Walgreens - Drugstores Near Me - Pikesville, Maryland

This has got to be the worst Walgreens I've ever been to in my life. The pharmacy is the pits. Plus, you can never get through on the phone. Even doctors can't get through on the phone. They leave a prescription order, and you have to pick it up because the doctor called it in, and you need the prescription. They claim it's not there, but it's actually because they never check their phone line. It's wild that a doctor can call in a prescription for you and still can't get through to the pharmacist. The store is understaffed, and the staff doesn't seem to care, even when they're understaffed, about helping you and getting things resolved unless you go in there and raise holy hell. The store shelves are half empty. If you are planning to pick up non-prescription medication, consider ordering from Amazon instead of trying to find it on their shelves, as you'll have a better chance of success. The only reason I go to this location is to pick up prescriptions for a family member. I don't use it myself because of the horrible experience I've had here, picking up prescriptions, and having to wait, or having to call and not get staff on the phone, and being on hold for over an hour. I do not recommend this location, and frankly, from the reviews for other Walgreens locations in the area, I don't recommend them either. read more

Prescription submited electronically by my doctor for two medications. Wallgreens Pharmacy opens at 9 am and by 9:15 I received a text notification that one prescription could be filled and that one was not in stock. Now it is 3 PM and I cannot find out the status of my prescription to be filled. The data on the webpage, says pending so I called, Like others have posted months ago, I have been on hold now for75 minutes. For the last 15 minutes there has been one caller ahead of me. I just wanted to wait and let them know I do have a choice and their non-accessibility is the reason for me to go elsewhere. Either the webpage is inoperative, or the phone system is no working properly, or there are just no enough employees. Since I do have a choice, it is time for me to hang up and find a different pharmacy chain, which has human vaulues and does not rely on impersonal, protective shields in order not to deal with the customers in person. Defective disinfectant spray - Walgreens brand. Attempted to return because the nozzle was clogged after using the product. Was given a HARD time by 2 associates at the store. Had to challenge them because the can states Walgreens offers a 100% satisfaction guarantee whereas the store associates tell us that the product could not be returned due to usage and that's the store's policy. So, who do these associates work for: Walgreens or are they self-employed with their own policies? Left the store DISSATISFIED. Go elsewhere ... hopefully, Target or CVS will treat you with respect; this store apparently doesn't treat customers that way. read more

I went to Walgreens in Pikesville to take a Covid test. The test cost $24.99 however I was told I need a mask to have the test administered. I did not a have mask so I was unable to take the test. You would think at $24.99 they would at least provide a mask. I went to Walmart and purchased an in home test for $15.99. read more

Stopped in to buy some gift cards. Went early on a Saturday morning and it was empty. Parking lot had plenty of empty spaces and when I went in I only saw one other customer. The store was clean and well lit inside. I just wanted to purchase a few gift cards but noticed that had coke and sprite on sale. The deal was too good to pass up so I grabbed three 12 packs. They were a little to bulky to carry around the store so I got a cart. I would pick the cart with a broken wheel but it got the job done. I went to the gift card display and they had a good selection of gift cards. I selected the ones I wanted and when to check out. The Cheshire was friendly and got me out quickly. After I loaded my items into my car the cashier came out and took the cart back in for me. I assume it was because the store was not busy but it was a nice gesture. My shopping g experience was pleasant. This store is conveniently located near my home so I would stop back again if need be. read more

I was on hold for 45 minutes Saturday to speak with the pharmacy. I ended up driving there. Once I got to the counter I hung up at 1 hour and 2 mins with still 2 people waiting infront of me. I was trying to see if they could order a specific pill for my dog. The lady at the counter said they didn't have it in stock but because this wasn't her store I should take it to a different Walgreens to see if they can order it. I told her I didn't want to run to another Walgreens just for them to tell me they don't carry it. Could she at-least check their system. She said she can't because neither her nor the pharmacists on duty's credentials work there. How is that effective for customers? read more

This is a scary store to visit. Almost everything is locked up. The shelves are almost bare. Most of the people who work there are pleasant but the guy who waited on me the other day was angry and came across as rude. Probably just having a bad day but it added to my feeling scared. read more

I love coming to this Walgreens! I'm a frequent shopper in the photo department. Chris is awesome! I had an issue with a recent photo order. I showed him the pictures and expressed my concerns. He immediately assisted me. My pictures were reprinted . I didn't have to do a new order but I didn't mind. Great customer service trumps new orders always. I also had a 50% off coupon. Chris gave me an additional 50% off of that. I ended up paying $5.25 for 20 photo cards with envelopes! I will continue to return to this Walgreens for photo cards! read more

I would give Walgreens (Pikesville, MD) 3 stars but I have been on hold with the pharmacy for over 30 mins. I am still on hold for the pharmacy as I am typing this. I am very aware of the challenges that COVID-19 has presented and I would like to see Walgreens be a little more proactive in assisting their customer (more than one pharmacy tech on duty). I am person in my mid-30s and have the time to wait on hold, however, if this was the level of service my grandparents/senior citizens received, I would be completely outraged. I called from a different telephone line and spoke with the Store Manager. She was very polite and indicated that there are issues with their telephone systems. This is the worst Walgreens I have ever dealt with. Your call will not get answered because of the absolutely TERRIBLE customer service. Waited 7 hours for my wives prescriptions, called about 5 times being on hold for over 30 min each, I finally had enough and went in. I made sure I was still on hold to see what the wait is actually all about. I go in to see 4 people in line and I see the lady on her personal phone while the pharmacy phone is ringing off the hook. I notified the workers of how lazy they're being and they replied with "we've had a long line all day". All of the people in line looked at me and said they tried calling too. Maybe if you pick the phone up and answer it to help people with their questions, their wouldn't be a line out the door and any issues. If you truly don't care about your job, then get a new one. Nobody is forcing you to work at a pharmacy where you obviously don't care. read more
