke with a floater pharmacist, Ken, who was very kind- and he notated that he put the correct medication to the side with my name on it, so it wouldn't be distributed to anyone else before I got there. Due to insurance, I had to wait an additional day to fill and couldn't pick up same day. The following day I received a text message stating that my medication was out of stock and needed to be ordered. I promptly called and spoke to Stephanie(pharmacist) who I can only describe as being rude, unkind and unprofessional. When I explained my situation, she laughed. Laughed! She then asked me, verbatim "isn't there something you can supplement with over the counter until we can get your medication?" I didn't think I heard her correctly. No, Stephanie, I cannot supplement with something over the counter for an infection. She then tells me that another Walgreens (miles and miles away) has the medication. When I specify the dose I need she tells me they don't actually have that one but she's just "letting me know what they do have." Why do I care what they have if it isn't the correction medication, Stephanie? At this point I'm so frustrated I began to cry. I had been back and forth for days with incompetent pharmacists and my medication that had been specifically set aside for me was sold under her watch. As I'm crying she says to me in a raised tone "MAAM, you're being too much." She then puts me on hold and someone else picks up-I'm now speaking to someone else (this individual was actually very kind and helpful). Stephanie, you are in the wrong field of work. Your job requires empathy, kindness, professionalism and unmatched customer service. You are dealing with sick people, who are often at their most vulnerable. You possess none of these skills and I hope for your own sake you do some self reflection on your behavior. I have notified Walgreens Corporate of this as well. Having a pharmacist like this on staff is a danger to all patients. read more

Worst service ever, it's snowing Christmas Eve day at 1.30 last person in queue, very quiet and the pharmacy tells me that they are closed, the gentleman before me was the last customer and there was nobody behind me. I love Walgreens. The shelves are interesting, find something new and useful everytime. I could spend hours in there, infact my husband calls me to make sure I'm ok. The staff (other than pharmacy techs) are very helpful and nice. The pharmacist is always knowledgeable but very busy. I love this place! I am moving my business to another company. I'll explain why below. Prescription medications and insurance plans can be complicated, and timeframes count. This isn't new. Both patients and pharmacists have always needed to follow up if there are issues to resolve. What I go through to speak to someone at this pharmacy is unacceptable. The employees at this pharmacy refuse calls, and one female pharmacy tech in particular treats patients with open hostility and disrespect, and complains angrily about her work conditions when I try to address concerns. I've had this experience with them every single time over the past year. On a human level, my heart goes out to them due to understaffing, but would you trust this pharmacy with your personal health, or tolerate such rude, unprofessional conduct? I've tried going to this pharmacy in person, but there are long, long lines. Last month, I was late for work because I got stuck in the drive through for over 50 minutes and could not get out. The time before, I went inside, but I had a long wait there too, and with at least one or two unmasked customers who used their bare hands to cough and wipe their runny noses, then touch the ATM and counter areas. Today I tried calling because I needed to speak with someone about a time sensitive matter, but I had the same same dreadful experience as usual. For unsuspecting patients who want to connect with this pharmacy by phone, here's what I typically experience. I call and opt for the pharmacy and am left on hold indefinitely. I've learned after about 30 to 45 minutes I lose my place in line and I'm put on an unmonitored hold. I don't wait so long now, just 25 min max before I hang up and call again. I try that 3 or 4 times. Often someone picks up and hangs up on me, so I may call more. After the first hour or so of this, I call back and choose option 4 to ask a store employee for assistance. The store employee is usually impatient and wants to transfer me before I can explain, but I try to get their attention so they can intervene and get someone in the pharmacy to pick up. Unfortunately, this never works right away, if at all. When the store employee makes an internal transfer, it rings the pharmacy for a long time then automatically disconnects. I call the same general store line back to ask them to try again. This cycle takes persistence too. Today was the same, with one exception. After my third call to the store employee, she told me the pharmacy was CLOSED. Mind you, I started calling at 4:30 pm, and while that time did pass painfully slowly, it was still just 6:30 pm. The pharmacy doesn't close until 10 pm, 3.5 hrs later. She kind of argued with me when I told her it was not closed, but she didn't seem like a new employee, and all she had to do was look down the end of an aisle to see if they were open. At some point she just cut me off mid-sentence and hit transfer, and I went back to the same long rings and a hang up. Rudeness seems to be contagious. Finally the usual disgruntled pharmacy tech picked up. We discussed my prescriptions, and I tried to ask her to share my experience with her company to make staffing a bigger priority, but she was angry and hung up on me. This process happens every single time I've called this past year, including the tech hanging up on me mid-sentence at the end. I get their frustration, but patients occasionally need support, and they need to provide it. It's time for Walgreen's to make some decisions. I hope they read these reviews. I just read several that echo what I'm saying, and another that raises an additional alarm. That one indicates Walgreen's allows their pharmacists to deny prescriptions to women if the pharmacist has a 'personal objection.' Assuming he's correct, this is news to me, and it shouldn't be. Walgreen's should alert the public to this policy, because it may harm their female patients. Our healthcare can be complex and deeply personal, and pharmacists who refuse care put us at risk. If we suffer as a result, they with Walgreen's blessing wander into malpractice territory. The 'reassurance' that customer was given, that another Walgreen's pharmacist would always be on hand to fill any personally objectionable prescription, doesn't wash. This pharmacy is severely understaffed. As a patient, do you think you'll get through to a pharmacist via phone, if you have concerns (see my experience above)? Even if you do, how long will that take, and if you're turned away, do you or your caregiver have the time and resources to drive around from pharmacy to pharmacy to find a pharmacist who will do their duty? To borrow a phrase, do you feel lucky? Walgreen's, if you're paying attention, take our patient comments to heart, but don't stop there. Give your staff a call and listen to them too. You've got some good employees who deserve better. read more

I'd give 0 stars. I tried calling the pharmacy. First time on hold for 20 minutes. Second time on hold for 50 minutes then someone answered and hung up without even speaking to me. I called the store instead which the manager "transferred me a different route" sat on hold another 10 minutes to which was answered and hung up again. I can't get a hold of the pharmacy at all to even say what I need. This service is disgusting. Do not get your medication filled here. Im not one to complain but this made me extremely angry. Already adding to my review same day. So since I couldn't get ahold of anyone because they decide to leave people on hold and then hang up on them, I had to go into the location to cancel my prescription. The guy at the counter was disrespectful for no reason. Didn't show any remorse for being hung up on many times today. When he said it was cancelled I said "are you positive? I need to make sure I can bill it" and showed my screen on my phone where it showed my medication was pending and mentioned that i got a call it was filled, although i wanted it cancelled. He then rudely responded "well it's a computer, it's slow, I can't change when it updates. Idk maybe it will update tomorrow". I walked away after this. I feel so disrespected by this location. Especially after being on hold for hours today and hung up on at least 3 times. I am normally someone that apologizes for others mistakes and plays it off like everything was cool. I NEVER complain. My food is wrong at a restaurant? Probably my fault. But I am so upset with my experience and it warranted a complaint. read more

In addition to being cheerful and organized, they are super flexible and were able to fit my kids and my flu vaccines within the space of one appointment, saving us so much time. Yes, it's a pretty much a run of the mill Walgreens. There is a convenient drive through pharmacy. A "one hour photo" department. A good selection of over the counter meds, hygiene products, cosmetics, baby items, holiday decorations, greeting cards and tons of other things you may, or may not need for around the home. The pharmacists are great. The store staff is not the best, but again, it's a Walgreens. The prices are a bit high on most items. You can generally get things quite a bit cheaper on Amazon, and definitely at Costco, but in a pinch it's fairly close and easy to get in and out of. Parking can be tough as it shares a lot with New Seasons. If you can, avoid on a Tuesday. New Seasons has Senior Discount day on Tuesdays, and the parking lot is insane! read more

Avoid at all costs. It is state law that all store personnel must wear a mask.. After being hung up on by the pharmacist on duty, Anthony Tran, because he did not want to answer who was going to take accountability for the botched transfer and me, a cancer patient, being without my meds because of it, I went in to get the prescriptions they didn't mess up in a transfer so I could get everything else transferred to a competent pharmacy tomorrow. When I saw him, I asked him if it was standard practice to hang up on patients. When his only response was a blank look, I asked him if he was the one that hung up on me only 90 minutes earlier. He shrugged his shoulders and said 'maybe.' The pharmacist, Anthony Tran, then had a conversation with the woman seated next to him while she pulled down her mask to speak and laugh. Yes, she laughed, which means she spread saliva particles out of her mouth. The picture I have of her shows she's laughing. As he was 'counseling me,' he claimed he 'thought the conversation was over.' How quickly the stories changed. The store manager, Gabriel Alt, witnessed this, but 'didn't feel the need' to comment. Then he said she did not pull down her mask. When i showed him the pic, he suddenly became a lawyer and said it's illegal to post without her permission. Oh Gabriel, I'm not sure if your worse at being a store manager or lawyer, but it's time to find some other line of work. First off, I would like to start by saying that ANY of the reviews where people complain about long wait times for prescriptions, not having their medications in stock, anything to do with getting a prescription filled, I implore you to please take a step back and zoom out to what the actual problem is, and where blame actually lies, because I can absolutely without a doubt assure you, your issues are not with the staff. Would you be a happy bubbly, ray of sunshine if every single day when you walked into YOUR job, half your coworkers had either quit or were absent, but you still had the same amount of work to do, with less people to help you do it, essentially doubling your workload, that wouldn't set the tone for an incredibly high pressure stressful day? Of course it would. Maybe they didn't have your medication in stock. Well, I really don't know how people actually think it's the pharmacists fault. Lots of medications are having GLOBAL supply issues, the pharmacists are not the ones that can control whether or not certain pharmaceutical companies can make more odds read more

They seem to have quite a few new people behind the pharmacy desk that I would assume are students. I waited in line for over 25 minutes. They told me my insurance was expired for a medication (not true), and told me I'd have to wait another 10-15 min so they can re-process the order. I called my insurance company and was on the phone for 45 min trying to figure things out. Called Walgreens to let them know they need to contact my insurance provider. The guy says, "oh, well actually your insurance went through." No idea how they couldn't figure that out for the entire 25 min I waited in my car! read more

Today I was in the store to get my booster and saw this happen. An elderly lady asked to make an appointment for her Covid shot and the counter man said the system had been booked two weeks out and he was blocked from helping. She had no computer or cell phone so she could not make her own online appointment. Surely the system that is begging us all to get vaccinated could do more. Really disappointed getting my 12-year-old's COVID vaccine here. The pharmacist was brisk and robotic. I quietly mentioned my kid was a little anxious about the shot. He did not respond with any acknowledgment though he clearly understood. He didn't even bother to tell her she did a nice job afterwards or any kind or welcoming words at all. I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt as I could see he was quite busy but as we were waiting our 15 minutes post shot he gave the vaccine to beautiful underage teen and he was quite friendly with her with plenty of welcoming and warm comments. I guess this is a great place to get a vaccine if your an attractive female but not so great if your a regular mom and kid. read more
