As long as you have a clean background, take good care of your clients, have reliable transportation, have a pleasant personality, you will have job security. Comfort Keepers advertise local, loving in home care for seniors, feeding special diet, bathing, hygiene, incontinence & toileting, mobility assistance, grocery, errands, med reminders and a lot of others. What they don't tell you is --you will have NO idea if someone shows up for your loved one and if you find out no one is there, they act like it's your fault. We finally had to have the caregivers send us a text msg to tell us they were there. We had one caregiver leave our mother at 11am, with no food, no way to go to bathroom... I was out of town and driving back home. No one from the office bothered to come sit with my mother until I got home. At one point, I told the office that I was wanting to keep my mom happy and out of a nursing home, their response? "Well, if you decide she needs to go to a nursing home, please call us". They don't want your business. They apparently do not train their employees very well either. We had several come in to take care of my mom that had never had any experience at all!! My mom was not a hard person to take care of, she had several really good caregivers that loved her. They wouldn't put them with my mom but send them elsewhere. I wouldn't recommend this place at all. They were not very nice to my sister or me. We payed them a LOT of money to keep Mom happy and out of a nursing home. They acted like it was our fault, anytime someone didn't show up, they made us both feel horrible. We loved our mom very much. She passed away June 21 after a stroke. She was in Hospice, thank the good Lord that Comfort Keepers were out of the picture! They asked us at the hospital if we wanted mom to go home and we said NO, Comfort Keepers couldn't find someone on normal days, we wanted mom to die with dignity and in peace. Hospice provided this.

Absolutely no problem. The second time we rented a knee roller the woman just told us about the plain roller for $25.00. I explained the difference in the rollers and price, and said I wanted the plain $15.00 scooter. She insisted that they never carried a $15.00 rental scooter. I told her we rented one a few months earlier at the $15.00 rental fee. I told her that I would get the rental papers and show her. Again, she denied the $15.00 rental fee. At the time, the other DME stores were out of scooters. We had no choice but to rent one at the $25.00 charge. Also she tried to charge 2 weeks in advance. I asked her what if we didn't need it for 2 weeks (we rented for 6 weeks). She implied that we would not get credit for the extra week. I was stuck with the terms and extremely mad.

Hope you have better luck if you are forced to go in this establishment.
