My elderly neighbor was released by the hospital today and was told to pick her medication on the way home. I went to pick her up at the hospital and we drove to Walgreens to get her medicine. They had one filled but not the other. The woman at the drive through just said come in and shop and we will have it ready in 20-30 minutes. My neighbor, 86 years old who had just spent 5 days in the hospital didn't feel like "shopping". I asked why it would take so long to get medication filled and her response was " it's a process ". I can count out 30 pills in 30 seconds. I am new to Owensboro myself but will certainly not use Walgreens on Frederica Street for my personal medication. read more

No matter what time of day I go in, I ALWAYS have to wait entirely too long. I do not purchase my medication here; I merely go in for snacks and things of that nature. Often there won't even be anyone behind the counter. The clerk who is supposed to be there typically is found in one of the aisles stocking and not paying attention to the line of people waiting for them. When they actually are behind the counter, they take forever with each customer, partially due to their long-winded conversations with each one. They try to be friends with everyone. Some actually started calling me by my first name because it was on my debit card. The most offense clerk activity I witnessed would have to be the one cleaning her nails while still helping me. I picked up a prescription on June 25th and instead of paying the $3.35 I was quoted by my insurance company for the prescription the pharmacy instead charged me $37.36. It also took them 12 hours plus to fill two prescriptions one prescription was just a box of patches that would normally probably only take 5 mintues to do. They added an extra prescription on that I hadn't even asked them to refill. I am switching all of my prescriptions over to the home delievery pharmacy my insurance company goes through and I encourage others to do the same. read more

Horrible. I spoke to a person over the phone and they said three hours. I show up in four and it's not filled. This place deserves less than one star. I'm moving to CVS. read more

Walgreens is pretty standard. Come here of you need 5 hour energy shots, tampons, hair gel, ice cream and bouncy balls... Not all to be used at the same time... I hope. read more

How is possible to have this poor customer service? It seems that each customer requires about 10-15 minutes to help. They are also possibly the rudest people I have ever been unfortunate enough to have to deal with. I just cannot comprehend how a corporation can be so...BAD. If the girl behind the counter spent as much time with customers as she does flirting with her co-workers, I would give them a 5 star rating! read more

I'll just start off by saying I knew there was a reason why my regular pharmacy is CVS & not Walgreens. Since I had to take my son into the hospital at midnight, & did not get out till 4, Walgreens was the only place that I knew of that had a 24 hour pharmacy. Me and my boyfriend pulled into their drive thru & explained to the pharmacist we needed to pick up some prescriptions and handed him the prescription order. The pharmacist looked at us & said, "When do you want to pick these up?" We were confused as he did not even let us know how long it would take. He then said, "Ten to twenty five minutes." So we left and came back about 10 minutes later. We pulled back into the drive thru and saw him working to get our two prescriptions ready, which were just children's ibuprofen & another children's fever reducer. We sat in the drive thru for a good ten minutes longer with no greeting from the man whatsoever or any indication that he was even giving us any attention. He finally came to the window and proceeded to say, "12.73" over the intercom. No please, nothing other than barking a price at us. We paid and my boyfriend kindly said, "Thank you." He stared at us for a minute, didn't say a single word, & walked away. It was the rudest, most awkward interaction I have ever seen. I understand no one wants to be up late and working, I worked night shifts for years myself, but it is no excuse to be rude, especially when the person is not being rude with you. I am sure if I need any more prescriptions in the middle of the night I may come back to Walgreens, since I believe it may be the only 24 hour pharmacy in town, but I would probably have no other reason to ever come again. Honetly, I believe there may be another Walgreens in town so I might just have to drive a little further to the next one. This guy was just too rude and awkward to ever want to deal with again. Went to pick up my daughter's antibiotic after taking her to an urgent care. At the Frederica St. Walgreens I was told it had just come in and they would have it ready for pick up in an hour and a half. They even told me they would text me when it was ready. Two and a half hours later after not ever getting a text I went back to the pharmacy and was told they didn't have it. They claimed they never received anything even though they had already told me they had it and would get it ready. By this time the urgent care was closed so my daughter will have to suffer without any medicine until at least 8am tomorrow. I am beyond angry. Will be shopping for a new pharmacy right away. If I could give zero stars I would. read more

Very close to me so I've been going here a long time. Nearly every time I get upset. They are not friendly, not customer oriented, do not consider the fact that they make you wait forever to get your prescription. I stepped across the line on the floor to try to speed things up and was told in very rude way to get behind the line until the lady packs up her purse and walks away from the counter. Hard to explain how rudely I was treated. I told them that I felt I was disrespected every time I came in and I will never be back. The next day I went out scouting for new drugstore and the experience I had at Nations makes me think they might be what I've been looking for. We'll see. read more
