I actually dread having to pick up Prescriptions at this location. I'm sure that it would be the same at any Walgreens, but this one gets my ire because it's the one I use. It seems like if they're not out of something or if I need a refill I can't seem to get them all done on the same day so I have to make multiple trips every time. And they won't transfer my prescription to another Walgreens location when they are out of it. And if I don't pick up my prescription right away and they cancel it, that burns that prescription so I have to call my doctor again to get it refilled again, even though I could've picked it up a day ago, except these twits are closed for lunch during my lunch break and I work until 8 most days, so it's Saturday I'm off and went to pick it up. but because it was canceled, now I can't get it. This makes no sense and it's just one more hassle I have to go through. So sick of Walgreens, Doctors and prescriptions. The system blows, and their process blows. I'd say I'll never use them again, but what's my alternative and what a hassle the system makes it to transfer somewhere else. I'm going to try next time I see the doctor. read more

It is may be the most sloppy and ugly. Also, they take a really long lunch break to which they don't have in the hours listed. It is unorganized and rarely friendly. I only go because it's close to my house and they take my insurance. Sometimes I pay more just to go to cvs. read more

Usually, this place was great. Prescriptions would be filled easily. Staff is friendly. The Walgreens app helps also. However, recently, they've been having a lot of problems. The lines for the pharmacy have been considerably slow. Also, why have a second drive through lane that has never been open? I've made calls to the pharmacy within the store and have sat on hold for 20 minutes only to finally hear a pickup and the worker hang up. I know this is happening because I hear the background of the pharmacy. Just poor management and operations. Likely due to the low wages, turnover, worker shortage, etc, etc, etc. Unfortunately, this is the closest Walgreens to my house and my HMO network. read more

As other reviews have said, they intentionally put you into a call loop over and over again. You can hear the background of the store and then hear them hang up after making you wait for 10+ minutes. Guessing someone needs to come in and notify their management about this. read more

I don't recommend this pharmacy to accurately fill prescriptions if the pharmacist isn't current with Kansas law. Without divulging more information, I can tell you that the pharmacist was grossly uninformed. She was a hindrance to providing quality patient care. read more

Hours published in google are not reliable. Drive thru not open even though Covid is over (sept 2022). Pharmacy sends notifications prescriptions being filled them cancels essential prescription with no notice including medication for chronic illness. Pharmacy staff refuse to look and see how f another Walgreens location has medication. Employees do not know their managers name or how to find them and therefore there is no escalation pathway. This is not a reliable capable pharmacy. read more

Just overall poor pharmacy service -- especially since the onset of Covid-19 Placed on hold for many 25+ minutes to check on a prescription than disconnected. I have never seen a pharmacy so poorly run. They have not been able to staff for two years enough people to even keep the drive thru open and when you go in you may only get half of the meds you have been prescribed. I just left there and they only filled two of my 4 prescriptions and lied to me and said they only got two and when my doctor called they told him they haven't had time to fill them. This pharmacy used to be great but, in the last 3 months, they have been unprofessional and unable to fill prescriptions. I sympathize with shortages and this tough time, but some of the things happening are just unacceptable. We have had multiple prescriptions waiting for 7+ days that just said 'in progress', for the last 3 months. Some urgently needed. Like another Yelp reviewer said, we tried calling to ask why our prescriptions were taking SO long and heard the pharmacist pick up and hang up after a 20 minute+ wait on the phone. After showing up inside the store, they had the medications on hand and filled them after a wait. The reason they were not filled was not really explained. Even though this pharmacy is the closest to us and convenient, we are planning on transferring our business because of the inconsistency. read more

I agree with all the posts before. I have used this pharmacy for years and they are the worst in KC. I was told to pick up pain medication at 12:15 for my daughter. When I arrived there was a line that was 4 deep. Everyone had an issue. 2 people complained of phones being down and no one solving. The pharmacy manager came over and indicated to "use the app". Another women had to split her pills into separate bottles (one at a time) because they couldn't figure out system. When it was my turn they said it wasn't ready and to sit for 20 mins. When I said I had a work appointment they told me to come back tonight for pain medication for a surgery. She said we will hurry. They took an additional 35 mins and everyone was upset while there. read more

Their management and staff members are quite lacking when it comes to customer service and efficiency. You could plan on dropping in to grab something quick, but (as quick as you are) just plan on an extra ten minutes standing in one line because managers and workers can't figure out how to use their systems checkout to run more than one (or know how to refund- literally the manager was struggling helping someone). If I were the owner I would put in a self checkout and find a new management team. read more

This was a great store with quick prescription service. Now, no phone calls are answered with waits between 20 and 35 minutes before your call is dropped by them. No drive-up window service due to staffing, the sign says. Lines in the store are long and slow. There is always someone ahead of you that doesn't have their game on or their insurance won't go through and you're made to wait for the problem to be solved. last time, I was in line for 48 minutes before I was welcomed to the counter. Another of their tricks is that you show up and your script is not ready but will be in another 15-20 minutes so tack on that wait time. Lack of staff means the salary and work conditions are not favorable. Corporate blames it on the pandemic and that excuses everything. Profits over service as if drugs and insurance tiers aren't already ripping us all off. We'll ne using Amazon come January or Good Dx or anywhere else. read more

I usually go here for photo orders and they always have my order ready on time or sooner. Their website has great specials for photo orders as well as photo gifts as well. Buying food here is fairly expensive but that is pretty common with a convenient store as compared to a grocery store. Sometimes they do not always have as many employees as they need at one time but overall I've never had a bad experience here. read more

They racially profile people specially if you walk in with casual clothing vs business attire if you are darker skin toned. They refused to sell me gift cards that I needed for a corporate event (they didn't even ask me for an ID or even a corporate card to verify- just "refused"). No one asked me anything, just that they saw me with gift cards and refused selling them to me by my looks. This is very ironic when just two days ago my white mother in law was buying the exact same quantity of gift cards to help me out..unfortunately she couldn't complete her purchase as she didn't have my card's PIN. But they HELPED her with the gift cards . In my case, they refused service didn't even ask me how many or if I had an ID, refused it. I asked how many can I even buy, she said she had to "refuse my purchase". When I asked why they said it looks like a scam and they will have to check-- the "check with the manager" never got completed:). I walked out of that store telling them in the end that I refuse to purchase stuff from a store that racially profiles people. read more

This Walgreens Pharmacy, (in Overland Park on "Pflumm"), is absolutely the worst! Customer service is so incredibly substandard, 'Corporate' ought to be embarrassed! Scripts usually take a week to a week and a half to be filled, and then only if you make a personal appearance 'in store' to inquire. Moreover, they simply refuse to answer the phone. We refused to accept this anymore, and decided to transfer our business elsewhere. They were not compliant with their competitors request for electronic transfer of our scripts, until I called 'Corporate', (in Deerfiled, Il.), and threatened a law suit. Do yourself a big favor and take your business ANYPLACE else! read more

This is the worst pharmacy in the KC metro area. It's over an hour wait on the phone, if they don't just hang up on you. Then, after calling in my prescription days in advance, it was still not ready when I went to pick it up. Then they told me that it would be 1-2 hours to get it filled. This Walgreen Pharmacy has deteriorated to the point that I am going to pull all my scripts f rom them and go to CVS. Their inability to fill prescriptions in a timely fashion is not only aggravating, it's also extremely dangerous for customers who need to medicine immediately and cannot go to another pharmacy because the medicine has already been charged to the insurance carrier. No-one answers their phone, so you don't even know if the prescription has been called in. The automated system they are using is unnecessarily complicated. All in all, a bad place to shop. though the location is 1/4 of a mile from my house, I'm going elsewhere. read more

This Walgreen's is just ok. I had to go to this one, because they were the only one to stock the medicine I needed and at that they only had 2/3 and had to back order the remaining 1/3. There was only one person working the prescription counter besides the pharmacist. She was trying to run the drive thru and help those inside. After she rang up a prescription for a woman the woman asked if she could ring her FULL cart out there with 7 of us in line at least 3 cars I could see. The cashier said YES. WTH????? She should have said no you must go up front I have a line or at least called for back-up. Poor decision making skills on her part. The 2nd time I went in to get the remaining meds there were two people working back there, same blonde girl and a bald guy and the same thing happened again. Really???? Walked in tonight and customers were not wearing masks. When I asked the employee why they were letting people in without masks. I was told they were not enforcing the mandate that people have to wear masks in Kansas. So I turned around and left. Went to CVS. CVS IS enforcing the mandate. read more

Been a loyal prescription customer since the store opened. Appreciate either ordering automatically or individually through the Internet. The mail order delivery is convenient. I have found the pharmacy staff extremely pleasant & they will go the extra mile. Really like the express pay ability. read more

I have used this pharmacy since I moved to this area, approximately two and a half years ago. My experience has been that the employees are kind and do their best to assist customers. I use several medications because of a complicated diagnosis and they have been extremely willing and helpful to me. If I have questions about a new medication they make sure I understand and they have helped me when I have had to change insurances and my medication plan changes. I have watched how they work with other customers and seen that my treatment is not the exception. I have found these people to be professional, and extremely patient. I wouldn't go anywhere else now. read more
