Not a good first impression. They didn't have their store brand 'alka-seltzer' I was looking for and their foot cream was way overpriced. A disappointing experience all the way around. Nova Star is one of those increasingly rare places where it's always a person to person experience. It's a tiny store. But the owner has such good taste in products and somehow manages to stock the store with a wide variety of things that are high quality, unique, and cool. Skincare, bodycare, vitamins and supplements, teas, candles, soaps, everything. A lot of organic and artisanal products. A lot of smaller brands. A lot of imported things that you don't see every day. It's like a magic trick. They're also super nice as pharmacists. And just super great customer service all around. IMO, this is not one of the best pharmacies in Philadelphia, it's one of the best stores overall. Period. This is one of those almost flawless things. I have no notes. They could not be better.

Their attitudes are just that, attitudes when assisting the public. The last time I checked, thats a direct in their job description. Yet, they have NO politeness or enthusiasm. They have NO SENSE of urgency, no matter how many people are waiting to pick up their prescriptions. This goes for when the inside was open, right up until now (as the last time I was there only the drive thru is now functioning). My family & I just gave up hope going there to get our meds. Because at this point, EVERY TIME you make an attempt, the line of cars are out to the street. I'm not sure what a facelift will do to help this place, if they continue to have the same staff. Sadly, they're not much different from most other CVS's. I don't know if it's a requirement to move slow & have a crabby attitude to work at a CVS, but it definitely feels like their norm.

Refilling online with them is useless, they never refill and claim they didn't get it. when they do get it and it's out of stock, no one ever tells you. After waiting a week, I would call and then they would tell me they don't have it. After waiting on hold for an hour, Go to any pharmacy but avoid Walgreens I had to call the store and got to speak to the pharmacist (Lisa), she was rude and condescending. I've never been treated so badly. I've been in the medical field for over 35 years and would never treat a patient the way I was treated by Lisa and Walgreens . shame on her and on Walgreens!!!
