Run around since last Wednesday on refilling a prescription. No more text notifications. After being on hold for 30 minutes I am told the prescription is out of stock. Last week it was a different excuse. If u can't deliver the prescriptions the store should be closed or a visible sign that advises customers that u cannot fill prescriptions. Never have my reg prescription, had to drive a town over to get it. This Walgreen's on Kings Hywy are very mean, bully type attitudes towards older ppl. It started off 2 yrs ago when we started there. We came here to live from MI. Finally, my husband had enough of the run around every time with prescriptions, month after month and asked to speak with a manager. After proving, yes proving he was in the right the manager said to take our business else where. We did. And have had no issues the last 2,months and we are treated with respect and friendliness at CVS. We could not take the abuse, yes verbal abuse and lies about not having our prescriptions and no one called it in over and over. I'm not telling all here but, you get the picture hopefully and go to CVS instead of this run around for no reason that we can think of except not liking the 60+ ages. We are not all grumpy anymore than the younger. read more

Walgreens took 2 days to "print" my last script and had no explanation when asked why. Summary of my last 3 pickups last year: Drive thru lines are long if it's even open. In store line wait times are long. Pharmacy is closed daily for lunch til 2pm read more

Completely unhelpful woman at the drive up window. I had my fur baby with me in the car, having come directly from the emergency vet. My baby had an infected abscess that ruptured underneath her fur, unbeknown to me (she was only acting like she was in extreme pain and I couldn't figure out where the pain was). The vet cleaned and closed up the open wound where the abscess burst. My fur baby had 4 staples closing up her wound on her back, and she was in pain. The vet didn't have the pain medicine in stock, so I drove to this Walgreens to fill the rx. I needed the medicine so we could go home and rest. The woman at the drive up gave the rx paper back to me, only saying "we don't have this in stock". Didn't offer to call or check another nearby Walgreens for it in stock. I sat there in shock that she was so incredibly unhelpful. I didn't say anything. The lady then said "you could go check Publix if they have it in stock". I finally found the words to say to her "I thought you would check your other locations for it in stock". She again didn't help whatsoever. Unbelievable. Walgreens, you literally have an employee telling customers to go to a competitor, instead of taking a minute to see what other (Walgreens!) location has the product in stock. What on earth is wrong with your staff???? I took my business to Publix and plan to go to them from now on. They were MUCH more pleasant and found a location that had the quantity in stock that the vet wrote the script for. read more

I went here to get my first COVID Shot. I had printed out and filled in all my paperwork, had everything in order and that plus their efficiency made the checkin process go smoothly. The Pharmacist who administered the shot was very friendly and knowledgeable. He also made that process go smoothly. I may say painlessly as well. Never even knew the needle went in my arm. I was very tired the next several hours and felt like a freight train hit me the next day but I come under the extremely vulnerable category which may have caused that issue. I recovered quickly so do not be afraid to get the shot. As for the store it was clean and well organized. As well as well stocked. Plenty of staff to assist you all wearing face mask. Easy to find and plenty of parking. read more

Walgreens in general are a decent store to shop. However the pharmacy location @ Rampart and Kings Hwy Punta Gorda Fl, is a different story. They claim medications will be ready at a specific time but add a day to actually be able to pick the medication. read more

Put on HRT patch after major surgery which there was delay after delay & telephone miscommunication between pharmacy techs and myself the customer where when I finally did get the prescription they only filled 8 of 84 patches and stated the rest would be in in a couple (2) weeks. It's been 28 days and I called last week and their automated voice messaging service keeps letting me know "tomorrow, & there's been a delay in your prescription" so after two days of "tomorrow" I called today since I am completely out of my patched (HRT is hormone replacement therapy, I had a hysterectomy bc of stage 1 cancer) so I'm on hold today calling them after going through automated system and the people there continued to pick up and place me on hold over 25 minutes. Never got in touch with anyone and I understand Bc of the way many pharmacies have run around this area over the past 15 years that they are short staffed and overworked and I know this because I'm a critical care registered nurse that works in trauma icu, medical surgical icu and neuro icu. So I'm a patient person when it comes to medical and pharmaceutical back ups and delays but this is kinda getting ridiculous. The only reason why I am even trying to get this from Walgreens is bc my physicians office that did my surgery messed up and placed order at this store, I use CVS because even though not much better with medications and timing and understanding how to make the system of delivery better and more efficient at least they hear me out if there's an issue and the conversation is brief as possible and 99% of the time if it's an issue I can usually have that issue resolved but not this pharmacy. I recommend that people if possible you have your prescriptions put into other stores, or chains that at least will be able to contact you if prescription is filled or not ready or is partial. I also do not believe in having to pay until the prescription is filled instead of piece meal'd to ya. Below is a picture of the front of my phone if you look on top you'll be able to see the time I was on hold or in their "Q" with repeated pickups of receiver and placed back on hold with no one answering, which is over twenty minutes, heck I even made my bed, put laundry away, and took a shower before I gave up! At least my day was productive unlike theirs! Lol. I went here for two days straight and brought gift cards and those to days I wasn't able to redeem them and come to find out that I was being scammed the whole time because I never received money back I showed proof that it wasn't working and they said that there was nothing they are able to do about it. I'm so happy that there is a Walgreens at this location. We come down as much as we can and have a golf cart in the hood, so it's a regular outing. Ice, and about everything else. Very nice and helpful staff, and the store seems extra clean. Well! The pharmacy was sweet and helped me out with info and tips that I neither Walgreens that I have dealt with at home. For years! Told me that with my high co pay, it would be cheaper to just buy 3 months worth than monthly use of my copay. Plus would have 3 months worth. Plus told me about the good Rx app! Makes it Ex's even cheaper! Very helpful. I wish that I could remember her name. It was over the phone. When I came in, I should've said Hi. I've been using this info ever since. read more

The phones are always busy, staff is always rude, and never have my rx ready when they say they will. When I show up at the time they give me I usually have to wait another :30 or leave and come back. I'm transferring today. I'm sitting in line now for the 2nd time this am to pick up an rx they said was ready last night. read more

This Walgreens is a "Poster Child" for diversity. Not only does it have a racially diverse set of associates, but it also employs some associates with different disabilities (hearing impaired, but speaks sign-language). I was a new patient with several prescriptions to pick up. It took quite a bit of time due to the paperwork and inputting my information. But any pharmacy would take the same amount of time if not more. Unfortunately I don't remember the tech's name but she was wonderful. She kept me informed about her progress and apologized a couple of times for taking so long. I will continue to use this pharmacy because I consider it to be very customer friendly with courteous staff. read more

Not happy with the staff.My 26 year old daughter arrived here at 8:50 on Sunday.Her 2 year old daughter was sick and she needed children's medicine.She grabbed an arm load of meds and juices and proceeded to the counter at 9:02 pm.The cashier/manager said "I did not know you were in the store and my register is closed out,I cannot complete your purchase"......WHAT?......So did you start closing your register before your posted closing time?Did you not check the store for customers before you close it?Is there no notification to the cashier when someone enters the store.........So off to Wal-Mart it is....Should have done that to start with!!! read more

Today I heard employee Wanda say a very offensive joke about her deaf coworker Maria. Maria does an amazing job. I go out of my way to come to this location just because of her. I was absolutely disgusted by what Wanda said. I did call and talk to the manager and he was very apologetic and sorry. I'd give this store 5 stars if it wasn't for Wanda. I came into the store today to get air freshner refills and batteries. When my Fiance messaged me to get water. We are on a well system and purchase water in bulk every 2 weeks. While I realize there is a hurricane watch nearing Florida, I grabbed my usual 4 packages. Upon walking to the register an employee approached the cashier and stated that they were only allowing 2 packages as everyone is in a panic. As I look around the store I see no one panicking. I see people picking up prescriptions and buying items as usual. I advised there were no signs anywhere stating as such and that if that were the case it might be beneficial for Mgmnt to post that in sight. I then told the employee she can walk the two packages she was not allowing me to purchase back to the aisle as I had only my daughter with me. She then threw her set of keys on the counter towards the cashier. I aaked if she was the Manager and she said Yes. I explained to her how unprofessional that was at which point she rolled her eyes at me and argued that she did not throw the keys. I would highly suggest that a lesson on professionalism and managerial skills be had with Kaitlyn who also refused to provide her last name so that I could speak to her superior, to whom she said I would not reach today. The only person panicking seemed to be Kaitlyn. And I'm highly disappointed with the lack of respect she demonstrated. read more
